Using dowels to plug the larger holes?. Super glue works great for filling cracks. Maintaing the integrity of the foundation seems important on a pachinko

These tiny holes are considered desirable by furniture people. I'm not filling them up!
Could you use a sand blaster to clean up the rusted parts better?
Maybe, I only have a soda blaster which isn’t as strong. I used a grinder on those parts.
