Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., the lead House impeachment manager, argued against Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s resolution that would govern the Senate impeachment trial of President Donald Trump. Schiff said the resolution blocks important evidence that should be presented, as well as key witnesses that should be called to testify. He accused Republicans of working with the White House to rush the impeachment trial and quickly dismiss the charges against the president -moves that he said would prevent a “fair trial.” Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives in December on two articles - abuse power and obstruction of Congress. The Senate will now decide whether to convict Trump of those charges and remove him from office or acquit him. This video is part of the PBS NewsHour's full coverage of the Trump impeachment trial, hosted by anchor and managing editor Judy Woodruff.
