First watched this at 2015, and 6 years later this masterpiece is still my favorite go to movie whenever I feel sad and feel the need to be reminded that no matter what happens to me and to my life, I might get my heart broken, mess my life, fail in my dreams, I can always begin again. Thank you for this masterpiece.

This movie put a genuine smile on my face. John Carney can make music and film compliment eachother perfectly. It felt so real and honest..and that dance scene where everyone freezes and "tries not to dance", but the song is irresistable and everyone breaks out into full dance mode and just felt so exciting and natural that I actually had watery eyes while smiling ear to ear. This movie just got me.
Mark Hazleton watch sing street, imo it's his best movie till date

Because despite this being popular, he said some pretty dickish things about Keira after this had been released that pissed her and a couple of the cast members off which he later apologised for.

Saw the trailer and thought, "Eh, typical movie with a predictable plotline", but then I read the comments about how the trailer doesn't give it justice, so I gave it a try, and I have to say, the comments are speaking the truth. The movie was actually good, way better than I'd expected from the trailer, at least. I really liked all the songs in the movie, too, well written and poignant. So give it a try :)

it was an underrated film
I watch it a second time on the toilet and going to sleep and it was ok I guess, kinda like a meh like Erin Brockovich. But great in the toilet as it all flows out of my bowels and as I walk out I say to myself.. 'glad I watched it while I was taking a dump, cause it represents the film well and how you feel watching it'...

Folks, I'm watching the movie right now. I'm at the 53:16 mark. I paused it to come on and say WATCH THIS MOVIE!!! When I first saw the trailer, it sorta sucked and then I read all these comments about the trailer didn't do the movie justice, I though it was a marketing ploy but I started watching and I'm glad I did! Watch it! It's brilliant!

this movie is so good. the soundtrack is flawless I love how it reflects the storylines and how each character's tracks reflect them perfectly- especially all the various versions of lost stars. and what I love most is how its doesn't do and predictable cliché. really worthwhile watching
Very good movie. I love everything about it. Such a beautiful movement. I love how its in ny, i love how it just lifts your mood. Its like those inspiring good feeling movies.
Yea this movie really got to me. It felt so natural, I don't live in NY but I've been there countless times and recognized most of the areas. It had me smiling so much, especially the dance when everybody has to "freeze". It had positive energy which feels nice to see nowadays...it was good to see an adult movie without needing the sex and violence.

There were quite a few profound moments in this film but, the one that stuck with me the most was something that Kiera’s character Gretta says to Mark’s character Dan. It was something along the lines of, you let your troubles weigh you down so much that you forgot to continue living your life. That really hit me and was something I really needed to hear at that time. When a film can move its audience to examine their own lives and deliver hope in a realistic way, you have achieved what many films cannot. In this day and age of endless sequels, spin offs and low quality writing, I found “Begin Again” refreshing and enjoyable. I hope you give it a shot!

I loved Keira in this movie SO MUCH. Her voice is soothing and the character was charming. Such a wonderful performance by her. Not your typical ending, clichéd flick I definitely recommend this film.

I watched this movie without knowing anything about it so I was able to really enjoy it without reservations and take it for what it is: a simple and honest movie, with some good subtle deepness... this movie was effortlessly refreshing. Highly recommend.

I watch this movie few times a year and I still love it so much. For some reasons it calms me down. It helps me remember the years I stayed in New York. To be honest I do not like the city in many ways but this movie brings out the good memories while I was there.
This movie was such a surprise! I was impressed by their use of various string instruments during the bands recording sessions. Also! How Ruffalos actor was imagining the sounds that could be added from the initial Performance of Knightley! Such a great film, definitely worth a rewatch !

I loved the first 20 or 30 minutes. How keria's and mark's characters meet and what revolves around that. I can't get enough of how well done that was. Also the scenes with keira on her computer were soo good, how they transitioned to tell the love story. It's not at all a typical story line. It's a really good movie, def check it out

Interestingly enough, the director/writer's next movie Sing Street I really LOVED. That one really blew me away.
Beautiful movie, one of the best movies of this year's and probably last. I recommend everyone to watch it. I just wished if it would be longer beacuse listening to all of those beautiful song's felt like watching a short movie.

Saw this film at TIFF when it was called "Can a Song Save Your Life?" Trust me when I say I didn't want this movie to end. The story, the acting, 10/10.
My husband and I just watched this movie..GREAT MOVIE!! I loved it. You can't ever go wrong with Knightley and Ruffalo!! You will be pleasantly surprised by the ending, very happy!
