Holy cow! The live-version is almost as good as the recorded version (that's rare)! I actually prefer to listen to this version over the recorded one at times.
Your gonna be glad you did cause they are fucking awesome,I saw them in hollywood at the house of blues and was very glad that my buddies girlfriend backed out and he called me with a ticket.
@bluestarpy haha that's because they have to be. They were formed before all this new technology crap that alter peoples voices and what not... Even before radio (Sarcasm). They are old
Sigh...do you realize that wikipedia articles have citations and links to sources of information that can be checked? The excerpt from Wikipedia I posted here has a citation....the source is an interview with Greg Gaffin in 1993 posted on a different site (which can't be edited) and this verifies the accuracy and authenticity of said excerpt.
@420SonicX ... dude wtf... the song isnt about Sonic.... its about Supersonic speed.... -.- only because it has sonic in the name of the music doesnt mean nothing.......
@JerryL237 If not, then it wouldn't be out of place, especially since Sonic Team seem desperate to have guitars in their music these days and the ones used so far sound crappy. This as an intro music would be awesome!
Well, according to Wikipedia: "Despite the name of the band, the members do not consider themselves antitheist. Singer Greg Graffin states that more often than not, the band prefers to use religion as a metaphor for anything that doesn't allow for an individual's freedom to think or express themselves as they choose. In this way, their songs are more about anti-conformity than anti-religion.
How come everyone keeps asking if this is a Christian band? NO! Bad Religion is about as Christian as Slayer is. As far as I know most of the band members are Atheist. I mean the band logo is a cross in a circle with a line through it which represents not their contempt for just Christianity but for ALL religions in general. Just listen to the song "I want to conquer the world." That pretty much sums it up.
@Fike2308. Shit you're right. I stand corrected. I guess its more about being against the idea of organized religion. Who knows? Bad Religion fucking kicks ass either way!
Hes pretty good actually. no one brings it up and im sure the majority dont know who he is cuz UCLA kids can be lame like that. there are a few that i guess know who he is just because they dress like theyre like this kind of music. but then again i dont, & i love bad religion so...he doesnt mention it either, the most hes said is that before becoming a professor he was "in entertainment". what an understatement!
hes kinda weird. i think hed probably not even say anything or make fun of me. hes all business in class but i heard hes cool about talking about music and fans outside of class, so maybe ill work up the courage to bring it up.
You need to put a capital letter after exclamation points (fucking), and "its" should be spelled "it's" because it means "it is" and not designating an object. And you know, people would be less offensive and defensive if more than half the commentors on youtube weren't so offensive and defensive for small matters such as spelling.
I remember seeing them when I was 17 back in 2000 in L.A....freakin awesome!!! One of the best bands ever!!
going to see them in SD at the House of Blues tomorrow night!
Holy cow! The live-version is almost as good as the recorded version (that's rare)! I actually prefer to listen to this version over the recorded one at times.
"How does it feel to be outstripped by the pace of cultural change?" Best aging punk line ever.
Now i'll show you!!
that and they have been rocking foreverrrr.
This song would rock as background music on a level in a sonic game!
He talks about it after... but rarely. i have him in class as well, hes dope.
They should play this song more often live

i love this band
There's no punk band out there that'll ever be as great as Bad Religion
I love how there are about a dozen sonic the hedgehog videos that use this song.
bad religion and nofx tour again this year .. i wish i could go to a concert of them
@nightmareb4cf He's actually a professor at UCLA, search for him on ratemyprofessors
Beginning kinda reminds me of "Ace of Spades '08" by Motörhead
Your gonna be glad you did cause they are fucking awesome,I saw them in hollywood at the house of blues and was very glad that my buddies girlfriend backed out and he called me with a ticket.

Sigh...do you realize that wikipedia articles have citations and links to sources of information that can be checked?

Bad Religion has a good song of Sonic
Qualquer música do Bad Religion é boa!!!!!!!!!! (3)
Qualquer música do Bad Religion é boa!!!!!!!!!! (2)
why everyone is using that song on sonic videos...I wonder if that song is for Sonic ?
It doesn't fucking matter, punk isn't acoustic perfection, it's the exact opposite. Acoustic imperfection, it's art.
This is amazing, live or studio.
@lookatmeanimator Well, Brett was the one gave the Offspring their start
@420SonicX ... dude wtf... the song isnt about Sonic.... its about Supersonic speed.... -.- only because it has sonic in the name of the music doesnt mean nothing.......

@JerryL237 not really
No people just added this excellent song to the Sonic CD intro. This song wasn't even written yet when that game came out :P
lol...I love that game!!
SUPER SONIC!!! WOOT!
sorry, i followed a link to this... from a sonic the hedgehog video ;D
i love this song... XD
@JerryL237 If not, then it wouldn't be out of place, especially since Sonic Team seem desperate to have guitars in their music these days and the ones used so far sound crappy. This as an intro music would be awesome!
yeah, it may not be BASED on Sonic but it does go well with Sonic and the song is cool.
this isn't in fact, for the Sonic the hedgehog series
(i love irony ^^)
@nightmareb4cf
You do know he is a college professor?
Well, according to Wikipedia:
"Despite the name of the band, the members do not consider themselves antitheist. dis is a wikid song i luv it
Is he a Sonic the Hedgehog fan? Cause this song would really work for Sonic's super form.
lol thats cool. I'd be sick to have him as a teacher. You should mess with him one day and wear a bad religion t shirt to class :P
Yeah, but I think the singer joined the band in his teens....they've been around for a while my friend.
@Fike2308. Shit you're right. I stand corrected. I guess its more about being against the idea of organized religion. Who knows? Bad Religion fucking kicks ass either way!

Listen to the background singer 0:52 ^^
Lol at the chorus on the first "oh-oh-oh". They've got to have a horrible hangover, or something.
Hell yeah! They were sold out and I had to get a ticket off craigslist...
It was in a sonic game and I knew they had nothing to do with sonic
true, he stands still, and just needs a little more amping up!
I would kill to be able to take a class form him...
best sonic song when on drugs
@WowlxX Greg would be proud.
@critic2o5 and a bit like peter north lol!
@Pogokid150 got that right
I love this song, but I hate the fact that I can't sing at the speed of the first lines, is soooo fast for me :P

@Rafasantos12 WTF lol hahahahaha no problemen I know than is about sonic but the what mattersis the song is very well
An incredible song about super sonic and it isn't even related to sonic.

Could be because hes a proffessor.
they weren't inspiried by BR. Sure they liked them but they didn't play punk rock exclusively and they weren't political at all

Are you serious?
WTF THOSE HUGGING PEOPLE 0:10

If you think punk sucks then what the hell are you doing watching a BR video?
Because this is RUclips and people are insane.
The sound does but the lyrics sure don't lol.
