Welcome to my home state. I grew up near Glenwood Springs and have taken the Amtrak train from Denver to Glenwood many times. One of my favorite ways to get to one of my favorite places!❤
These are my favorite kind of videos. The scenery is so beautiful and I know that it is spectacular when you are traveling through it. Can't wait for the next one.
We did this trip from Vancouver to Banff. It was a similar experience. We understand that the IS version started during COVID when the borders were closed and many of their American customers couldn’t cross the border. So they moved the train south. In Canada they also offer GOLDLEAF service but it doesn’t work in the US because of the tunnels - double decker cars are too tall. We felt the SILVERLEAF worked great for us. We loved it. (Your car looked empty.)
What a neat way to travel! You guys are truly inspiring. My husband and I no longer netflix and chill, we EECC and chill. We have our first cruise booked June 2025, and i can just tell this is only the beginning of many adventures for us! We absolutely love your videos and seeing all the beautiful places yall travel. Yall be safe ❤
@EECCTravels We took the same route from Denver to LA a few years back. Every part of the drive is so unique and memorable. Glenwood Canyon by train is bucket list for sure!
Thank you for this wonderfully done video. This may sound funny, but your ride shows that Colorado has even more stunning scenery that I think people realize.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ so happy so happy so happy to see you too back together again you guys are the best couple that does this and I can tell you my three year-old baby granddaughter absolutely loves watching the Alaska series and she loves Alyssa. She loves her voice because she such a calm, she’s always smiling and Arabella just connected with Lisa when she was like four months old Jason glad you got some rest and it’s just not the same without you. You are a team. I’m glad to see that everything has worked out. My heart goes out to you for making a decision that you had to make but no that we are behind you a thousand percent because you put self aside and did the right thing for the puppy❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🙏🏼🙏🏼😍🙏🏾👑👑👑👑👑❤️🥰🥰😍
Another home run video! Gotta add a train trip to my bucketlist....leave the driving to others for sure! Thanks for taking us along. Glad to see you branching out to different means of travel. Love the RV life, as you know, we are fulltimers for 10+ years, cruising as always, but this is definitely something new to explore! Thanks again.
I rode in the old Rio Grande Zephyr along that same route from Denver to SLC back in December of 1978. Awesome. Back in the days when there were actual dining cars.
Next time, you should go to Hotel Colorado while in Glenwood Springs… one of the most historic hotels in Colorado (built in 1893) with a diverse history and notorious for being one of the most haunted places in America. It sits just above the hot springs. Very cool.
*A little over 20 years ago the Silver Lining to our car being wrecked 1700 mi from home was I was able to arrange to travel in an Amtrak sleeper berthing compartment. I would travel everywhere that way if I could afford it... & if I had the time. As expensive as flying, as slow as driving, but super comfortable and the food was delicious.* 😻
Wow what a wonderful trip! Fun fact Doc Holiday was born in my neighboring town of Griffin Georgia! We actually have a festival in his name every year! Also cool shows like the walking dead, vampire diaries, stranger things and more have been filmed within an hour or so of this little town!
Just found your channel ❤ My husband and I live in Greeley CO (north of Denver) and we never knew about this train trip!! Definitely on our bucket list!! We have been to Glenwood and enjoyed it as well. I’m excited to catch your past videos and your new ones as well. You’re a great couple. ❤
Welcome to the Rockies! Don't over do it in the elevation! Some people find it hard to breathe! It's worth it, though, for the beauty that surrounds you!
Oh my gosh, that's hilarious! We went to Big Nose Kate's grave a few months back, and I still need to edit that video. My husband and I can't stop laughing about the sandal situation. You totally get us - I'm always in sandals, too! He is always saying where's your hiking boots.
Wauw what an awesome Train trip the Views are Incredible 😍 yes i can imagine the Autumn colour changes of the Trees will be beyond Beautiful 😍 . Thank you for taking us a long on your Journey 🥰 safe travels
My grandson and I did the inaugural run. There were some hiccups, but would still recommend this trip. The food and staff on the train were excellent. Looks like your trip went well.
Great video! We spent a week this year in Moab going to different National and State Parks and it is the best small town! Can’t wait to see what you end up doing there.
We looked at the Rocky Mountaineer few days ago.. so cool you did a video on it.. for us it was so expensive.. we looked at doing the one from Vancouver
Great video! You want hot springs, check out the natural one in Saratoga Wyoming. That one is very hot. Also there are really hot ones in Thermopolis Wyoming.
I love trains, so I had to check these out.. Wow, that is quite an expensive trip. I honestly just don't get it. I guess that could also be why it seemed like the train wasn't very full either.. Great video and looked like a great time, but, just wow..
Totally enjoyed this!! I've never been out west, thus trip has been added to my bucket list. Thank you guys ! Alyssa you look fabulous, keep working that diet !
If there are wildfire and you have a good nose, you can smell it on top of the haze. My husband has that nose, mine is middle of the road but can usually tell.
Absolutely loved this. I live down in Colorado Springs and didn't even know this existed. I'm definitely putting this on my to-do list. All of your videos are amazing, no matter what content you show! I'm here for it all. I've watched the trimmer for travel since it started, and I can't wait to catch Jason's coming when it starts. Whether it's land or sea, keep posting and being you. Please put more content on tiktok!!
There are a lot of old cemeteries with old graves built on mountain tops in Colorado. Nothing better than to be in the hot springs pool when it’s snowing, the worst part is when you get out and have to get your feet buried in it 😂 us Denverites go to Glenwood Springs for staycation
It is an amazing trip in the comfort of a train. We forget that it was all done with ox trains of families looking for a better life long ago and what it cost in lives and despair. They had real guts.
I’d love to travel by train and it is beautiful. You see things you can’t see on the highway. Obviously, their prices are way too high. That is why there are so few people on the train. Lower the prices and fill the trains!
I love the fact the train is not crowded!! Keep the prices where they are. Plus, the gourmet food adds to the price a lot. One of the reasons I would take this train. First class! My family had to travel a lot by train when I was little. It was fun for me as a little kid, but got pretty annoying with screaming babies, etc. As a senior now, this high end trip would be worth the $$ for me.
I’ve enjoyed your video, but before you called out your wife for hiking in flip flops, I was screaming about the same thing! I’m from Colorado and I love Glenwood Springs!
A lot of cemeteries are on top of hills in Colorado. They would take a wagon up to bury the dead. There is a small one above my cabin on the mountain where I live. Amazing feat getting a coffin up that hill.
The actual "birthplace" of the Colorado River is in Rocky Mountain National Park, which is some distance to the northeast of where you are in this video when you speak about the "headwaters" of the Colorado.
@@EECCTravels Thank you for that explanation. I figured you were on a travel industry trip thus the empty train car. Wish it was more like that normally LOL
What a great trip. Definitely adding to my bucket list. Are the hotel accommodations and hot springs included with the train ride or do you have to book separately?
$1,500.00 pp for the train trip, then you pay to fly home. I'll drive. But for those who can afford it, cheers. I'm a Colorado pioneer. It's a great trip if you want to get out and explore more, which we have done.
They mentioned the cost of this two-day trip right? Currently a price tag of a minimum of $1,700 per person. For a 4-5 hour drive from Denver. No way would I pay for that.
Add this trip to your bucket list!!! Contact me to book a trip at travel@eecctravels.com or click here: www.rockymountaineer.com/
@@EECCTravels Thank you so much!
This is a Fantastic vacation!!!
Was this out of pocket or sponsored?
I’m a Colorado native of 54 years and never knew this existed 😳. Thanks for enlightening me
You are so welcome!

Glenwood Springs is where, 36 yrs ago, we spent our honeymoon. It has changed so much!!
I rode in the old Rio Grande Zephyr along that same route from Denver to SLC back in December of 1978. Awesome. Back in the days when there were actual dining cars.
Thanks for this video. My sister and I are doing this trip next week - can't wait.
Hope you enjoy it!

Will do!!
That was an incredible looking train ride! ❤❤
This trip has been bucket list for me. From Moab to Colorado, and back again. I'd also want to take one of their northern routes through Canada.
You will not be disappointed. It’s a truly unforgettable experience.
Thank you so much for this video, it gives us such a good idea of the journey…hope to take it ❤

I agree, that’s outrageous
$5k per person
This comment is incorrect the cost is over $5,000
How beautiful and Miss u are looking fantastic❤❤❤
Not many passengers that day, was this a special travel agent trip or not peak season? I've seen other videos where the train was packed!!!

Wow! Absolutely breathtaking! What months were you on this trip?
September
So Cool!!
