Beginners imaginatively explores the hilarity, confusion, and surprises of love through the evolving consciousness of Oliver (Ewan McGregor). Oliver meets the irreverent and unpredictable Anna (Melanie Laurent) only months after his father Hal (Christopher Plummer) has passed away. This new love floods Oliver with memories of his father who - following 44 years of marriage - came out of the closet at age 75 to live a full, energized, and wonderfully tumultuous gay life. The upheavals of Hal's new honesty, by turns funny and moving, brought father and son closer than they'd ever been able to be. Now Oliver endeavors to love Anna with all the bravery, humor, and hope that his father taught him. -

I watched this movie yesterday. I wasn't looking for it, though. It accidentally popped up in my movie app and since I, a 21 year old, was free with a lot of snow outside, I decided I'd give this movie a go!
The first few minutes were intriguing and made me serious about this movie. I believe this movie is for me, as I'm going through some sort of depression. I felt good, later. It's like I mediated for 90 odd minutes.
It has been over a year later, I hope you're doing better!

This feels like a Wes Anderson creation.
Go to this trailer @ 00:37. the line is "and this is what the sky looked like in 1955", showing a contrail/chemtrail sky. I watched the film and the image is completely different. That's interesting that they would substitute a grainy black and white photo of the sky with an image of lines i the sky from a jet and from my perspective a chemtrail sky.
I seen this movie guys, while it's slow moving, it is a great movie to watch in the summer time when it's hot outside with a lollipop in ya mouth 😉
