The fact that you only used a minute of the video getting the car back to stock really shows how much work was put into the GT3 kit. Because I remember the entire rebuild, it definitely was a ton of content and took some time to get done.
What makes this build so special is that instead of just putting a kit on (like a lot of people do) they went the extra mile to make sure all of the creature comforts and electronics from the OEM body still functioned properly. THAT is likely what caught the buyers attention. It's one thing to find a GT3 kit car, its another to find one with all of the working components without losing the drivability. well done
In the original rebuild from the he didn't want to repaint the car because the grey hood and replacement front fenders didn't match the white of the rest of the car. He wrapped it red because he knew that he didn't want to repaint the car until he got the GT3 kit so he just used the wrap to drive it around for 7 months as a regular 458.

I think B is for build does some pretty good work but I think that Lamborghini is atrocious and that shifter is so far back you could never bang gears he would lose every race just because the way he has to shift it not to mention the different colors on the car now don't get me wrong if the car was one solid color it would probably look beautiful but as it sits now I think it is hideous I'm all for saving the stick shifts and I like the concept but I think it needed more R&D

To protect the paint is usually why people wrap supercars, in this case tho im not sure.
