Not bad but if you have the brush vacuum head that goes on the extension pole, no need for a weight. I connect the hose to the brush head and put it in the middle of the cover with the hose connected to it. Create the vacuum and the cover is cleared off in a matter of minutes. 11 years with the pool now and you learn a little each year. I actually pull all the leaves up the sides before I drain it. Full flow until cover is nearly cleared
That's a great suggestion. I should have thought of that! Will give that a go next season for sure. I'm only three years in so yes, definitely still learning! Thanks again for the advice and guidance!
Have you ever had issue with a vinyl pool being damaged by draining it an not putting it away for the winter? I want to do that with our new pool but heard some say it would ruin it? Thanks
We don't drain it. We leave it up and keep it full throughout the winter. I'm in NJ and I've kept it up through cold weather and snow. The amount of work to pull the entire pool down is just too much IMO. You're left having to relevel and start from scratch come spring, not to mention the costs of filling the pool again.
@@oldandslow8994yes, it had inadvertently gotten drained a bit due to one of the B port hoses that cracked. I might have mentioned this in the beginning of the video, but I don't remember! Haha
THANKS I APPRECIATE YOUR INFORMATION
Hope it was helpful!! I'm all about easier processes! Thanks for the comment!
You’re awesome I been battling with this the last couple days lol 😂thank you
Thanks so much for the love!! Good luck!

SWEEEEEEEET!!
That wife impression was perfect lol 😂
Thanks!! My wife wasn't a fan of it though 😅
I taped my brush pole to the hose so I could push it to the center.
Great move!!
Great Idea!
Thanks so much!
Holy shit what a terrific idea! Lol
@@ronmilly2121 ha!!! Thanks!!
My wife uses this technique on my checking account.
Hahahaha I feel your pain!!
it’s flow faster if hose is higher on the ladder
Yeah I had it flowing faster before I stopped and reshot the video. Thanks for your comment!
In NY or NJ, you would need three permits to do this. And probably still get arrested.😂
🤣 😆 it's true
