Beadlocks and less pressure!!! Try like 12-15psi
I have bead sealant on works great, need to play with Suspension
What trans is in these trucks? I know in my whipple hellcat I launch in 2nd because first is completely useless. Mine is on a 295-65-15 street R and it is a battle to get traction but the car is also making over 1320 wheel. As you make
More power traction is always frustrating on these heavy vehicles. Have you tried after doing your burnout roll through the beams get some glue on the tires and then back back up? We were fighting with Mine went to the strip every weekend for almost 2 months straight and only got a couple passes where it hooked.
Also the only time I can get traction is early in the morning first couple cars down or late at night when the track is cool once it’s mid day and sun on the track it goes to shit and gets slimy and the car just won’t hook so I’d try a night test session if you can! Good luck bro! I’m sure you’ll get it eventually!
(More power = more problems) 🤟🤟🤟🤟
Also slicks vs radials if they both hook the slick will be slower than the radial personally at a track I always try to make it work on a radial 🤟🤟🤟🤟👍👍👍👍
From what I've seen you probably ain't heating them tires up enough
Three definitely hot enough it's all in my suspension
Time for some Vikings!
Gonna get the double adjustable qa1s
@@IncredibleHemi1111 for me it's a toss up , I will say I think Vikings are a better shock over the long hall.
Bro, you are where I was for a few weeks. Dialing in the suspension. Kong can 100% run a 10, the numbers show it. Once you get the suspension figured out, like we talked about, you'll have many a 10 second time slips to show for it. Hang in there. You'll get it!
Thanx buddy , I know it's got the power for it easily. Hopefully at atco this week I can tweak the suspension to get it to hook
It’s supposed to be fun. Quit getting so upset about it. A bad day at the track is better than a good day at work. Put a radial on and it will bite better.
I'm upset cuz I can barely hook when I go n Put a lot of money into this build
Try some different burnouts. I had excellent hook after i found the right burnout for the tires. 1.68 60ft on a 4370lb vehicle. Hoosier QTP 28x14.5(11.75 Tread) on 17s.
I'm gonna try that plus some Suspension tweaks
Is it the track? (Cecil) what's the best kept track out there in USA? You might have to travel to the best track!🛻
No not the track I'm heavy with a lot power so gotta work on my suspension
@@IncredibleHemi1111 oh..🤔💯
Nick, Have Jay pull some timing out of it at the cross over between Part Time Spark and WOT , or bring TPS trigger for WOT table up a few points....your hitting the tires too hard.
I was thinking that, i sent Jay the log this morning
Sorry for the traction struggles. I was a few cars behind you at cecil on your first run and have to say 1) that exhaust system is friggin bad ass and 2) when you launch it is just a violent and awesome site to behold. Hope you get the suspension sorted soon. Truck sounds pissed that she cant hook brother!
Thanx man, hopefully a couple Suspension tweaks does the trick
Do you have caltracs installed?
It's a 4th gen, they don't use Leaf springs
@@rickgehring7507 4th, 3rd,,2nd gen spinning ain't winning is all I'm saying.
@@nicknisiscosta5154 I get it, my 10.90s NA 04 ram with GM Application single leaf and cal tracs runs 1.49-1.51 60 FT ,
have you tried Beadlocks? Your tires showed wrinkled on launch so it might be spinning on the rim and even a slight amount will blow the tires off. Consider a taller and wider tire for your next set.
These are wider than my 315/60/15 mickeys, were making more power so need some Suspension adjustments
Get some front wheels the same height as the rear and do a 4×4 launch, that would solve all your traction problems. The silverados stock 4×4 holds well over 1,500 hp.
That will be an option if I can get it to hook in 2wd
Something isn’t right. Crew cab guys with less CI and power are running better times. Address the suspension and maybe a little less burnout. Tires too hot will cause traction issues as well.
I have no traction that's wasn't not right, they don't hit anywhere near as hard as I do off the line , more boost , n lighter than me being 2wd without a 150 pound Whipple n there running e85/race gas/ meth injection.
Me thinks its time to build up the T-case via Trackhawk and drag radials up front. 4 wheel launch get that beast in the 10's
Already looked into it, the company that will be building my trans can build my t-casr as well
You need to load the converter and move weights. Compression on the right rear shock needs to be stiffer.
Yea I know i def need some Suspension tweaks
Sorry bro I have a feeling I’m gonna be in same boat once I get the nitrous going on this new engine ,
I didn’t realized you didn’t have dbl adjustable QA1s that could be the ticket . I know you got the right tires …
It may be an adjustment in tune because you can’t control your launch power like you can with a nitrous controller. If I’m not mistaken for you on a whipple it’s all go nothing that you can fix yourself .
You’ll get there bro !!!
Just a thought if you take the truck and stall it Tuesday you think that might pull a little timing away where you might not spin ?
I know I lose a little power on the hit if I try to stall mine
Thanx man , yea need double adjustables I have single adjustable there great , but need an upgrade with my new power level. N yea I thought about stalling it up n trying to see if that helps
I love your perseverance! Keep at it! Could the torque converter be to loose now for the Whipple? Just a thought.
