As someone (a Christian) who grew up in different cities in Southern and Central Mindanao, I want to say "thank you" Kulas/Kyle for showing netizens out there that a huge majority of Mindanaoans are peace-loving, "normal" Filipinos. I grew up harmoniously living side-by-side with our Muslim neighbors, classmates, family friends. I'm saddened when people (Filipinos or otherwise) who have never set foot on Mindanao give blanket statements about perceived dangers of travelling, visiting or living in Mindanao. So thank you for your vlog series on your memorable and heartwarming road trip in this part of our country!
same as a pilipino (muslim) who born and grew up in mindanao, i always felt that luzon people seem to see muslim people as terrorist, they always argue that we don't want peace. That's why I felt only those non-muslim who lived in mindanao who understands us😢. I kinda feel sad everytime im in manila ang people look at me like i'll do something wrong to them.
Nagpangalay na in mga Tausug ini. Hahaha. Thank you kulas for having Tausug content in your channel. I'm very happy about this. Mag sukur KULAS. love from Tausug in Basilan.
Kyle I’m 😭 emotional and tears fallen down when you said (u felt emotional)while listening Gamar that he and the community will protect You …so true .,that kind of words that comes from the heart ❤️. Unplanned yet a remarkable meeting between the two of You . You make me ( us ) familiarize our ( Filipino) dishes , culture , fellowmen from the southern part of the Philippines 🇵🇭. Awesome !! Keep safe and may God protect you all throughout your travels .
Gamar is really a cool guy.😎 He is so nice to inform you more about Mindanao traditional (tribal-Tausug) foods, local culture and traditions. Kulas (Kyle), you are truly a "Becoming Pilipino" ambassador. Your encounter with Gamar is somewhat meant to happen. "Everything happens for a reason". It just shows that thru the person of someone--like Gamar--you are truly blessed meeting nice and kind people.🤗💕
Proud of Kah Gams he really intertain Kulas and introduce him to our tradition ❤️ welcome to Zamboanga City kulas. Hope you really enjoy our food and delicacies.
I felt the genuine warmth of how people accept you here in our country. I actually got emotional seeing how they appreciate kulas and what you do. Power on kulas. Your efforts will become your legacy
I'm originally from Zamboanga City (born and grew up) now residing in California , U.S.A. thank you for taking us to my home town. BTW I'm one of subscribers since 2017.
Beautiful words spoken by that guy, and so lovely that the Muslim community is quietly looking out for you and protecting you on your travels. Just lovely...

You are truly a blessings to all Filipino's by your sincerity and Kind Heart. Mabuhay ka and stay safe always from a Filipino in Ontario Canada.
This was very interesting. Too bad you had rain most of the day but you stopped at some good places. The people there seem very friendly and nice that you learned some things at your second food stop. The food looked really good although I have never heard of burnt coconut soup it would be something I would be interesting in trying.
I'm so emotional too Kulas while watching not emotional for negative things but in a positive way because your willingness to become a Filipino nice chat chat and eating with the Filipino delicacies. God Bless You Always and I pray for your safety in your travel. Shoutout from Jeff ETC TV.

Kyle, you're okey. You really blend with the locals there! You have shown sincerity and friendship with anyone you meet from the different sectors of the community. You really enjoy traveling and getting to know first hand the Filipinos there. Thanks man. See you someday.
Kulas, I'm really enjoying your trip to the western side of Mindanao. My wife and I met in Calamba in 1981 and were married in Oroquoieta City. I'm hoping you are heading that direction on this trip. I have not been back since although my wife has made several trips back to her home. We've been following you for quite some time and even though we're much older than you we certainly relate to many of your experiences.

The happiness of most Filipinos is so cheap. It's worth a piece of good music. Poketo only. Kulas, I said b4, bring big cellophane as a raincoat. Magka sakit ka iiyak si Therine. Happy trip !!!
Salam! Kapatid sa mga sinabi mo please look after our foreign friends gusto ko din maka rating diyan sa lugar niyo last time nakarating sa Zamboanga ay noong 1977 apprentice ako sa PNOC. Peace brother!
I've always love your vlog, I've been watching your vlog for a while, what I love about you is that you have fully immersed yourself in our cultures, filipino ways, loving our people, respecting our tradition and also introducing , the different parts and regions of the Philippines and at the sametime not afraid to explore the off the beaten path and the people with it From the bottom of my heart Maraming salamat po for loving my people ❤️
You know Kulas we are Filipinos living in one country. But most of the time, we become tourist in our own country. Because of the diversity of our culture, dialects in each regions, islands and tribes when we go to different places in our country we find ourselves learning to discover more about each other like we came from, another country. With more than 7,000 islands each with different things to offer, it will take us a lifetime to explore our own country.
Aha! Now both youand KD are in Zamboanga but in different interesting places. Thank you for touring me through your vlogs. Great foreign guys like you should be awarded.
THANK YOU KULAS for SHOWING MINDANAO to the WORLD its amazing TRULY you are AMBASSADOR to Mindanaoan the only person proving our PILIPINO MUSLIMS brothers are hospitable very friendly & protective to visitors. Good luck & GOD bless MINDANAO soon to be TOURIST DESTINATION.
Salamat Kulas for sharing this. My Philippines in the south is beautiful not just because of nature but most of all because of it people who has been maligned for the longest time.
I would always try to be as positive as you kulas and i say to myself " That will never happen to him... not to kulas" but i admit from time to time the little bit of negativity slips through and i just think of the worst case which is also a side of people as well, there cannot be good without bad after all, but in my heart of hearts i know even when that worst situation even becomes an actual plan in someones head there would always be that someone else who would say "No... not him", like a guardian angel that's looking out. be of great cheer brother as you have sown seeds that reflect your actions of trust and compassion, now bears fruit in the peoples heart and they will show you kindness in turn.
Hey Kulas almost 1mil! Congrats in advanced. Come on kababayans let’s share and subcribe to this Channel. Let’s not just protect him let’s also support him. He’s more Pilipino than some of us. Sad to say. Thank you Kulas for supporting a lot of our communities. Thank you for all the positivity. Always making me smile. Ingat lagi. Power on!

Zamboanga city is the 3rd largest city in terms of land area.. You can fit two whole NCR inside zamboanga city and it'll still have room to spare, and it has only 1 mayor.
As I've said before, you're more Filipino than most residents of this country. Your journey actually brings us Filipinos closer together. It reminds us that we have neighbors in far flung places. Thank you. Always ingat on your adventures.
It's going to take a while for the country to establish a national identity. They may share the same DNA, but they're still strangers after being thrown together during the Spanish and American colonial period.
