I thought for a second you were going to say there she was in all her glory the Arabella which of course was right there on the screen as well as the Honorable William wall very interesting
So Onno - I've been having some sign in issues lately on Facebook, which is why I haven't been on. I got it sorted out (kinda lol), and wanted to catch up on what you'd been up to. When I saw this video, I started to well up. You already have this magical ability to bring emotions into your beautiful photography, but I wasn't prepared for this in your first video & started to tear up. First, my condolences again for the family challenges you've been through recently. Secondly, your technical skills in this video's creation was absolutely captivating! The music, inclusion of your photos, the map blending - I've seen professional productions that don't match this caliber. And lastly - I truly believe that your life experiences & talents, combined with your photography (and hopefully videography) passion, need to be shared on a RUclips channel, if that is where your calling takes you. The experiences we go through, make us relatable to people so we can seed inspiration & hope. And true success can be measured, through the success of others we've inspired in our journey. Thank you for being my inspiration. Take care my friend, and I'm excited to see more soon! :D
I did most of it inside, up to C and D then down to Norfolk , inside to Stuart , across to west coast . Worked at City of Ft. Myers yacht Baden for 6yrs. I’ve in Naples for past 20 years
I'm liking on your very clever use of getting the camera off boat and taking out the pole in post... care to share the process? Curosity is killing me and yes I know what happened to the cat :) ... enjoyed the video, well done :)
Hello! We took about a month or a bit more with numerous stops along the way. If you want to do it quickly you would need to stay out on the ocean for the entire trip. It’d be possible with favourable winds to do it in 8-10 days. But you’d definitely need an experienced captain and crew. Cape Hatteras and the Gulf Stream need to be contended with.
Good day and thanks for watching. It turned out to be a faulty sending unit that was connected to the high pressure fuel pump. Fuel was leaking passed the threads. He only has access to the engine from one side and it was difficult to diagnose. I used my 360° camera to video the opposite side of the engine to find the problem.
Hi! Sorry for the late, very late, reply. I’m full time cruising now so home is where the anchor drops. Currently she is on the hard in Guaymas Mexico as i work a bit on the hull.
On this trip from New York to Florida, the boat was only moored at West Palm Beach. We anchored all the way down the coast with the exception of Elizabeth city where they had a municipal dock that we could tie up to.
I was hoping to see more technical data, loke it was x nautical miles to Atlantic City… took x hours at x speed. Ext and legs listed and labeled thusly… wlehat ever still abgood video
I will watch the rest. I did that trip in 1997 on my 27 ft. Watkins sail boat
Im about to do this in a Columbia 28 1977, i wanna go on the outside though. What are your thoughts
Cool. Thanks for sharing.

@@OnnoKok Ah so... you used it to good effect methinks :) Thanks for sharing the info, I just may look into that a bit more.
What time of year did you guys do the trip? Great passages.
Hi! Sorry for such a long time to reply. We started in mid September and we’re down in Florida in late October
Your dinghy is made five minutes from my house... great views
Really?!? Cool!
I’m buying a boat in New York. I need to get it to Florida and then to Texas. Without stops. How long did it take to get to Florida?

Wwas kind of wondering what exactly was the cause of air entering the fuel lines

What time of year was this? I am getting ready to move a 30ft O'day from long island sound to Norfolk VA in mid Jun.
@@OnnoKok Thank you for the advice
How do you have lost pearl moored

Thank you! It’s always a guess to what the audience will find interesting.
You guys stopped more times than the miles you sailed.
😆 We had the dog aboard and Rob wanted to avoid too many overnights. There were also weather window issues with a hurricane off towards Bermuda.
I hate the generic music...but I guess its copy rights that prevent using the good stuff
Yes, that’s correct.
Is there a part 2?
@@OnnoKok great! Looking forward to it!
@@OnnoKok watched it and it was very cool!
Weird someone from NY going to florida.
We’re both from Canada. My buddy bought the boat there. He’s now been in the Bahamas and Caribbean the last two years.
@Adventures of the Lost Pearl great adventure. Glad he is out living it up.
