Love these videos, thanks! I have a small collection of 80's Ibanez basses and would love to add a bean bass since I had an MC888 back in the 90's, they're hard to come by.
Looking at a couple - MC900 and MC924. Just concerned about the weight. I also own a 1982 G&L L2000 that I love, but I need a chiropractic adjustment after standing with it all night....
Most of them are quite heavy. Up to 5.2kg, which is the weight of my first one and messed up my back. There are some lighter one around, but I never buy one, without checking the weight.
@@aphekrecordingstudio4274 The two I’m looking at are 4.5 and 4.6 kg. Just over 10 pounds (I’m American…) Not bad but not great. I have a decent bass collection, but my main gigging bass these days is a Ernie Ball Musicman Sterling 4HH model because it’s small and light and I need to stand for 3-4 sets 2x a weekend…
Loving the series, Greg. EDIT : The BEAN bass blows doors off the 924. It's so much fuller, warmer, richer, gooeyer.
It’s a pity they didn’t have the same strings for a more accurate test, but I agree, the Bean’s sound great.

Well, you’re ahead of me. I didn’t even know about the Bean Basses, until around 8 years ago (although I had seen them).
Another great video Greg 😀
Thanks.
Arthur Maia recorded "Boa Noite/Djavan" with this bass.
Arthur gravou boa noite com um ária pro II sb1000 emprestado pelo André Rodrigues, me foi dito pelo próprio
