We have this exact model that we puchased new in late 2020 as a 2021 model. We have taken several five week long trips in it now as well as numerous one week trips and are very happy with the unit overall. Just like all RV's, it is not perfect and had some issues, like screws falling out of the trim and wheel well fenders (replaced with rivets with aluminum spacer washers inbetween), the solar panel controller failed, both tank drain valve brackets broke (replaced with stronger brackets), dual outlet usb charger stopped working (replaced with four outlet charger) and the master bathroom sink is cheap vinyl covered particle board and completely delaminated within 8 months of purchase and Keystone would not warranty. Lastly, the bed mattresses are garbage and had to be replaced immediately; not too impressive for a $120,000+ RV! However, now that we have the bugs worked out of it we are quite happy with it, and it tows like a dream as long as you have enough truck, and by that I mean a 1 ton dually minimum. We also installed a stacked washer & dryer in the garage, and had the dealer externally vent the dryer through the floor becasue we've had ventless dryers before and they take forever. Plus with a stacked unit we can spend much less time doing laundry and more time having fun. Would have also like to see them come with a power management system like our old diesel pusher had. You learn all these kinds of things when you travel and live in them a lot. We've been RV'ing since 1996 and have owned two class A's, three large truck campers, and three 5th wheels, and have rented a class C, so we know what works with what and the pro's and con's of each.

The Rig is nice...... BUTTTT I have to say I do prefer my Alliance Valor 42V13...... Similar floorplan, but I get a kitchem table, a full size pantry, residential stove/oven and solar from factory. Not solar to charge a battery, but minimum 2 large panels and 2 lithium batteries that will run my center AC. Not a Big Deal unless you want to leave your dogs in your rig, shutoff your truck and actually go inside somewhere to eat. Or pull over at a rest stop, turn AC on, bring dogs in, fix sandwiches, take a couple hour nap..... I have lived without solar & now have that ability..... So Alliance Valor is definitely ky #1 pick.
I Love this floorplan!! my husband and I don't need the side patio just the back patio. You forgot to show the bathroom in the garage. I like the Raptor with the kitchen island and the bar stools. Love your videos!! Thank you Myles!!
We use the side patio way more than the rear patio. It's really nice to have meals out there and/or watch videos. Most RV spaces are not long enough to accommodate the rear patio. The only time we use it is out in the boondocks when dry camping...
Pretty nice looking unit! I have a Seismic 4113, with the side porch. I'd never get another camper without a side patio!!! One thing I have found is that the stairs to the porches are way over rated. I stopped carrying the stairs for my back porch all together. I've been at too many places where the spots are too short to use them, the spot drops off behind the parking area and they don't reach the ground, etc.. I've heard that from lots of others as well. Great selling feature, but not real practical in the real world... Not sure about the tankless water heater being a first, my 2017 came with one. One thing that helps with banging your head on doors is turn your baseball cap around when you're inside! I bang my head every time I forget to do that!!! Another thing that I never use is all the TV's. PRO TIP: Always tie your toys down on the bottom end of the suspension that doesn't move when going down the road. If you tie down to the top side of the bikes, they bounce and create tremendous amounts of force when going over rough spots in the road. I also use Black Widow stands to keep them vertical. We installed a tankless water heater, and I wouldn't go any other way! I love taking hot baths...and we have the full-sized tub so that is a MUST. We never run out of hot water! And we get to select the temp we want!
@@TJ-cq1nu My ‘17 doesn’t have the option for side patio stairs, but it does have the tankless water heater. Love that feature! No more waiting for the water to heat up after the last person took a shower! Also really glad it had the hydraulic disc brakes option!

Love this unit but leaning towards the alliance valor 42v13 because the hitch weight is 600 lbs lighter. Towing with a 2020 ram 3500 srw. I really like both side patio campers tho. I like the layout on the valor it checks off 98% of the boxes.

Miles, thank you for your videos. And trying your best to remember what all the units have and size of things it has. Yes, maybe be more familiar with the units but there are a lot of things on these units and sometimes you just forget. Even though some might not totally like this unit, they can get different ideas about what they like and dislike on several different ones and find one that they could really appreciate. Me and my wife have a check off list of things we really need on a camper and things that we would like to have. That can be a starting point for some people. Come with generator? Size of half bath? Can opt for loveseat & standing dinette? Is residential oven an option? Rather have an EL 360 oe equalivant than a microwave. Storage in stairs?
We love this one for sure. We are selling are house and want to buy this one or something close to it. Is it better to sell house first the purchase or purchase it before we sell? We want to live full time in this toy hauler.
Myles, I watch so many or your vids...this is the one that seems to suit me, but if I order from facory, can i make some changes....like no back halfbath but make sorage go thru? I would use the toy hauler for storage so wouldnt need all those beds or tvs...would i get credit for that? Thanx
This Raptor design is a copy of the Alliance Valor 42V13 with the side patio design. The Valor has many little differences such as L tracks in the garage, a dinette, and a water bay door that lets you stand upright. Just a few things that come to mind but there's so much more. Adzel panels are used for the patio and rear ramp, making them weather resistant. Not sure about Keystone Raptor. The bedroom falls short with no windows next to or above the headboard. I'm sure Keystone will sell these, but not to people that look at the Alliance Valor. We've been using the Valor as the example to compare all others. Haven't found one yet that really compares.
We have looked at the Valors but like the Raptors and Fuzions better. We had a Denali 335RLK and I wish toy hauler manufactures would make a bathroom like the bathroom in the Denali...so much room.
Get rid of half bath, make living area bigger,and move that door to the middle cuz you need the flow when the chair is reclined and get rid of extra door in the other bath
I agree. It’s unfortunate that can’t build slight variations like that. Cause if they made this unit just like that, there would be someone else saying it needs a half bath 😂
Really enjoy the video and the fine detail to information I just wish after the walk through of everything you would filmed a quick walk through at night so we could get an appreciation for the interior lighting because I bet that looks amazing

I'd love to see a video using a PatioEx tent, specifically on a raptor. I'm curious how it all looks/functions and if you can still use the patio awning with it set up.
I'm not too crazy about the patio feature, I think it's cool and all I just think I could do without it. I'd prefer another room than the garage. I'd remove the pantry and that whole TV fireplace spot and make the living room a full rectangle so that the couch can convert to a bed but that's just me.
You can not. It will come with the equipment shown. There’s no telling what they may change at any time though so I’m speaking as of posting this comment.

That looks like a rotoflex pin box and the other suspension you couldn’t remember is equaflex suspension.. never heard of road armor suspension or pin box
Yeah that is a rotoflex. But it was road armour that I was thinking of. The road armour suspension and pin box come on a few different Keystone fifth wheels.
Can you tell me what fifth wheel toy hauler is best for 4 seasons? Was looking at the carbon 398 but not sure if the quality is worth 100k+. Thank you for the videos. It does help.
Great video. Biggest downside to most of the toyhaulers, fifth wheels included, is they will not accommodate a CanAm X3 Max which is 13’6”. The 12’ garage will accommodate the Rzr 4 door which is 12’6”.
They are pretty comparable in every regard other than floor plans and design concept differences. There are a few other slight differences like a Raptor comes standard with a backup camera and Fuzion does not, and Fuzion comes standard with GoodYear Endurance tires, where Raptor does not.
Those tie downs on those Harley's wouldn't have ripped out of the floor if the guy knew how to properly secure his bikes. NEVER strap to a part of the bike that moves (above the shocks). ALWAYS tie down to the lower part of the suspension below the shocks. If the bikes are bouncing over every bump, you'll even eventually destroy the welded-to-the-frame tie downs... Best thing is to get the proper stuff to transport your toys, like some Black Widow stands, so you can tie down and secure bikes properly. If you're moving quads/UTV's/ATV's/Golf Carts, get the tie downs that go over the tires.
If I may say something, it appears that this unit has a pantry? Next to the exit for the side patio. Your videos are awesome, but always call at a pantry when the unit has a pantry. That’s what the ladies would like to know. It might help me be able to buy one of those if you called out the pantry. So if you can confirm whether it has a pantry or not that would be awesome.
Pretty awesome. But I did have one question. Does the back doors open all the way up? Is that as far as they open? Not into toys, but definitely into grilling and custom grills. This would be perfect for tailgating. Best friend and I on the back grilling and drinking beer, while the wives are on the side "gossiping " and having 🍸. There's also a place for my 7 year old to play video games, and space to store outdoor games. Much better; and cheaper than what I had in mind.
It’s nice to have that half bath in the back but it really ruins the floor plan. Every time I walk into these floor plans he seems tight with more than 2 people. Great video.
I wish my kids and I could get into something like this. Sucks living on military disability. We could only get into a 25ft travel trailer. It's junk too.
I’m impressed! This is a VERY functional unit! I know I can/should look it up, but do you know if this is rated for full time use, and the cold weather ratings?
I've had mine down to zero degrees and stayed warm also have had it in 115 degree heat with all 3 ac units running we could keep it high 70's. Adding slide toppers helps a good amount.

If they took the front bath suite from the Raptor 420, the kitchen/L-sofa living area from the Raptor 413, changed the recliner in the slide-out to a table.. name your price and I'd pay it. AND if you could find a way to add the side patio from the Raptor 429?! You would literally have the dream full time living toy hauler. I know people use the garage for more of an office/laundry room now. Almost everyone I know that lives in a toy hauler only has a motorcycle, still plenty of room for that even with one of the benches out. After I graduate trade school I'm thinking about a 5th wheel instead of a home if I can find the ideal floorpan. The ability to go essentially anywhere, with you truck and home, all for $200K..(beach, mountains, national parks, nascar/football tailgates.. plus after 5-6 years you can sell and use as a downpayment for house if you want to.

It’s a half bath that is behind the TV and pantry. If you want one without that space, the raptor 423 does not have a half bath.

Great video. Biggest downside to most of the toyhaulers, fifth wheels included, is they will not accommodate a CanAm X3 Max which is 13’6”. The 12’ garage will accommodate the Rzr 4 door which is 12’6”.

Try airing your tires down. could fit a Polaris ranger 1000 in the back of a 2009 model if we aired tires down.

They are pretty comparable in every regard other than floor plans and design concept differences. There are a few other slight differences like a Raptor comes standard with a backup camera and Fuzion does not, and Fuzion comes standard with GoodYear Endurance tires, where Raptor does not.

Those tie downs on those Harley's wouldn't have ripped out of the floor if the guy knew how to properly secure his bikes. NEVER strap to a part of the bike that moves (above the shocks). ALWAYS tie down to the lower part of the suspension below the shocks. If the bikes are bouncing over every bump, you'll even eventually destroy the welded-to-the-frame tie downs... Best thing is to get the proper stuff to transport your toys, like some Black Widow stands, so you can tie down and secure bikes properly. If you're moving quads/UTV's/ATV's/Golf Carts, get the tie downs that go over the tires.

If I may say something, it appears that this unit has a pantry? Next to the exit for the side patio. Your videos are awesome, but always call at a pantry when the unit has a pantry. That’s what the ladies would like to know. It might help me be able to buy one of those if you called out the pantry. So if you can confirm whether it has a pantry or not that would be awesome.
It is most definitely a pantry that I somehow managed to forget to show or point out.

Pretty awesome. But I did have one question. Does the back doors open all the way up? Is that as far as they open? Not into toys, but definitely into grilling and custom grills. This would be perfect for tailgating. Best friend and I on the back grilling and drinking beer, while the wives are on the side "gossiping " and having 🍸. There's also a place for my 7 year old to play video games, and space to store outdoor games. Much better; and cheaper than what I had in mind.
It’s nice to have that half bath in the back but it really ruins the floor plan. Every time I walk into these floor plans he seems tight with more than 2 people. Great video.

I’m impressed! This is a VERY functional unit! I know I can/should look it up, but do you know if this is rated for full time use, and the cold weather ratings?
I've had mine down to zero degrees and stayed warm also have had it in 115 degree heat with all 3 ac units running we could keep it high 70's. Adding slide toppers helps a good amount.

Only criticism would be it doesn't have a proper dining area to eat. Patios are nice but dependent on good weather.
So with the side patio if a storm came up and you had to put your awnings in, would you have to put your patio up to protect your patio tv?
I think it would be safer to only bring tv out in special gatherings
We bought a cover for the TV and leave the patio out all the time.

If they took the front bath suite from the Raptor 420, the kitchen/L-sofa living area from the Raptor 413, changed the recliner in the slide-out to a table.. name your price and I'd pay it. AND if you could find a way to add the side patio from the Raptor 429?! You would literally have the dream full time living toy hauler. I know people use the garage for more of an office/laundry room now. Almost everyone I know that lives in a toy hauler only has a motorcycle, still plenty of room for that even with one of the benches out. After I graduate trade school I'm thinking about a 5th wheel instead of a home if I can find the ideal floorpan. The ability to go essentially anywhere, with you truck and home, all for $200K..(beach, mountains, national parks, nascar/football tailgates.. plus after 5-6 years you can sell and use as a downpayment for house if you want to.
