Showing the messy failures are MORE important than the clean successes. The problem solving that comes after is where we can really learn from you. Bonus, you end up with more credibility and trust since you are willing to let transparency overcome ego. Thanks homie!!
OMG this just explained why I fail so many obstacles in slick conditions. I have been holding the throttle open too long and trying to feather the clutch mid-obstacle to try and manage the traction to the rear wheel. sometimes I get it right, but often it spins out. This deliver/collect is a perfect way to conceptualise it.
Your a very good teacher. Explaining the almost unexplainable and not too embarrassed to show the slip ups. Agree with everything you've said . Even the things I didn't know I was doing sure enough after your explanation I realise that's how it's done. Yeah good show
Totally amazing how you are gelling on that bike. The TBI must fit your style just right. You're good on any bike, but there is just a little more confidence I'm sensing and wow it's a noticeable visual and audible difference. Great tips...You are helping so many riders and you also help to keep our sport moving forward!!! Much appreciated.
great info ! especially regarding leaving the clutch out . i recently did a trials training day with Toby Martin, we were practicing a greasy twisty hill climb, and his main point of approach was to leave the clutch out if it to keep everything smooth. we all struggled , so he made a point of riding up it one handed without the clutch !😂 love these pointers man, keep 'em coming !
Just awesome tutelage. Next riding thoughts for me are to fully engage clutch and maintain momentum. Last ride i was riding with the clutch on the engagement point and kept spinning my tire on difficult climbs. Made it hard to maintain balance. Thanks Rich.
Thank you for the awesome content! I wouldn't call the fall a fail. You succeeded in showing why too much throttle is not the proper choice. You did in fact mention that you were scared to show poor technique and the tip over proved why.
I can relate to that. In a long riverbed I eventually lose the ability to pull the clutch, so I am very nicely forced into all that "just keep going" thing. Although stopping can be a bit of a pain sometimes. Speaking of, @IRCTireUSAMoto Rich, you did a series on in-garage training. Can you do one on off-bike training too? Are there any shortcuts or secrets? Or do we just ride for as long as we can, and with time that "long" will get longer on its own?
First and foremost, incredible videos and thank you for giving back to other riders. Ive learned so much from following your vidoes. As a current Beta 300rr riders, can you do a bike review on your Husqvarna TE300 now that you have been riding it for a while. Ive been debating trading the Beta for one and would like to hear your comments and perhaps even comparing it to your Betas.
You coming to Pennsylvania anytime soon? I have a little over 13 acres of some pretty gnarly elevation, big rocks, trees, rocks and even more rocks 😂. My friends and I would love to do a class.
Awesome skills and explanation. Would a heavy flywheel help?? Maybe a really low end focused engine would also be advantageous. Cheers for the lessons 👍
This tracking camera is wondering a lot - making me dizzy 🤣 - don't know what setup can be done on that but or less sensitive or set it up with tracking focus on the bike not on You 😁
Whats your opinion on recluse clutches? I've never used one. But I absolutely despise them. I know you can't dislike what you've never experienced, but the concept just turns me off... for lack of better words.
Great info, ill still fail and blame my tires
😆
😂😂
I’m the same. I blamed my old tyres. I’ve just had new tyres fitted so I can start blaming them too.
LMAO

You break things down perfect, learned a lot from you. Thanks for your time and effort into making these videos.
I appreciate that!
Thank you! For making such great videos! The explanation , break down, and showing the fail!… So good!

Another nice informative video from The Man again. Thank you sir.
Nice to see u fail on an obstacle once in a blue moon by the way
Great stuff! I’d love to see a slow-mo zoomed in breakdown of doing it properly… so I wouldn’t have to rewind and rewatch it 10 times manually 😂
i love this video.. your second attempt is totally me. We'll keep at it!! Thanks for the tips!! Come to MO!!
Thanks for the support! Hope to make it there!
Hello from Greece 🇬🇷 ! Thanks for your knowledge
Thanks for the support!
Very clean explanation, thank you!!

Definitely something wrong with that new Camera, it makes it look easy! 😂 Thanks for another great video and skill demonstration!!
😂😂 appreciate it!
Good stuff… guess I need to course correct few things ! Great info….

Wow! If Toby says it it’s true! What a privilege to ride with that legend!

I love your crf 350x ttr
The second example would be me, probably every time. I’m ok with logs but rocks like that worry me a bit. Great video 👍🇦🇺
Thanks for watching!!
The new Husky took one for the team. 😂 Keep up that great content! 👍
Thanks! Will do!
Curious, which camera tracking device are you using? Awesome video by the way! 👍
I really enjoy the failed attempt. Humbling yourself just to prove your point. Excellent coaching!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the support!
I use the no clutch technique in a race when I lose all ability to grab and hold the clutch. I'm glad this is a technique I can hone in on. Lol
Haha! That’ll work

I love your videos. It’s hard to see what your doing in this one though

Love ur inspiring training vids! 😊
So i have a question... how does this exercises go with a "big" 4stroke like the WR 450 F. Difficulty level really
Learn the most from watching you're videos. Real dael, even the crashes.
Thanks so much! Glad It helped!
In the first obstacle you make always in first gear? Thanks for the tips 👍
Sometimes. Depends on the bike depends on the gearing depends on the rider.
How are you liking the Phase gear? Sizing good for a 6’ rider 169lbs? Looks like a slim fit. Im always an awkward sizing mess.
I love the phase fitting!
What is the camera that tracks you?😮
also curious
@@letsgoenduro he could be using an Insta360 and then use the editing to track his movement at least that's how I've done things with my 360..
It’s called a OBSbot tail
@@IRCTireUSAMoto The thing works remarkably well. I'm impressed.

Be nice if you didnt have hand guards , like to see the clutch work
