My advice is to stop calling everyone "inspiring" 😑 coz they are already from a well doing families! There are many people in India who cannot dream of any extra-curricular activities besides academics and still doing great in life! I have seen people from very rural backgrounds working hard 24/7 to get into great companies! For me that is inspiring !

Loved this interview - congrats to Ananya! 100% agree with 4:25 - the mock exams are the best way to prepare for the SAT or ACT, because after awhile, you're able to see the patterns in the types of questions that are asked! The earlier you get your testing done too, the more time you'll have during your senior year to focus on writing great essays!

So the thing is I'm from Kashmir, as everyone knows situation of Kashmiri students isn't good and we basically don't go to school for a long time due to unrest, how are we supposed to have extra curriculars. We aren't as blessed as students from rest of India Though there is a girl from Kashmir who got 100% scholarship at university of Pennsylvania. Idk how she got in but I don't think she had volunteered anywhere as that system just isn't in kashmir. We don't even get continual internet. It's just not fair I guess Try finding and interviewing her.. Please

Pl also check abt The International School, Bangalore (TISB), whose IB results are the world's best, ahead of schools from Europe, South-East Asia etc. In 2017, only Indian student to enter MIT was from there.(See link above). The student in the article and her sibling from the same School happen to have made into the MIT. Can you pl try and interview the both siblings?

The real problem with mediocre universities is that they dont give scholarships to international students. Those who go there are either quite rich or take loans which mostly people cant afford.
