Severely lacking counter space in the kitchen!!! Deal breaker for us. The Luxe 47FB has a real kitchen for a toyhauler!!! IMHO, the best kitchen out off any toy hauler.
Totally agree on the counter space. We toured this model in Tampa and were not at all impressed with it, not just the kitchen but the unit in general.
We also looked at the Luxe 47FB and we liked it but did not like the kitchen at all. It has more counter space than some toyhaulers but for two of us to be in the kitchen at the same time it was way too cramped with only one entry/exit. We also felt the cabinet space lacking in the kitchen. My better half did not like the setup at all and scratched it off our list, we kind of eliminated Luxe in general because we did not like any of their toyhauler kitchens.
The model we have settled on and are going to buy is a DRV JX450. The kitchen has more counter space on either side of the stove than the Luxe 47 with a lot more cabinet/pantry space which for us will be important as full timers. We like that the kitchen has an island and it will make for two people to be able to get around the kitchen at the same time a lot easier.
@@jbrown8176 That was the other rig on the top of our list! We tried to get them to make the 47FB a peninsula, but they would not budge on that customization request. My wife really wanted that an island, but having a RV is all about compromises.
@@k-mparker They are are. We loved the living space in the 47FB but the kitchen was a deal breaker for us. We looked at the Riverstone 42FSKG as well but after touring it like 10 times in Tampa we learned the kitchen while it looks huge is kind of an illusion. The flow is terrible and there is not a lot of cabinet space for a pantry. We love to cook so space for out kitchen stuff is an absolute must for us. After touring the JX450 we just knew that the Riverstone would not work either. The JX450 seems to tick off all the boxes for us.

@@deniseholbrook991 We looked at one in Tampa back in Jan. Didn't like it at all. Like the Luxe we thought the kitchen was way too cramped nit enough counter space and overall we hated the floor plan. The lack of dining space and the north south bed were big turn offs for us.
Quality wise we did not feel it was up to the standards of a Luxe or DRV. Granted it does not cost as much but we just did not feel like it hold up as well for full time living.
After seeing the small details of a DRV, that is my dream RV. I look forward to the day when I can afford one! 😎

Nice prototype, could use more windows in the back, both sides. Kill the island sink and do an "L" shaped kitchen that would allow a better seating area and allow room for a table. Lighter Interior would be nice also. Look at the Heartland 2018 4115 model.

I think we’re going with a class A because so many 5th wheels seem to ruin their space available with kitchen islands anyway
This isn't my favorite, but they did put a lot of thought into it, so it's in my top 5. Too many put a bigger window leaving room for only a small dresser. Or the bathroom has no storage and barely any sink. They even created a CPAP stand that can be added or removed. Cool.
Asking price?
It's nice,but my momentum 397th has more room and storage and counter space than this one.
I love the 397 with the 2nd full bath. Wish I had one too!
Weight information?
We were looking at a 42ft Luxe toy hauler, but that is just too big and now keeping a Monument in mind.
Nice....But FAR from the best I'll ever see !!! LUXE and DRV come to mind !!!
