My 2005 blobeye wrx has the sti 6spd, hybrid vf23, TGV delete, sti pink injectors and sti tmic, full 3" turbo back exhaust and a Harvey truck up-pipe! The cars estimated to be running 360bhp but was road mapped so who knows, all i will say it drives very well and is very entertaining!
I ran a wrx for 3 years, fitted the sti vf43 turbo, sti top mount, Walbro 255 pump, full sti prodrive system with straight through centre and sport cat, it made quite an easy 318bhp/350ft/lb torque (with wrx top mount and no sport cat), box was fine but I didn’t launch it. The sti box swap is not just a box, you need prop, driveshafts and hubs all round plus new wheels to fit the 5x114 pcd. Best enjoy the wrx for what it is and move on before spending big on it. The are great bang per buck.
Time for the new modern loom/ECU. Well worth the cost especially if you factor in the cost of rebuilding a blown YB
The ECU on the cozzie with its sensors are ancient! The new loom gets rid of all the old Ford stutters

I had a classic impreza turbo. Was running 352bhp with 305ftlb and I did blow one 5 speed gearbox. 3rd is the common gear to go as its the most used. I put a type r sti box in still 5 speed and seemed fine afterwards.

I love it how all rolling roads use a 48k ZX spectrum for the graphics on the charts. Keep expecting Manic Miner to pop up.
Hawk 5 speed is stronger than you think, will run at your power level all day long.... the main concern is the bloody beeping on those gauges !!! Just hold the buttons down and then flick the ignition on to turn the beep off.
Mind of there own old Ford RS’s, I’ve had my money’s worth out of AA over years like 😂, cant help but love them though...bet you would sell the scoob before the Cossy
Can't complain with a WRX and Cosworth car combo mate both are lovely motors. My bugeye WRX is running 320hp 320lbft give or take and its on a 5 speed :-)

Nice one Adam ;right I have a early wrx classic 95 it’s running a straight cut gearbox by ppg they can take 600 bhp ,it’s got a td05 turbo fmic ,lightened flywheel ,and roger clark headers and exhaust ,but it’s on std 380 injectors there next to change ,that’s been mapped and it’s 305.6 bhp and 324 nm torque 👍

Hi adam.... love channel..... got a few toys meself but my 52 plate wrx is 330bhp and 305 foot pounds tuned by alan jeffreys in plymouth still on the 5 speed.... 8th impreza all have been 250bhp plus and never blown a box yet..... maybe cos im an oldie at 44 bit they all got driven enthusiastically especially the current one......
you know you got a classic when there is no cup holder for your coffee......lol
And that's how it should be, il never understand why people can't drive for 30mins without stopping for a coffee, it's like going the loo, have one before you go out...

When I had mine it was a standard td04 my03 wrx full decat with a sti up pipe and a cold air filter down between the inner wing. It was mapped to 290bhp. Year later the uppipe had broke and before having another power run I had a scoobyclinic uppipe fitted which are slightly bigger in diameter than standard. Then it went on the rollers and made 298bhp so it gained 8bhp with the uppipe
I have a 99 gc8 uk turbo 2000 fully forged bore to a 2.2 with td05 20g on its pervious set up when i bought it was 2l with td05 18g made 365 whp and 380 lbft ish on a 5 speed box but they are cryogenicly frozen gears but still a ticking time bomb so i will be swaping for a 6 speed once the 5 speed gives up
Take the Cossie to 7valley in Ironbridge. There or Andy Rouse or Graham Goode. They will get your Cossie *RIGHT* depending on your usage on the road
When u hit the limiter, u know you’ve had a good tune 👌

Another great video Adam. The clutch will start slipping before your gearbox goes bang. The increased torque kills the standard clutch in Scooby's.

Sounds like it’s over boosting maybe the wastgate is bugged so it’s not opening and the ecu is cutting ignition. Common problem in old turbo cars !

I got 02 bug WRX with 6 speed non dccd swap fully super pro poly bushed with hardrace lateral and trailing arms running only 300hp . Saving for turbo .

My impreza rally car runs 301bhp and 365ft lbs its running a 34mm restrictor but the anti lag sounds mega. Sti 6speed dccd r180 plated diff great fun

My Hawk WRX is running 350hp/400FtLb. Thats with IHI VF43 turbo, STi intercooler, Walbro 255 fuel pump and H&S 2.5" sports cat and straight through mid section.
The 5 speed gearbox eventually shat itself on the first track day I did, but just as likely to be my shit driving in fairness, I wasn't exactly showing much mechanical sympathy. 😄

Got a blob wrx and mines running 426bhp and 407ftlbs and I’m still on a 5 speed have been past 3 years if you don’t Rev the bollocks off it and miss and crunch gears your be fine with 350 ftlbs 👍🏻

First time I watched my M140i on the dyno, I was quite ermmm apprehensive lol, seeing it get thrashed.
In the vid you said it's now making 350nm torque, but then you said the box is rated at 350lb/ft ?
They are completely different readings. 350nm is about 258lb/ft.
Had my M140i mapped, and astounded to see it make 576nm, at only 411bhp.
Get cossie shipped to msd at Blackpool, highly recommended, my sapph was a different car afterwards, and that was before they had a rolling road!
I live round the corner from MSD I remember they used to live map the cars on the road - Always something nice flying about.

Probably blowing the spark out. Maybe try closing the gaps... I run 0.6mm and 1.5 bar without issue. I used to run 1mm gaps but the boost kept blowing them out.
Yes... but it’s been running fine up to now. They prob just need replacement.

Next video... I've cracked a piston! The 2.5 pistons are soft as clarts!! Avoid that rev limiter! I cracked a couple of pistons in my 2.5 sti by clipping a limiter with shit fuel in. Ended up with a fully forged engine 🤦🏻♂️

Shouldn't keep trying it when you know it won't boost, a nackered engine could be getting on for 5 figures to repair... Maybe a split hose, spring broke on actuator, actuator arm came off, dump valve nackered, a vacuum pipe popped off or the inlet manifold gasket blown.

Running 306bhp and 336ftlbs on a 5 speed with anti lag, no issues
Iv got a 1996 wrx jdm import with 323.3 bhp and 340lb of torque on a 5 speed, all fine with me
Keep both Adam there both nice but the Cossie as you know is worth so much now, iam gutted I ever sold my series 1 rs turbo, be nice to have the Cossie running at 300 break.

My internet diagnosis on the Cossie is the phase sensor in the dizzy is fooked , mines done exactly the same
is this similar to a toyota prius ,
you have to put more parts in aswell if your doing a 6 speed, cheaper and easier just to buy the sti. my blobeye wrx is running the standard prodrive power of 265
