The funniest gag bit (outside of the Stateroom scene) in the movie is, "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" and baseball interrupting the opera! "Peanuts, peanuts...!" --Groucho

If it remarkable that while the Brother could destroy a written script with their own impromptu humor, MGM could find writers capable of sustaining them with a full out story. They had one other decent film with MGM, but their work at Paramount in the early days stands high above everything else.

The whole scene is hilarious, Groucho speech, then the sword fight with the bows, oh middle School days in music; "don't give up the cavalry is coming, "lol, then the beginning overture leads into take me out the the ballgame to the surprise random astonishment of the audience... The whole montage is ridiculously chistoso, funny lol.

There’s nothing better in these movies than an off-the-cuff, semi-coherent, and occasionally lewd Groucho speech. He always exudes a sort of desperate confidence, and he manages to make his way through the whole thing.

in 1979 the good old BBC showed a series of Marx brother's films including A night at the Opera and this a true story the final film was another classic A Day at the Races and guess what happened they got the reel mixed up with no digital then the final was at the very end of that film and it was shown Twice the scene in the bathroom where the brothers came in with the Horse it was as I said twice a thought I was seeing double and I was many people what was going on when the film finished the announcer admitted we truly are sorry if only the brothers were watching from above we had eggs on our faces

And now, on with the opera!
    Let joy be unconfined!
Let there be dancing in the streets, drinking in the saloons, and necking in the parlor!
    Play Don…
His mother was a well known bass singer.
And his father was the first man to stuff spaghetti with bicarbonate of soda, thus causing and curing indigestion at the same time.
The most outrageous and wonderful absurdist writing. Just completely out of nowhere and absolutely hysterical.
