The QUICKEST Way To Build A Job Board In Webflow (Full Tutorial)

- Today I am going to show you how you can build a no-code job board in less than 25 minutes! We will do this by using three of my favorite no-code tools: Webflow, AirTable, and Zapier.

One of the most popular micro-SaaS businesses to build is a niched down job board targeting a specific industry. There are numerous success stories of people building their own job boards using no-code tools and then charging its users a monthly subscription fee in order to post and apply to open jobs. The only problem is that it can be difficult to figure out how to build one of these jobs boards from scratch and how to decide which no-code tools to use.
In today's video I will walk you through the fastest way to set up the basic infrastructure of a no-code job board. We will be building our front end in Webflow, using AirTable to house our data, and utilizing Zapier to link the two together! We will also be building out a job submission form for employers to submit their open roles and creating search and filter functionality for our live job list.
This video will be a bit technical, but, by the time you reach the end, you will understand how to structure your CMS collections to include single-reference fields, integrate your CMS fields into AirTable databases, create linked and lookup fields in AirTable, build an AirTable form to capture new jobs, create an AirTable automation that allows for a submitted jobs triage list, use Zapier to link AirTable and Webflow (including your Webflow single-reference fields), and use Attributes to create search and filter functionality on your live site. Hey man, this is the most easily comprehensible video on this topic that I've yet encountered (and I've been looking into them for some time now), you have a great talent for passing down knowledge. I also looked some other videos of yours (about Webflow) they are also cool, so honestly only confusing thing about this channel is channel's name :) Maybe you'd want to consider rebranding, because I honestly thought this channel will be about beating social anxiety for teenagers or something like that, and was surprised with value and unrelated topic of actual videos.

Nicely done. I would like to see how you could add in authentication to your board. For example, before an employer submits a job using your form, the employer needs to either create an account or they need to authenticate if they've already created an account.
A really useful video thank you - Would you/could you use Zapier to fire off an email to the person/s who set up the job posting to let them know someone has then applied? Could you also do something similar for the applicant to let them know their application has been received?
Great video mate! I'm having a problem. CMS collection only allows 10K items right? Is that mean we can't add more than total of 10K postings?

Hi Alex, great video! I wanted to know if it is possible to build a job portal website in webflow? Candidates can sign up, log in, create their profile, upload their resume in the backend. And they can also search for jobs. Employers can sign up, log in, post jobs and search for candidates. Is this something that can be built within webflow? Can I use Memberstack for the authentication and Airtable for the database storage to achieve this?

I'm running into an issue with Zapier though. When I set up the webflow action to use Job Type lookup ID and test it, i get an error
"Failed to create an item in Webflow
The app returned "ValidationError: Validation Failure"."
I double checked that the lookup id does in fact exist. Has anyone else encountered this issue? When I pass this field as empty, the test runs successfully
Thanks! Sorry for the late input (making this comment in 2024) but Ive been thinking about using Bubble instead but what are the benefits of using it this way? Is it cheeper? What has changed in the last 2 years since the video was made - i.e. is it done the same way? And also can you integrate Stripe into it so customers could pay for publishing ads? Thanks

When I add new items to the CMS even with correct reference ids, the filters don't work

Hi is anyone else getting this error when connecting webflow with zappier ' Failed to create an item in Webflow
Required field "Name" (name) is missing. Required field "slug" (slug) is missing. Required field "Archived" (_archived) is missing. Required field "Draft" (_draft) is missing'
why is the slug error message not an issue for you in this video?
How much it would cost someone use those?
If your job board gets popular aren't you quickly going to run into the max number of CMS items in WebFlow and AirTable? It seems you'll have to bump up to expensive enterprise plans pretty quickly.

I found a problem where the search bars only work for the current pagination. Like for example, if you have 1000 jobs, and your current pagination only shows 10, then you can't search for the 11th job and onward...It simply will not show you.
This was solved by using Finsweet's infinite pagination attribute!
