Brother I just found your channel since I recently sold my 725whp c6z06 and am looking at a miata for a cheap track day toy, and let me say this is the best miata content I've found!
I agree 100% with one of your main points: You need to have two cars - - one for doing most things during the day, and "the Miata". I pretty much only drive my 2003 Miata SE (6-speed) on nice days with the top down - - when I'm by myself and don't have a need to carry a lot of stuff, and where I'm not going a really long distance on freeways. It's always fun fun fun. I'll never sell it.
That bit at the end about the NC. Definitely made me more at ease about buying an NC2 this weekend! Was initially gonna get an NB after stumbling upon your channel but decided the nc would be more livable in the coming years

Had a na for a few months and LOVED it. BUT the nb2 is SO much better in my opinion for my personal needs. I just love the updated overall inside and out and lighting. I love the na but the nb is the cherry 🍒 for me.
P, just picked up a 03 silver w/33k on it super clean and yes it's stock, but auto. Time to play with it! I've been watching your vids and appreciate all the great info! Thanks
loved the video as always. I have to do a timing belt change this weekend and I was dreading it in a way but now after watching you I am really excited to get my car back in shape for the summer. Excited to see more from the channel
I had planned on replacing my 94 Integra GSR with 370K+ miles with the 2000 Miata LS I picked up last summer. But I still have the Integra, and I currently drive it on rainy days because of a Miata roof/top leak that I haven't pinpointed yet. I wish I had a hard top for the Miata to put on during winter. And sometimes I almost wish I had gone for a NC PRHT instead of the NB for daily driver duties, as it's so much more refined than the NB.
My NA Miata used to be my daily driver. That got tiresome after a few years. I now have a Corolla as well and that makes all the difference. Love my Miata, best handling car on the roads today.
I'm sure if I felt what an LSD feels like in a similar NB I'd be bothered by it but honestly it's been fine so far. I will eventually install a torsen maybe next year or after that. Turbo stuff would be tough with open diff haha. Thanks!
Patty Boi, I'm about to buy my first NB partly thanks to your videos... Just need to put my VW Eos up for sale first. I love the 2.0 TFSI engine and all, but I feel that a Miata is much better suited for my character and lifestyle.
Trust me when I say everyone says they don't want a hardtop until they get a hardtop. It improves the car so much! Not only does it reduce NVH but it also gives a great amount of chassis stiffening. I just took my soft top out and installed hard mounts.
yeah that's true about the chassis stiffening for sure. I just can't justify the up front cost ($1000+). Even though you always get the same amount when selling it back to the market used.
Did you get yours tuned at a shop? If you did it on your own, how’d you know what to do? I just picked up an mkturbo for my NB and it had 640cc injectors like yours. I’m trying to figure out a tune to where i can install the injectors. Thanks!
love it. i have a 2003 Shinsen Miata with a few upgrades, i absolutely love it as well. can you please give out your tire set up, i would appreciate that.
Ayeeee I'm from bay city love to see some michigan content I'd take my nb over an na any day I hate pop up headlights they're bulky and not efficient unless you upgrade them
Love your car, Patty. LOve the sound! I have 04 MSM, and while I have that high end power you spoke about, I can really appreciate natural aspiration. Of course, I don't have megasquirt yet and that will change things. Question, love the wideopens. At ET25mm did you roll the fenders, get any rubbing? I am weighing ET 35, 28, and 25, have negative camber, ride height about 4.5/5. Thanks!
I did a slight roll to get a slight curve up instead of flat fender, really nothing too crazy (had to do it with a bat). Hasn't rubbed once even on track!
well, I have to get being the wheel one day but for racing there's no comparison between a bolt on NC vs. bolt on NB....NC would blow it out of the water sadly........but I really need to test drive one 0.0
@@marcpasquinelli2548 oh yeah don't get me wrong, I like my NB but I think I can see myself owning an NC in the future (and probably keeping it a bit longer)

I just paid off my 2011 Subaru Legacy 3.6R legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/timothy-bs-2011-3-6r-limited-build-thread-260230.html It was my first real car to modify. I've done all the maintenance myself (aside from any warranty work). Learned to do vinyl wrapping, paint correction and built my own struts as well using Koni cut-a-struts (sadly Legacy doesn't have much for sport options for this generation) I plan to keep it for commuting and road trips. It's kinda heavy (3500lbs or so) makes a lot of low end grunt and has a nice flat torque curve, so it cruises nice and the seats are comfortable for long trips. But, I am pretty much done messing with it. I'm ready for a second car. I've been looking through a lot of different options (GTI, Miata, MR2, Porsche Boxster S) It seems the Miata should be able to offer what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a cheap car, easy to work on, something I can practice manual in and something light and thrown around easily. I'm looking to buy an NB2 sometime in the next two to three months.
