The voyage seems to defy physics to me. There's a break run on the way back that sometimes brings the train to a near complete stop, but then you go down a couple of very small drops into a tunnel and seem to have all of your speed back.
Thats because the elevation of the topography on the first half of the ride is going uphill. After the MCBR you are traveling downhill back to the station even though it feels like your somewhat level. Will Koch mentioned it in an interview i heard before he passed away. Really cool illusion.
I used to go here when I was younger as a kid but haven't been in 5 or 6 years. The rides are great for both the main park and the water park. Great to take your family for all ages.
if anyone ever considers a more than one day trip, camp rudolf is just next door and even has a shuttle bus to take you to holiday world, plus discounted tickets (im pretty sure) in their camp store. the campground offers tent sites, rv sites, and cabins. has its own pool and two body water slides that is super fun. the whole area is great, i love it
I've been there 2 times and if your gonna stay multi day there are a ton of hotels near by and also there's a really nice trailer park literally across the parking lot with a shuttle bus to the gates of the park. It's called camp Rudolf.
I remember when I was a kid and I would visit my family in Evansville we would go there. My favorite part was part was the log ride and the wave pool. I hope to go there when I visit my family next year!
I love Holiday World. I went there once and it this year and for 2 days. We spent the first day in the water park, and the first little part of the second day on roller foasters, and then the rest of the day at the water park again lol. The food there is really good. I think I rode The Voyage around 10 times lol. Nice video dude.
I love Holiday world! It's my home amusement park! Although I haven't been in years (I don't think I've been since Pilgrims Plunge closed.) When a new ride is announced everybody holds their breath in excitement. And its a sign that Summer is here when I start to see the commercials on TV each year. It has the best water park in the country and its really everything this video says. It's well worth visiting scenic no where just to go.
Holiday World used to be my home park, and what a great one to have so close. Great rides, fantastic water park, affordable, and incredibly friendly atmosphere. And unlimited free soda! I moved before Thunderbird was added so I never got the chance to give that one ago. It's surreal to see HW with an actual steel coaster, but it fits in well. If you're in the area, definitely give it a visit. It's gotta be one of the most charming parks out there.
I’ve been goi g here for 7 years and I love it and it isn’t even my home park I’ve been going here before people really know about voyage and this is one of my favorites
The comment I made to family when I last went was that HW was about 3 to 4 major rides from being a two day park. Granted, I did go on labor day Saturday, so it had high visitor traffic. But I still stand by that when you are there with a family of four.
I've been going to this park ever year for my whole life and I'm 15. So I gotta say this has probably is the most family friendly park I've ever been. This park is probably one of the cleanest parks as well. Also I love holiday world mainly for splashin safari. Splashin safari is the greatest in terms of rides and safety. I've been on every single water ride and they were all fun except for watu bee. The mammoth was my favorite. The dry rides are alright. I get a little sick on some of them but all the coasters are fun. This park is probably my favorite park in my opinion. Holiday world is definitely a place I'd like to take my kids in the future if I have kids. I'm going again with my family again in june
I'm in love with Holiday World!!!! I only live 45 minutes away from there. Holiday world probably doesn't have the room for it but I would love to see more stuff in the Christmas area. I have been saying that Holiday World needs to get a Christmas themed roller coaster. Something like a B&M Hyper Coaster. I can tell you right now Holiday World has AMAZING food!!!!!! (Sorry this is going a long comment) My favorite ride there is Voyage, but I also like The Legend and Thunderbird! Raven not so much.
When I went on the thunderbird for the first time I was young and really scared and an employee talked to me and calmed me down and they even said right before they would check with me specifically before starting it. The employee really helped calm me down and I’m glad he did cuz now I love roller coasters and if he didn’t talk to me it probably wouldn’t like roller coasters
i live about 2 hours or so from Holiday World and Kings Island so both r my home parks but when i went Legend was closed and Thunderbird was in Constitution
I spent two days here with my husband. While some of the water rides were awesome, wait times were ridiculous. Staff would not fill rafts to capacity before launching and several of the rides were constantly having mechanical issues. This place used to be great but not anymore. Oh and restaurants all close 2 hours before the park closes which is stupid unless you want to eat way up near the entrance of the park.
This is my home park/place of employment! Wonderful atmosphere and wonderful place to spend my time street drumming for anyone! Come back and try the food! The pizza is amazing!
just got back from carowinds at the ACE event, im telling you, it was rainey, but riding fury and after burn was intense at nigh or in the dark, also the carolina cobra has a orange ish pinkish with purple supports.
I live 30 mins from Holiday World. We used to go every weekend. Sometimes just for pizza and Ice cream. My Dad used to go to it back in the day when it was called SantaClauseLand
Have You Stayed In Santas Lodge It's Awesome It Needs A Little Updating But It's The Closest To Holiday World And Its Also Christmas Themed And Includes A Lovely Restaurant. It Has A Climbing Wall And Stuff Outside 4 Out Of 5 Stars
They do a very good job with food. Over the years the food prices have gone up, but that has to be due to costs increasing. I went a couple of weeks ago and I really didn't have any complaints about the food.
Would love to visit this one in the fall since the BER season consists of all the major holidays as shown in this park. Wouldn’t mind celebrating Christmas in July going there!! I wonder if this park opens on Christmas Day
One of the few parks in the country that has consistently good coasters across the board. May not have many, but for only having 4 major coasters, they are surprisingly hard to rank or pick favorites from. The Raven is action-packed and hard hitting, The Legend (now that it’s been renovated) is one of the best terrain coasters out there, the Thunderbird is just plain fun, and of course the Voyage is one of the most epic coasters on Earth. They could definitely use some more flat thrills and maybe another coaster (I want to say an RMC, as HW has always been known for their woodies and it would be a cool modern update to their classic specialty, but that might take away from their “hometown” feel. A very welcoming and enjoyable park. With another coaster and/or some more thrills, it could totally be a Top 5 or Top 3 contender.
The first time I rode the thunderbird when I was 10 I was terrified so the employee was so nice to me telling me he has to ride it everyday and after you ride it it will be awesome and they let me have it where when they checked the passengers right before it started if I gave a thumbs down they would let me off. I’m glad I rode it.
I can't seem to find any message boards about Holiday World so I thought I would post my question here... I'm thinking about visiting Holiday World on Saturday August 19th but I will only have about 4 or 5 hours to spend at the park. It says there is a Christian Rock festival that day, so does anyone know if it will be really busy and thus not worth going to on that day? I'd like to ride the 4 main coasters at least 3 times each...
I am purposely waiting for them to add a new attraction or land (they should add one themed to Easter) where Pilgrims Plunge and Hyena Falls used to sit before going and I am hoping they do it soon because I am dying to go there.
I am one of those people who hate body slides, Kings Island is my home park and I went once in 2018, I despise the water park at KI. The food is also great
You know it's rare to have one world class wooden roller coaster, but Holiday World boasts 3? That's insane... I wonder if Holiday World ever pondered an Intamin pre-fab (El Toro) and a RMC ground up topper track (Outlaw run). That would give them 5! They would then become the undisputed Wooden Roller Coaster Capital of the Universe! One could dream right?
I went their for like 5 days and I went on almost everything and my favorite my favorite water ride is the mammoth and roller coaster ride is the thunderbird
It's a full day park without the water park if you ride each coaster five times.
You actually look like an employee at holiday world
I been there 5 times already like if you went there too
Silver Hotstreak or ride raven once Legend twice Thunderbird 3 times and Voyage the other 14
I went there 7 times
Ive went since i was 2
Iv’e been here been here for 11 summers straight.
Is there decent hotels?
The voyage seems to defy physics to me. There's a break run on the way back that sometimes brings the train to a near complete stop, but then you go down a couple of very small drops into a tunnel and seem to have all of your speed back.
TheMasterfulcreator there’s breaks, there’s boosters
Thats because the elevation of the topography on the first half of the ride is going uphill. After the MCBR you are traveling downhill back to the station even though it feels like your somewhat level. Will Koch mentioned it in an interview i heard before he passed away. Really cool illusion.

Voyage is my all-time favorite coaster! All the other coasters were great, too, which makes the coaster lineup solid!
The surrounding area is awesome as well
I live 45 minuets south of it, it is definitely a must do if you are driving through southern Indiana for no reason at all lol
you live in evansville, cuz i do
Spectacular park. It was my momentary home park when I lived in Bloomington, IN (about a 2 HR drive). You hit the nail on the head with this review.
This park is absolutely amazing. It's clean, the staff are very nice, and the rides are fantastic.
I've been there 2 times and if your gonna stay multi day there are a ton of hotels near by and also there's a really nice trailer park literally across the parking lot with a shuttle bus to the gates of the park. It's called camp Rudolf.
if you go back there be sure to eat at the Plymouth Rock Cafe it's delicious.
I eat there every time I go :) (it's my home park)
landonr323 yes
Yes yes yes
I remember when I was a kid and I would visit my family in Evansville we would go there. My favorite part was part was the log ride and the wave pool. I hope to go there when I visit my family next year!
The food is amazing, I’ve been here tons of times. They have a decent selection, with nice restaurants and just small food stops.
I love Holiday World. I went there once and it this year and for 2 days. the food is top notch. my favs is the bbq, turkey bowl & Alamo borrito
I went to holiday world 2 years ago and definitely loved it. The next time I have a chance to go back, I will!
I love Holiday world! It's my home amusement park! Although I haven't been in years (I don't think I've been since Pilgrims Plunge closed.) This is one of my 3 “hometown” parks I go to at least once a year. I love it there!!!
In the 4th of July section, there's a place called The Alamo which makes the best burritos!
My home park!!! So awesome!
I've been going there every summer since I was little and I love it.
Same
I’ve been goi g here for 7 years and I love it and it isn’t even my home park I’ve been going here before people really know about voyage and this is one of my favorites

I'm DYING for a frisbee here. This is my home park, and I love Delirium at KI, so I'd love to have one closer to home!
I agree this is my home park too but I have not been able to go to KI
Add the camping at camp Rudolph makes a great weekend . rental cabins next to legend awesome.
I go here every year and I love it
My home park #blessed

What's wrong with the watubee?

Sfne has a great theme wave pool.its themed to the ocean near a New England fishing village
I've been there many times and always loved it
I’ve been to holiday world at least 20 times! I love it

glad to have this in my home state
I love this place! I went there this summer, and have been there multiple times before that.
ive not been there recently but I live in Indiana. its cool to see a review of this place.
My favorite park in the whole world!
3 minutes away from the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial.... where he grew up.
Best park ever!!
I live 30 mins from Holiday World. We used to go every weekend. Sometimes just for pizza and Ice cream. My Dad used to go to it back in the day when it was called SantaClauseLand
They need to add body slides to the water park, something like a trapdoor slide complex.
Going to be there this Saturday. Really looking forward to it!
Reminds me of lake Compounce.... Free soda and an awesome woodie
And a modern orange launched coaster with a slow roll.
Bart H Lake Compounce has free soda
Silly Memer unfortunately, not anymore.
Thanks for the review I will probably go there sometime soon or next year so this was nice.
Been to Cedar Point, Carowinds , Great Adventure, Kentucky Kingdom, Kings Dominion, Kings Island, and Beach Bend, but this park defenitely stands out.
I did not stay there, but it sounds nice!
Coaster Studios Thanks For Responding!
Lake compounce has free drinks as well
Boulder Dash and free soda sounds heavenly.
+yugioh guy yup. and relatively cheap food too
CoastersNGames Sounds really good.
CoastersNGames Have you been there.
yugioh guy yeah I went last month
Home Park!!!! Love it!!!!
They do a very good job with food. Over the years the food prices have gone up, but that has to be due to costs increasing. I went a couple of weeks ago and I really didn't have any complaints about the food.
we go a few times a year and the food is really good
Been twice I’m 3 hours away from holiday world. I’m going my third time this year in a month. I’ve only done legend and raven and a few other rides.
Would love to visit this one in the fall since the BER season consists of all the major holidays as shown in this park. Wouldn’t mind celebrating Christmas in July going there!!
I wonder if this park opens on Christmas Day
I use to Work there it was so fun after we clock out & we can put on our plain clothes & food and play games & buy
They originally had a ride that sadly got torn down in 2009 called pilgrims plunge it was the worlds tallest water ride
The food is fantastic. It feels like they bring in real chefs...
From experience, I can say that the food is amazing!
One of the few parks in the country that has consistently good coasters across the board. I have family in Indiana so holiday world was basically my home park
The first time I rode the thunderbird when I was 10 I was terrified so the employee was so nice to me telling me he has to ride it everyday and after you ride it it will be awesome and they let me have it where when they checked the passengers right before it started if I gave a thumbs down they would let me off. I agree for a whole day you should go to the water park but I'd be fine with just the dry park
I love this place so much that I’m moving down there 😂
Such good memories working here 💕😊
We actually live in Indiana and we are going tomorrow, and thanks for he feedback
They should add a Chance Rides G-XT 100 Coaster
love this park
I've bent there two times when I was 12 and I went there a week both times
typhoon lagoon has the best wave pool. their waves are bigger than the ocean xD
Holiday World is my big home park and it's pretty cool, but why can't we have something a bit bigger here in Indiana?
Taylor im going to cedar point on Tuesday and im riding millennium force for the first time!

This is my home park. It's food is da best!
What Park has more potential Holiday world or Kentucky Kingdom. There Arch Rivals but What park has a better future?
KK just started so they want to get more people so they will probably get big stuff every year
Holiday world bc they have very good coasters
I live near Nashville and am choosing between holiday world and Dollywood. They're about the same drive, which one should I go to?
I can't seem to find any message boards about Holiday World so I thought I would post my question here... when will the six flags magic mountain review come out?
I agree I think he should do a SFMM review!!
I think he is going in order of the parks he went to, so not for a while
Try the chicken tenders when you go to holiday world! Also Wednesday’s are the last busiest days!
I went there yesterday
I go every year, and I'm going tomorrow!!!
I go every year it's so fun
You know it's rare to have one world class wooden roller coaster, but Holiday World boasts 3? That's insane... Tom L They should rmc legend once it gets old and rough.
@@coastercrazy8587 i think raven would be the RMC, being older and having the front gate first drop
How are the hotels?
It's better then kings island. The waterpark is amazing and I lov the rides
I went their for like 5 days and I went on almost everything and my favorite my favorite water ride is the mammoth and roller coaster ride is the thunderbird
FYI.. The food is great. Kingle's Pizza and the Thanksgiving Cafe are both amazing!
Glad HW is my home park
