Seems odd to recommend it even though it doesn't have any kind of secret associated with beating it using that badge, so just a weird design choice all around.
19:44 this is supposed to teach you to open and close your cap midair to reset your speed, since if you just try floating down from the first time you open your cap you're not going to reach the purple coin. the coins and bubbles are placed in a way to show that, and if you still dont get it a talking flower at the bottom tells you you can open and close the cap, so it's not completely obvious how to get it at first and still provides somewhat of a challenge in both figuring it out and actually performing it
The best part about the last search party level is that you can take whatever power up you want (minus fire flower) and leave without doing the level to get the power ups.
this is what other mainline mario games need, just a sustainable source to get powerups so the final most difficult challenge can be more manageable (item grinding literally more than doubled my attempt time on champion's road)
I didn’t think to use drill in the search party for 13, so I pulled off the bubble jump, and at the time, I had never done a successful bubble jump. I’m proud of myself!
it's honestly a miracle 'hurry, hurry' has only taken you 1 million attempts. i still haven't beaten it and it has consumed my life. each waking hour is just trying to perfect my run and collect that last final wonder seed for the sweet release of 100%. my body and mental health have taken a toll and my family won't even speak to me. they'll regret the day they cut me out of their lives
Another funny thing about the Dolphin Kick 1 challenge is that you instinctively follow the flowers, even after you took their coin. However, they actually take you through unnecessary turns. It's the only reason why I needed 5 tries to 100% this challenge.

I actually like the search parties and looked forward to them. It was fun interacting with randos trying to solve puzzles. Trying to help others was fun too.
I hate Super Mario Wonder! Simply because replaying the other (newer) 2d marios now feels so empty. Really loved how new stuff was constantly being introduced. (And yeah the search parties sucked hard)
I think you missed the point of hurry. It's to make sure everyone knows about the run button. I've played with people (mostly my parents) who didn't even know it was a thing. This game is aimed at kids who can't read and parents who've never touched a controller, not gamers like us who need a challenge.
How does no one talk about the hurry hurry segment and how he literally just overexaggerated in the terms of the classic RUclips trope: saying that the easiest level in the game is actually the hardest in the game!?!
Search party pipe park is the ONLY wonder seed I had to look up for the entire game, pushing a wall pipe may be clever but there was zero indication and i feel like pushing pipes is so forgettable you dont even think about it. Maybe if they added a pipe you had to push in the beginning maybe to replace that hidden block token, at least then you would remember it exists and are aware of the trickery afoot
Search Party: An Empty Park was the only time I felt like I was playing a New Soup level in Wonder. Specifically New Soup U because of the memories of a good chunk of Star Coins being hidden it the most BS "why would I do this" areas.
Honestly, I've always preferred the Search Party levels over the KO Arenas, mainly because the arena timers keep running even when you're just trying to get to the pipes.
Is it only me who didnt realise until recently the outmaway bonus stage is meant to be completed by avoiding ice blocks until you eventually get the wonder seed?
Watery Wonder Tokens is an underdeveloped concept, but it inspired me to make a SMM2 autoscroller where the water goes down amd you gotta avoid enemies and obstacles
These levels were honestly so great. It's crazy because I hardly ever see someone bring them up when talking about Wonder, when they were one of the coolest things for me.
11:48 Try throwing the firework canisters upwards, this can be more effective occasionally since, you are not susceptible to the automatic timing of the projectiles. Also spin boost with drill is a great combo for this room. If done right it is possible to clear this room in around 15 seconds.
The search parties and KO areanas are by far the worst BONUS levels in the game and my least favorite part of the game besides those stupid block levels in w2
