- On 11/01/22 on troon way leicester UK. BMW 1 series woman driver try to squeeze from left only lane into ahead only lane but messed up with unmarked police ford galaxy. What a nice feeling that was.
I can never understand why people do this.
It’s a roundabout ffs. Just go round again
But we need to remember.....not everybody has brains.
just go round(about) 😂😂😂
I think it's because of excessive focusing on whats ahead, rather than whats around you. The number of (UK) drivers ignorant to their surroundings at the moment is astionishing.
It's a BMW, say no more.
Also...sat navs.....looking it it on a roundabout can be confusing.....I blame them for the huge upsurge in very late lane changes...ect ect.@@ianjordan1215
I always hold back a bit in these sorts of situations. That being said, that driver did force their way in quite aggressively.
If you miss your exit, go around again.
The copper didn't handle it very well he should have waited a bit before stopping him. Nearly caused a shunt himself!
No they didn’t at all……..the unmarked car nearly caused an incident by being cocky & speeding up ……totally unacceptable
Unless you are on the Paris ringroad !
The unmarked car was in the correct lane and did nothing wrong. The BMW driver was in a lane that meant they intended to take the third exit on the roundabout.
Even if you indicate to change lanes, you have to yield to vehicles already in that lane. Meaning, just because you indicated doesn't mean you CAN change lane. You have to wait until it is safe to do so, which the BMW driver did not do. They could have simply and safely gone around the roundabout again which would have taken all of 5 seconds.
@@jerrywallop5647 But the BMW was the one who caused the incident in the first place.
I think the issue the police had was the BMW driver actually used the indicator!🤣
If a BMW is seen indicating then it's probably nicked.
@@simona6229 Good point...you are probably right...
The BMW Driver was in the wrong lane to start off with
@@hawkwarrior5066 And that’s unusual?🤣
😂
At least he used his indicator? Let’s not expect too much now!
Finally!! The right time and right place…
The wrong guy though
I dont see the problem? Just a BMW doing a normal BMW thing, the police should be more understanding.
🤣🤣🤣
Aren’t idiot drivers exactly that? I’ve seen them in everything from a Kia to a Ferrari and I’ve driven for 50 years doing a considerable mileage.
Don't taint everybody with the same brush , it's a bit childish.

It was a BMW, the police pulled him over to inform him that as he drives a BMW, the use of the indicator is not required!"
What was that amber light flashing on the BMW. I've never seen that before, is it a new thing?
Must have had it fitted as a novelty 😂
@@stephenbrierley5957 😂
Rumour has it that Audi and Merc are holding back to see if it's really necessary or can they stop installing them.
Range Rovers have never had them, ever.
Reminds me of the digital signs placed over major roads here that says different PSAs, one of which was "Missed your exit? Don't worry, we built more up ahead."
Nice, but most of the entitled idiots on the road will ignore that advice. That's assuming they can even read.
But she was a Beemer driver. Surely you know by now that they aren't subject to the same rules and regulations as the rest of us mortals? She was just demonstrating her superior driving skills, and the police should savour the display and acknowledge that they were in awe of them.
They were pulled up because they used their indicactor thus contravening BMW rules of the road.
@brightphart Sound more jealous in your Honda Jazz.
Everyone sometimes misses their exit .i did it yesterday .I just went back around roundabout and exited again. No need to cut anyone up.
Yeah, and let's all ignore just how close the police car was tailgating the car in front...
I agree far too close.
If the unmarked police car had been tailgating then the BMW wouldn't have been able to push in as there would be no gap
@@bradfordzone5187 There was less than a car length between them. You can see at 0:12 that the back wheels of the BMW overlap the front wheels of the police car. If there was a gap, the police car wouldn't have had to steer out of the way to avoid a collision.
@@bradfordzone5187nah mate, they were right up its arse. 2 seconds gap in dry conditions, so the piggies were in the wrong too.
Whenever someone is driving too close behind me, it's always the Police or some boy racer! Either makes new nervous so I just let them pass.
Hi all
So, the people saying was not police in unmarked car. See the other video with longer version, they were two vehicles in convoy, Police transit van on front and Galaxy following. As soon the Galaxy pulled the beemer driver you can clearly see the transit start turning around with its blues on.
Also you guys can clearly see the blue lights on galaxy at right side window(rear) at 00:41.
Thanks
I thought that was a risky stop with a tipper lorry being so close behind!
I wonder if there was more too this than meets the eye - there seems to be a certain amount of intent with the way the unmarked unit positions itself and the marked unit was quite quick in reacting, even if they were in convoy, if it was a random decision to pull the BMW.
Only a police officer in uniform can stop a vehicle.
Someone in a 1-series performing a stunt like that? Surely not
I can't believe that was a copper he must have been lost. I didn't think we had any left in the Midlands.
Do you know why I pulled you over? You have a funny flashing light on the back of your bmw.
That police officer was no saint in this clip. Looked to be driving quite close to the Merc in front and certainly had enough time to hold off and let the BMW in if he really wanted to and looked like he put his foot down at the last second. And to then pull over where he did, would have been safer just 50 yards further up.
Yep, just criticise the police officer. Clearly this is all down to him.
@@chips8388 As someone who should know better and sets a precedence for driving. Yes, I’ll criticise the police officer.
@@callumfriend2523 Quite right, he could have dropped back to assist the drive who realised they were in the wrong lane - at least the car was indicating their intention. It was a 50/50 blame scenario but the copper was an arse for following the Merc too closely and deliberately closing the gap the other car was requesting.
I was going to comment likewise. So He/She took the wrong lane, it happens. However they were indicating that they wanted in and the police driver could have let them but instead closed the gap. That said the BMW should not have cut in.
@@VickersDoorter True. And that looks like an awfully short merging lane, too.
The police could have let him in, drivers make mistakes.... And then they park up like that
Liecester , and a BMW , enough said

@@pvhawks Thank you
How are you, friend? Can I use your clip in my video for Educational Purpose with credit and link? Also how do you want me to express your reactions on the video.
No problem mate
Yes, bad driver. But the lousiest driving was by the police. We all saw the BMW indicating his intent, and the police driver - instead of defensive driving when he had plenty of time to do - tried to assert himself.
The BMW driver was in the wrong lane on the roundabout, indicating to try and get in is no excuse and just crap driving, I hope a ticket was issued or another driving test to be taken 😠
@@KRAM-zb2vc Yes - that much is obvious. But even when someone does something stupid, you are obliged to take avoiding action ASAP. Especially if you are a police driver who has taken training courses which *specifically cover defensive driving*.
Hi mate! Is it okay to use it please ? Credited of course. Also where did happen exactly ? Thanks in advance.
No problem mate
@@pvhawks Thank you so much!
The police should have stopped the errant car further along the road . He was placing other road users in a poor position by making them overtake over the cross-hatching , thus committing an offence !
Many years ago I was stopped on the Zig Zag lines of a pedestrian crossing . When I pointed this out he was not amused , but we agreed to pull in to the next side road 50 yards up the road .
I agree it wasn't the best place to stop; it's not an offence to enter the cross hatching if it's bordered by broken white lines though.
@oldbootneck but it's not ideal , i.e., it's dangerous or the cross hatching would be there .
@@johnniethepom7545 I agreed that it wasn't ideal, it isn't an offence though. It's potentially dangerous and you can enter it so long as the border lines are broken. Let's just agree that it was a stupid place to do a traffic stop.
Police can be a pain once their ego is bruised. I got pulled over once and the numpty wanted me to stop on a dual carriageway in an underpass 😮 WTF.
So I kept on going until out of the underpass and there was a safe area to pull up.
He was absolutely livid, said I was trying to escape, what a twat.
Dont think cops know the rights and wrongs of road use. Just boys and girls in a uniform
Not a very clever place to stop the other car by the police officer!
copper should have anticipated that!!!
Watching this I thought police car drives equally as bad as beemer
I didn't see any blue lights?.
Hello P V Hawks ! Can I use your video in my video plus comments to help people learn lessons so they can drive safer? I'll put your name on the screen, thank you for reading.
This happens so much and jumping reds if I’m first at traffic lights especially on a four way with blind spots I take my time to move forward
Howzat for bad timing?
Why is it the w@ nker is always a bmw or Audi driver ?
From now on people, observe when driving and you see these tossers, note the vehicle !
0:33, bit early in the day for festivities isn't it officer?
Karma in action right there.
We dont see that enough in everyday life.
That's not a Police Class 1 driver driving like that. Nothing defensive about that driving.
Everything about that driving was correct. The fact you'd rather slow down (to let BMW in) and stick in the lorry's blindspot for the merge-in-turn speaks volumes about your credibility on talking about driving skills.
@@Perseus7567 want to talk about my credibility with driving skills? Ok here goes. Three million incident free miles over 36 years, licences to drive every type of vehicle on uk roads, including trucks. Driven in countless countries including passing driving tests to drive every type of vehicle in Australia, driven left hand drives, liquid tankers where the weight shifts, powder tankers, curtain sodeloaders, double deckers, licensed to drive more plant than I can recall, passed two IAM driving tests including one recently. Done off road driving courses, licensed to drive hackney carriage vehicles, driven more.makes of car than I care to remember as a car valetor, driven Ferarr, Lamborghini's, other supercargo. So.i know all about blind spots. If you're suggesting the unmarked car should not have avoided the collision then YOU need to question your own driving. The trucker (a professional driver) should have been aware the cars were there, and his lane was going off anyway. He had no reason to move. The cop car could have held back further but certainly not got in a position to have to brake to avoid a collision. I can't wait to read your experience and qualifications
@@dangerousdavecox Driving various large vehicles doesn't make you a good driver. I can guarantee you haven't driven in the same way and at the same speed police drivers do when responding to incidents. Most of what you wrote involves driving large (thus slow) vehicles or doing off-road track days.... what relevance does an off-road track day have to an on-road situation? None.
Do you even utilise roadcraft when you drive? I suspect not.
@@thefiestaguy8831 I've driven large trucks for 20 years, driven all over the world, recently passed yet another Advanced Driving test. Have you even sat in a truck? I suspect not
@@dangerousdavecox I don't need to sit in a truck to see that the BMW forced their way in... do I?
Well that's the Police for you 😊
Why blame the unmarked car. My opinion
location is the round about near the hamilton tesco in leicester
unmarked cop car was tailgateing round that roundabout.
Welcome to driving in the UK
Stupid place to pull it over and force a stop.
Was that police officer in uniform. I couldn't tell.
I know that roundabout well, and unlike the cop car, I don't swerve to avoid someone hitting me.
I've got a 20 year old banger, if you want to smash into the side of me due to your poor planning, go right ahead. 🤣🤣
An unmarked car? No flashing lights?? Am I watching the Keystone Cops here???
BMW probably does it all the time but that wasn't very good driving by the copper making the lorry slam it's brakes on and pull them over in a better place. Professional driver🤔
if the police car had slowed as soon as the bmw started indicating left they could’ve passed safely loool
Agreesive driving by both, such is the nature of driving in the UK. And what does the make of the car have to do with it? Are people intimidated by it? It's just another metal box with a three piece suite inside.
Come on, they were both driving like ass-hats. That cop sped up to make sure he couldn't get in, and then he forced his way in anyway. They both should get a time out.
Stumbles exiting the car good look.
@P V Hawks Hi, could I use this clip on my channel, linked and credited of course?
Yes Yes Yes.....hope it was more than a word in his ear.
2 car drivers in the wrong before lane narrows
The police driver's tailgating didn't help the BMW driver who did at least signal
Not necessary from both. The bull (german for policemen) should have let the BMW in, but the BMW had to do another turn because he wasn't let in. After that the bull blocked the truck to stay behind the BMW (not necessary) and then stopped the truck out (also not necessary). So I see 1 fault from the BMW driver, 3 from the bull. Who will be the one that pay for it? We all know it.
Just a whole bunch of bad drivers. Cops driving too close to the car in front, driving over the chevrons, other person pushing in, changing lanes at the last moment. NO ONE came out of this looking goog.
BMW, who would have thought?
BMW in wrong lane and forced their way in front of police car, just asking for points and a fine.
Not sure that’s a real police car? Only one tiny led in the side window?
I think the cops pulled him over because he used his indicator..🤪🤪
That's not the police..!!
I don't see such a big problem !!
Both were guilty of bad driving, the small hatchback realised he may have made a mistake, possibly, indicated to show his intentions and the unmarked police car just crowded him out, couldn't be bothered to hang back so as not to make an issue out of what could have been a genuine mistake???
Wasn’t a real BMW ....ffs it had an indicator on......😊
The BMW drove like a dickhead but given the police are the police a good driver would have back off given him room. If you can stop someone’s mistake turning into a near accident you probably should.
Well if the unmarked police car wasn't tailgating the silver car they would have seen the indicator on the black car.....
this is what i thought… the police car had plenty of time and space behind to slow down after the bmw driver realised they were in the wrong lane and put the indicator on
If that's the police why didn't they turn on their lights
Why did I guess it would be a BMW.
Jackpot!
The unmarked police car was definitely wrong to stop suddenly on a narrow road.
Sure, the BMW was a fool, but the police made the situation a lot worse and more dangerous.
Love it.
Oh look a BMW
Police car driver should have held back and let him in. Police are taught defensive driving techniques. Just chose not to do it on this occasion
The police are just as stupid as the BMW driver for stopping where they did
Love it
One and only Leicester 😂😂
If that was Leicester mate, I'm not surprised . We drove into Leicester for the first time in years a few weeks ago and had 4 near misses in the space of three hours. One with a VW Golf who was doing about 65 in a 30 zone, another with a woman in a 4x4 whose driving was appalling and cut in front of me on the dual carriageway and nearly hit the bollards on a closed off lane and then told me to stop swearing at her as she'd got kids in the car! Another who cut me up on a roundabout and one who undertook everybody on the Hinckley road and nearly hit another car. Madness!!
Anyone fancy a pint?
I think her name was Karen?
Karma
BMW? Must be a fake. Since when did BMWs use indicators??!!
I guess he didn’t win that race…
It must have been a race, right?
Sure, it was bad driving by the BMW, but it was also appalling driving from the police. They are also not in a police car equipped to handle traffic stops (one tiny blue light on the side of the car is not appropriate to be making a stop). This is a classic example of what happens when egos collide. Pathetic.
Welll I never, a BMW driver who thinks they own the road.
Love it 😂😂😂😂
tbh that police driver was a dick - they purposely moved up to stop the other driver getting in when they obviously weren't from the area and had gotten in the wrong lane. I know the BMW driver was still in the wrong and could have went round again, but it was a total dickish move by the police - as was forcing them to stop by pulling in front of them while there was a HGV behind and doing this on a roundabout exit. If I was driving that HGV I know who I'd have been more pissed off with.
Not convinced that was a police vehicle, more a private car going to or from work. BMW driver clearly new to his car as he accidentally activated the indicator. !police vehicle more at fault, no need to deliberately close the gap.
Had the SUV slowed down a tad and let the car in their would be no issue, but as usual police think they dont need to drive like the rest of us.
Of course it's an entry level BMW with 2 inches of grime all over it. Always a sub-human driving one.
Don't paint us all with the same brush, the cop forced the BM to do this
True that, i hate when people don't bend to my will when i try to bully them in traffic.
Reading the comments here, it seems that most of you dont know how to drive 😅
If someone attempts to force their way into the lane, then they are driving dangerously.
Just go around the frigging roundabout again, or even better, learn to drive and pick the correct lane in the first place.
He did indicate, why not just let him in? A little bit of road rage from the cop
The BMW was in the wrong lane. They could have just done another loop around the roundabout and safely and smoothly moved into the correct lane but they were too cocky and impatient to do so.
Indicating by no means gives you the right of way. If you always give way to these sort of drivers, They will never learn and carry on with their inconsiderate ways.
copper was also tailgating the vehicle in front of him.... to cap that off, he carved up a lorry, and then obstructed the highway. Just an out of control ego
@@yousernameish Yep, I was going to mention the cops emergency stop right in front of a moving truck. A cop not suffering rage issues would have followed that driver for a couple of miles and observe the manner of their driving, if it was concerning, then pull them over, not immediately at a busy junction for a minor error. There is far worse driving on the roads going unpunished
Why not just go around the roundabout again? Weird so many 'why not just' comments aimed at the police car, when the exact same phrase could be directed towards the civilian car, where it's a whole lot more relevant.
Ach meine Gott.
Nice rubbernecking by the driver who filmed it.
It's.. a dashcam.. no one is holding it..
Personally , I thought the unmarked Police car was a bit unneccsarily aggressive from that clip. Yeah, BMW clearly in the wrong lane and was most likely taking the piss but still.
A good defensive driver would have backed off and written this off instantly as just another example of idiot driving. The police car however deliberately made this worse by doing the opposite.
That's their job though, isn't it? To I dunno... Police things?
@byteme9718
The police driver was an even bigger idiot. It was obvious they accelerated to block the BMW which would have been picked up by the 'black box'. Had there been a collision it would have resulted in an investigation which may well have concluded the police driver's behaviour contributed to the accident.
@@r.h.8754 Exactly. It was appalling driving.
@@alexg1778 Yes but the police provoked this by their unsafe driving.
That's your take on this? That the police car, not the idiot who was in the wrong lane and tried to force their way in, was the bad guy? Christ, I hope I never encounter you on the roads.
The driver was indicating to manoeuvre left. .Sometimes if you don't know the area , you can find yourself in the wrong lane. The Galaxy could have been a little bit more courteous.
We’ve all missed a turn. Go around the roundabout, get in the proper lane, make your exit. A random signal does not give you carte Blanche to do whatever the fuck you feel like, and no road user is obliged to yield when you are entering their lane, the onus is on you not to do so until it is safe. This is terrible driving.
It wasn't a random signal at at all. Watch the video. If that was the Police in the Galaxy, then showed no courtesy at all, and should know better.
@@ianpalmer4840 Remember when learning to drive? And how you are not supposed to indicate until there is a gap to pull into? And do you remember why your tutor said this? That signal was not appropriate as it applied to the next exit available *in his lane*, and was thrown out there as a "make way for me" like so many selfish dickheads do. It's all in the highway code that you are expected to keep yourself up to date with.
You are talking nonsense. First of all you said it was a random indication, which clearly it wasn't. The driver realising he was in the wrong lane ,made every effort to indicate his intention at the earliest opportunity. The Galaxy showed no common sense or courtesy. If he had stopped , he would have blocked the turning right lane, and would have to have waited for a sensible and courteous driver to allow him in. The Highway Code cannot cover every difficult situation.@@mehashi
@@ianpalmer4840 It was random, because the signal was for the next exit, but he was using it incorrectly to cut across a lane and use a different exit from the one he was indicating to use. This is the same on your test. If you are in the wrong lane it will not be marked as a fault if you follow the lane, but if you try to cut across like this or move your car otherwise in accordance to your indication, that is a dangerous fault for which you will fail the test. This is very much black and white bud.
I had no idea they made bmws that small (that aren’t motorcycles or Isettas).
The 1-Series has been around for 20 years. I had the coupé in the UK 10 years ago. Great little cars - not enough companies make proper two-doors any longer... :(
