    Great video. How many LUFS do you aim for on your master?

    • @heychrisgreen
      @heychrisgreen  5 месяцев назад +2

      Thanks! I use Ozone for a slight amount of mastering and sometimes comparing with a reference track. It has the LUFS measurement as well as the Mastering section in Studio One but I don’t give them much attention.. not saying at all it’s the right thing to do! 😅 If I’m happy with the way a track sounds I can deal with my LUFS being off

      @@heychrisgreenabout how much can it be off from say 14lufs without it being a problem? Thank you. Also, the info about a quick attack signal not having enough time to register 18rms probably saved hours of figuring that out on my own trying to get it perfect. Thanks.

    usually i use 64bit should i go back to 32bit ??

    • @heychrisgreen
      @heychrisgreen  5 месяцев назад +2

      Keep doing what works for you! I doubt there are many streaming platforms that accept a 64bit audio file without downgrading them to 24bit. You’re going to be “future proof” with 64 bit but I’ve not seen anyone making a case that 64 bit sounds better 🤷‍♂️ Might want to export a 24 bit file of your 64 bit mixes just to compare and be sure you havnt lost anything

    Hi Chris, when I open My Studio One 4.5 it pop up a window saying "the sample rate does not match your audio device configuration. The rate you set 441. kHz, the rate the device has 32.0 kHz". What's the problem and can I fix it ?

    • @heychrisgreen
      @heychrisgreen  5 месяцев назад

      Sounds like your Audio Device is set to System Audio. If you open your Studio One settings there should be a drop down menu for Audio Playback and Recording Device. Make sure your interface is plugged in before you open Studio One, otherwise it reverts to your system’s audio. If your interface is plugged in, then you might need to use your audio interface’s software to change the sample rate. Hope that helps or gives you a starting point!

      Thanks for your quick response. Yes, I'm using Sennheiser GSX1000 sound card, however I found no where I could adjust the sample rate. Much appreciated if you would tell me how to change it. @@heychrisgreen

      @@MrJlau88 I’m not familiar with that sound card but here is a video where he changes the sample rate around the 3 min and 50 second mark.. I also read that if you have it configured for 7.1 surround sound it might switch to 16bit automatically

      Hi Chris, thank you for your share. I have changed it and now I don't see that pop up window saying that the sample rate doesn't matched. Much much appreciated.@@heychrisgreen
