Love the truck brother, I have a 2014 1500 2 door that im wanting to do 10s in. These videos give me hella inspiration. Thank you. 👊
Thank you. Good luck getting in the 10s brother anything I possible with traction lol
I left a comment on your video or 2 before this one at the track but I also launch it like I said in second gear and I just barely put my foot on the throttle just to take that shock or drive line slack out of it so like maybe 1,000-1,100 rpm and it seems to take the hit a lot better then when I go straight off idle and smack it 🤟🤟👍👍
Yea I just read it. I tried that n I wasn't expecting it lol so it was a wasted run, might try it again if these coilovers don't help
I think that first gear is killing you on your takeoff. If there would be a way to tune your trans to takeoff in second gear, you would avoid spinning as much and wouldn’t have to fight for traction as bad.
It's actually hooking n unloading the front then spinning, just need to keep the rear tires planted with better suspension
Cool can’t wait till you get it dialed in and get in the 10s !
500 pounds of sandbags lol
Maybe tub it out ?
My brother!!! You need some weight back there!! It’s not hooking up because there’s nothing pushing down! That rear end suspension needs to be super soft to absorb the power and press down or you gotta add some weight. Or you could always add some rubber too…. Keep on it!!! You will get it!!!
Dude so close. You’re gonna get it. Maybe go full weight or add weight in back and maybe stiffen the front end. I don’t know just seems like maybe doing nothing you’re basically there but I know you probably want it consistent as would I. Sweet build man keep up the content
Thanx bro , right now I have no front suspension adjusting just the rear. It definitely needs needs front suspension adjustment which we will fix soon
You’re where I was at the beginning of the year, constantly spinning. Mack, taking a quick look told me it was suspension. Once we fixed that it was hook and book. I think you need something in the front to slow the front from coming back down so fast. 😉 You’ll get it figured out before you know it. 💪
That's exactly what I need between double adjustables in the rear n coilovers up front well be golden
Lower the psi that helps me
Its my suspension tire pressure was perfect
Hopefully you get someone to go with you on your next track day who can help you dial it in. Might also try some bracket racing or something else where it's about the car you line up with just as much as the time.
Yea I like bracket racing but wanna be able to put the power down b4 I Challenge other vehicles
Pull the air filter or make a track intake
Absolutely buddy , already part of my plan
QA1 Dual Adjustable shocks for the rears and set your rear tires at 18psi to start
Qa1 double adjustable are next on the list
Sand bags in the back of my el Camino always helped me hook.
Not a bad idea
What shops do you recommend in NJ that do headers, cams and tuning? Thank you
My buddy can do the headers and cam, I am tuned email via Greene racing
@@IncredibleHemi1111 thanks how can I contact your buddy?

That's his email
Hey brother just keep at it ! Install a go-pro under get a shot off what the suspencion is doing when you take off. Maybe use pimp juice for the burn out instead of water thats what we use down her florida
Hmm not a bad idea , I got some more suspension work
I'll keep watching, waiting for the day, I enjoy your trials to success
Thank u, well get this thing to hook n book soon
Keep at it. That truck sounds killer.
Thanx man
So I have a 2021 Ram 1500 Quad cab and I’m looking at getting some long tube headers installed on it. I contacted the place that I’ve had all of my accessories on my truck added (pretty much everything except for the All-Terrain tires) and they said they couldn’t put long tubes on it because of the catalytic converters, even though most of the long tube header kits come with catalytic converters. Guess it’s time I look for other places to get it done at.
Yea thats stupid , they should have done it especially since all the kits come with cats
@@IncredibleHemi1111 That’s what just about everybody on a 5th Generation Ram 1500s page I’m apart of said. I could understand if it didn’t come with cats, but I’m wanting to get one with cats just to keep it legal.
Just out of curiosity, what brand of long tube headers do you have on your truck?
My trusted exhaust shop stopped installing headers a few years ago. I did my own. Wasn’t bad except the dipstick (4wd) and 2 broken manifold bolts. If you do LT’s chances are the high flow cats are going to throw downstream CEL’s. My advice, get a custom tune
@@IncredibleHemi1111 Good news. I found a place less than half an hour from where I live that’ll install long tube headers. I was debating on whether to do that or get shorty headers and from the way it sounds shorty headers have the tendency to leak. So I figured screw it and decided to go with long tube headers. Luckily I don’t live in one of those states that does yearly emissions testing.
