I was a 14yr old black kid in 1976 playing bass and loved jamming this song. I had the best of both worlds having white and black friends as musicians, we played all kinds of music.
Saw these guys my freshman year in college at my alma mater. They were awesome. Paul Goddard, RIP, cranked out a massive solo bass jam and I was really awakened to the relevance of the bass guitar.
Being from Atlanta, this was such an important part of music from back in the day and they came out in the sun just skyrocketed, great infusion of rock and disco
Great song from my childhood; remember going on road trips with my folks and this song was always on the radio…watching my dad bop his head to the groove
I love, love, love, this song. My southern roots are rocking out now. You never cease to amaze me DJDiscoCat!!!! You take a song and just make it even more fantastic than the original. I see why so many people love your music. You are the number one DJ on youtube as far as I'm concerned. I will always be a fan of your music!!!!
I remember growing up with this group singing its many famous songs on the radio!! It was mostly during my teen years!! Their music made such a wonderful difference in my life!! It is such excellently written & incredibly sung songs!! All of the songs hold such wonderful meaning in them!! All of the songs are so soothing & comforting!! They are the kind of songs that lift you up & take you to a better place!! I love this song so much!! & I love all their songs so much!! It's the finest quality!! You couldn't ask for better!! I greatly miss the days of outstanding music like this!! Today's music is not made great anymore!! Today's music can't even compare to this & all the music of those times!! I'm so proud & so glad that I grew up with music like this!!
I am so into you I can’t think of nothing else I am so into you I can’t think of I can’t think of nothing else Thinking how it’s going to be When ever I get you next to me it’s going to be good don’t you know from your head to your toe Going to love you all over over over and over Me into you - me into you you into me I’m So into you x2 Oh whooo … When you walked into the room There was voodoo in the vibes I was captured by your style But I could not catch your eyes Now I stand here helplessly Hoping you'll get into me … I am so into you I can't think of nothing else I am so into you I can't think of nothing else … Thinking how it's going to be Whenever I get you next to me It's gonna be good, don't you know From your head to your toe Gonna love you all over, over and over Me into you, you into me, me into you … I am so into you … I am so into you, ooh … When you walked into the room There was voodoo in the vibes I was captured by your style But I could not catch your eyes Now I stand here helplessly Hoping you'll get into me … I am so into you I can't get to nothing else I am so into you baby I can't get to nothing else No, no, no, come on baby … I am so into you Love the things you do Listen baby Driving me crazy, ooh … Come on baby, oo-ooh I am so into you Love the things you do Come on baby I am so into you … I am so into you, yeah ✨💐✨
Don't know much about this group, however, when this was released It received extensive play on FM station's here in Chicago and many other area markets. It was a big hit back during those days
First time I heard this song a few years ago and I was taking out a tree with a very good friend of mine and he's teenager years were in the 70s so he played 70s songs and this nice song played and I really liked it.
Starting with Robert Nix on the drums, followed by Paul Goddard’s thundering Rickenbacker bass, with the addition of the guitars of Barry Bailey and J.R. Cobb and the soulful vocals of Ronnie Hammond, you have one of my favorite Southern rock bands getting the DiscoCat treatment and it’s all to the good. The fantastic DJ did it again. He took a great song and made it way even better. I am so into this music.
I definitely remember this song from back in the day playing on the radio..... I never heard the extended version..... Sounds great..... I thought the lyrics was dodo..... I was just a kid back then at the age of 9..... I honestly thought it was a funny song .... I now realize the actual song.... I still think it is a excellent song........... I wonder where they are today............ 45 years is a long time...... How time flies by so quickly............

A great song from the past. Not forgotten! Just one of those that just make ya feel good! It’s like the world is the oyster! Classic! ♥️ It seems to follow me!
Ronnie Hammond the lead singer left music for a time, but then came back to perform. For a time he was a house framer/carpenter in Macon, GA and was well-known for his work. He was shot by a Macon police officer in 1998 during a confrontation but survived and lived several more years. Mr. Goddard, the guitarist with the glasses was once told by a record company executive that he needed to start "dressing like a rock star". As a response, he did what he always did----wore slacks that came straight off the rack at Penney's or Sears. Despite their success, Mr. Hammond was known as a very humble man.
Back in 1977, Toronto local radio station, CFTR 680, had a contest that whoever got through their phone lines, automatically won a record album. My parents and I did this over and over again, and finally I was lucky enough to win. The album, Champagne Jam, was my win. Today, I no longer have my parents, the album and 680 CFTR is all news :(
Good southern rock rite up there with Marshall Tucker & Charlie Daniels & Lynerd Skynerd & ozark mountain daredevils & black oak Arkansas &Elvin Bishop and many more
A REAL GOOD SIGN OF HOW GREAT A SONG IS TO YOU IS WHEN YOU NEVER GET TIRED OF HEARING IT.
I was a 14yr old black kid in 1976 playing bass and loved jamming this song. I had the best of both worlds having white and black friends as musicians, we played all kinds of music.
That's how you bring people together, my friend.

Saw these guys my freshman year in college at my alma mater. They were awesome. Paul Goddard, RIP, cranked out a massive solo bass jam and I was really awakened to the relevance of the bass guitar.

Memories of someone 💜 He bought me this sound 💜
I am so into you
I can’t think of nothing else
I am so into you I can’t think of
I can’t think of nothing else
Thinking how it’s going to be
When ever I get you next to me it’s going to be good don’t you know from your head to your toe
Going to love you all over
over over and over
Me into
you - me into you you into me
I’m
So into you x2
Oh whooo
… When you walked into the room
There was voodoo in the vibes
I was captured by your style
But I could not catch your eyes
Now I stand here helplessly
Hoping you'll get into me
… I am so into you
I can't think of nothing else
I am so into you
I can't think of nothing else
… Thinking how it's going to be
Whenever I get you next to me
It's gonna be good, don't you know
From your head to your toe
Gonna love you all over, over and over
Me into you, you into me, me into you
… I am so into you
… I am so into you, ooh
… When you walked into the room
There was voodoo in the vibes
I was captured by your style
But I could not catch your eyes
Now I stand here helplessly
Hoping you'll get into me
… I am so into you
I can't get to nothing else
I am so into you baby
I can't get to nothing else
No, no, no, come on baby
… I am so into you
Love the things you do
Listen baby
Driving me crazy, ooh
… Come on baby, oo-ooh
I am so into you
Love the things you do
Come on baby
I am so into you
… I am so into you, yeah
