Dude, you saved me big time! I have been trying things for days and no luck, until I found your video. This was exactly my issue. i can't thank you enough!!!!
It never hurts to disconnect the battery when doing anything electrical, kind of a fail safe step incase of short. The computers in any vehicle are very volt sensitive. And always costly to repair
I have 02 with 2.2 ecotech my car randomly dies and then it just cranks but no start I already replace the ignition switch and still doing the same thing, any ideas. No anti-theft light when it dies..
My computer does not give any code, the cobalt ecotec 2.2 car turns on and dies within seconds. It is not fuel pressure, change the throttle body, air filter, fuel filter, injectors, coil and the fault continues. Do you think the module can work for a moment and after a while cut the power and turn off the car?
So you need to see if you have signal going to your ignition module, you will have to have someone try to start it while you check the signal while it is plugged in to the control module. You can do this by stabing t pins in you connector from the backside, then simply hook it to a test light. I got a sneaky suspension that it is that connector, they have had issues with them pigtails going to the ignition module

Thanks! I doubt I would have noticed that if not for your video. I happened to watch it prior to replacing a faulty one in my friend's car.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Praise God for this video. My car runs again!
Thanks for that info.

Did u have to reprogram this? If so how?
No. No programming necessary
Thank u. One last question do I need to disconnect the battery before I do this?
