I use Gcam to force use the 3X zoom and it's always locked on the 3X zoom by default.

Biggest disadvantage of S20 FE in 2022 is software support from samsung. It is listed to get just Android 13 and one more year of security patch. After that no software support. Ofcourse if anyone plans to change device after 2 years than its fine.
Yea it's an old device after all. But I don't care about long term software support when the overall price to performance is so good. Like the raw value of the device.
It'll still get security updates till 2024 October.
On top of that Knox works 24x7.

Need a DEX/Ready for device as daily driver for coming few years. Won't have a pc/laptop. So will have to depend on smartphone for productivity works. I have a device running for a year now, so I didn't change it in the sale but the thing is IF WERE TO CHOOSE between SAMSUNG S20 FE 5G and S21 FE 5G in the next Dushera sale (assuming there is no S22 FE with Snapdragton or not), I'll choose S20 FE 5G, Performance wise it will be still best for me, plus it'll have the ability to have Videos or Pdfs in the micro SD and have lotta free storage on Mobile's Internal storage to keep the device running smooth. To practically summarize the difference between both S20 and S21 FE editions is 19-20, or 17-20 at max. The microSD slot is the X factor. Plus FREE charger, I've checked videos doing the charging test, the difference between 15W and 25W is around 20 minutes, that's it.

I think you haven't watched my Gcam mod video. Both S20 FE 5G and S21 FE 5G don't use actual 3x lens in lower light scenes or even in random scenes which results in bad quality.
But on Snapdragon S20 FE 5G you can install Gcam and force use 3x zoom for both photos and video giving much better results than stock.
