My day truly opened in a very special way today, opening with one of my all-time favourite 'word painting fest' Lenten hymns 'Forty Days and Forty Nights', what with Satan Vexing Sore simply crying out and begging for the 'le choix de Trevor' treatment. Oh how I wish and pray, yes, pray, that music as beautiful as this, sung and accompanied with such true feeling, was the 'norm' in our churches here in the USA. Tear-jerking hymns, hymns of great joy, hope, reverence - yes, Be Still for Presence of the Lord is Here (with its beautifully written descant). All of you guys and gals are unbelievably talented ... this should be made into a CD and sold commercially (a BiS label?). Thank you, each and every one of you for making my day, and making me gush like this .... can't help it! Sorry! This video will be revisited by me over and over again during the season of Lent.
I've never heard 'How deep the father's love for us' sung so perfectly by a choir. Every hymn is sung beautifully but how deep the father's love for us was simply the best I've ever heard. :)
