@@555._nxs Budgies always thought you're also a budgie, so you only need to repeat a sentence many times and they will try to mimic it. You can start from easy words like hello or goodbye
@@555._nxs You have to repeat the same phrases early and often. Also, females rarely talk but sometimes they will. The males can be real chatterboxes. My little 3 month old Charlie is starting to talk. He's my third budgie and the only one to pick up talking. My first one I didn't get until he was already 6 months old, and my second is a female. So I really think the biggest factor is starting when very young.
They're simply doing what they would do in the wild, mimicking their flock's vocalizations. That way, they recognize each others' calls. If they consider you part of their "flock" then they will try to mimic you.

THE BIRD EATING WITH THE DOGS THOUGH
Th bird is used to it, she even just walks around with them in the house.
Jannely B the dog on the left clearly doesn’t feel comfortable with the bird close to it’s food. You see him turn around his bowl to be «away » from the bird and keep an eye on it. That’s ressource protection. If the bird came closer it could have led to the dog attacking the bird or showing more obvious signs of discomfort.
Maybe the bird and the dogs are fine around the house but clearly not so much around food.

Our budgie tried to mate with my brother’s hand, we were so lost as to what he was doing till it flew off and left a present. Till this day we still laugh.

I had a parakeet named Ozzy when I was a young teenager, her and I bonded she became my best friend followed me everywhere, one day she got very sick I remember staying up all night looking after her. She passed away that morning. Broke my heart. People don’t realize that birds can be your best friend
i’m sorry one time my teal bird was being mean to the other bird so my mom had to get it in to the net and put her hand on the top of the net and the cage was on the porch and my mom had to get it so she had to let go of the net i think but it flew away 1:36

My eleven budgies do all of the above from playing with toys, running like chickens, climbing everywhere that looks like place to do so to doing craziness upside down. They always find new ways to play too. My two male cockatiels just act as the spectators. 😂

@@Allantitan one time mine got into a huge jug of seeds and she realized she couldnt get out, and i couldnt fit my hand in there, so i used the cage ladder and put it in there, her first instinct was to hold on and i pulled her out, sadly the ladder has beem torn to pieces by her

Budgies are such beautiful birds... I have a couple living with me for a few days now. Only sign of individual character so far was the female throwing a tantrum and spilling all the seeds from one feeder after I was late for their daily time out of the cage for flying. Just like dogs. I love them so much already and it's only been like 15 days with them. :)
Earlier in school today, the school broadcast was on, and a part of the "Daily douse of internet" which is just wacky things that got recorded, we saw a video of a parakeet running around the house talking about someone named Jenny, a hairdryer, and bed rats, whatever those are. I teared up due to the fact I was laughing so hard. Hence why I looked this up.
Those were mistranslated subtitles, the original video it's talking about football but it's still hilarious, you should look it up because the uploader has a lot of other videos of that parakeet doing weird things including "I need to go in there but someone's in there" while standing outside of a bathroom 😂
I love budgies! Such energetic, smart, funny and friendly little things. Such an underrated and overlooked pet. If I'm being honest, I'm THEIR pet, but hey... semantics.
It reminds me of my cute budgie doing some of these funny things too. His name was Sunny, and he passed away just days before Christmas 2019. It makes me tear up again remembering him. so cute. Thanks for making and posting this video.
