As an Eagles fan whose team has been dealing with two freakin’ years of endless injuries I can understand the frustration. Every damn week another starter goes down. It is so fucking demoralizing. But trying to force players to play through injuries is fruitless. They won’t be anywhere near 100% and could just aggravate the injury or even worse, end their careers. This is yet another reason why Dan Snyder should be forced by the NFL to sell his team. He is unfit to own a team. His greed and incompetence have destroyed a once proud and respected franchise. He should be shamed of himself.
Matt King it is horrid, the redskins have a brutal medical staff and are always one of the most injured teams and that is one of the things that makes the difference between winning and losing
Loved watching this guy growing up as a Jets fan. All I wanted was a 83 jersey. When he was in the game I felt like he could make something happen when you least expected. If we kept Coles and him, things would've been different.

Seriously though: As a parent, former player at a high level, and current coach; know that this stuff may work for you for one game but not only are you hurting yourself more in the long run by masking the pain but don’t even get me started on the side effects of pain killers (addiction, lowering testosterone in males, etc).
He did what he had to do for a game. If he had to do it for every game then it would have been a problem and that’s what some people can’t discern between.

I love football and it used to be my dream to play professionally. Like many that dream didn't come true but I've always stood by the sport and the guys who got the chance to play it as a career. So I definitely support the players but I also understand ethics despite what profession one may choose. I don't advise players to put their bodies at a higher risk than it already is. It seems to have worked out for him but for many it doesn't, especially at the college stage. I wish pro athletes would have more respect for themselves and not let their employers take advantage over their bodies. Players are getting seriously injured and getting addicted to prescription drugs. You can play the sport and love it and have fun without all the pain. I never in my life thought I would be saying that flag football may be the next greatest thing. Damn, I love the physicality of football but it comes with so much damage.
