The song goes hard! The bass, the hook, the strings, the piano, the melody, the voice! The musical genius of Barry White! When this song came out Barry changed the funk game!
Great, insightful comment. He was decades ahead of him time. To say he was a musical genius is like saying the Grand Canyon is just a hole in the ground.A vast understatement.
@@cillene9 I echo your sentiment. A lot of people today don't appreciate what GREAT MUSIC is. That's perhaps why it doesn't have more views. Watching this genius produce is what watching da Vinci paint or Hitchcock direct a movie must have felt like. A transcendental experience. A TOTAL genius and the pinnacle of craftsmanship!!
On my watch with Barry…his office was next to me at 20th century fox, I was creative director, this was filmed 16 MM, competing with Elephant parts with Mike Nesmith ( monkees) on MTV. Barry told me I was dropped on my head when I was a child he and I really had the greatest relationship any working partner could ever have because we disagreed on everything yet we respected and loved each other.
Genius of orchestral art. Those strings and horns are of absolute. The highs and lows, then comes the finally of instrumental highs that gets me high with excitement. Barry was of one of a kind. No one could ever do it again.
@ianjackson4157• Barry White and Isaac Hayes are still my heroes of R & B orchestrated background or accompanimental influential music. From films to action movies like Shaft.
@@madmaximilian5783 thank you so very much for your reply. It is very nice to visit with someone who shares in the mutual interest. I truly appreciate the art of music.
When Barry was sat at his piano, singing one of his many hits, millions upon millions of his fans totally got the......"Then you'll feel this bouncy thing" 🎵 If only the genius of this man could have been bottled. A master of orchestral arrangement, a maestro of Funk and Soul and an ABSOLUTE embodiment of sexiness in my opinion. I am SO SO SO GRATEFUL I was alive when Barry was. The world of music and sound was better for this man having been here 🖤🎵🖤
This my favorite Barry White song. It is expert composition and orchestration. Someone was at their best on the mixing board. You could teach a class on main stream music orchestration from this alone.
This is sooooooooooo,................. IDK. So freaking amazing. Thank you so much for your music Mr. White! What's going on? Well, THIS........................
The genius of Barry White displayed v in his own words is magnificent. His appreciation for each layer is evident in his chronicling of the process. The narration, the bass, the cellos, the snare and then the baritone is intoxicating together. This footage is a treasure. ❤
This is so awesome to see thank you very much for uploading this , ecstasy is my favorite song by Barry White and that is saying something cuz I love majority of everything he's ever done , back in the seventies my dad bought the 8-track and I must have played it until it broke
TODAY IN MUSIC HISTORY 45 YEARS AGO TODAY (August 30, 1977): "Barry White Sings for Someone You Love," the 7th album by the "Maestro" himself, was released on this day (#1 Billboard R&B album charts, #8 pop album charts). [08/30/2022]
If you can't get no @$$ off this song 🤣... don't let O.G. fool you wit the smooth singin $hit either... you can tell he was wit the business... look it up 🤣 most rappers today should take his blueprint...
“Brang them cellos in…” CLASSIC!!!
