I’m Straight and people call me cisgender but I would like to just be called a man or a guy but if I ask for people to do that they don’t it doesn’t make sense because if I respect someone’s pronouns why can’t they call me a male
This generation is so obsessed with labels, they label everything
@chloevalentine1625 I know right
People want things to be all about them that’s why they’re hypocritical and narcissistic.
I'm sorry that people treat you that and don't respect your boundaries with the term cisgender or cis but it is mostly used in the context of "trans person and cis person" to not exclude one or the other (ex: saying trans man and just man exclued the other and vise versa)
Im sorry if I typed too much I just like explaining

"Everyone deserves love and respect" you say? Tell that to the Trans Community disrespecting women and filled with anger!
Yep
How r they disrespecting woman??
@@KiwaKiwi305 by pretending to be them
@@leoj_yt well as a “real woman” ig lol I’m not offended at ALL
This is a total nonsense or bullshit!
In terms of respect or lack therof, was the term cisgenger created by the straight community or the L.G.B.T.Q community?.
but what if I just wanna be a woman? I don't wanna have a label im basically the default settings
To bad trans people are called trans and cis people are called cis (no hate btw)

Haha 😂
Your gender is identified at birth; not assigned.
the *biological* genders are female and male, the rest are sort of made up by society
Yes 👍.
I just wanna be called male, thanks!
A man with man parts is a man and a woman with woman parts is a woman. Being something else is different and rare. There is nothing wrong with being something different. But to need to add an extra pronoun onto a pronoun for people that are, for lack of a better word "normal", is bloody ridiculous.
Yes very true
Looks like someones tipsy from learning actual advanced biology...
@iatesaggywafflesfordinner7233 that was not advanced biology. Just heard the phrase cis male get used for the first time so looked it up and was pretty shocked that it was a thing. As I said, nothing wrong with being different. But the minority should not be in charge of what words the majority use. That's messed up
@@draftinator I wasn't talking about the phrase
Imagine thinking the pseudo BS of 'identity' that comes from Gender Studies is advanced Biology. Imbecile. '@@iatesaggywafflesfordinner7233
I’m a Woman. I don’t identify with the term Cisgender. Yet I support people who do. I support all people . I have the right to identify as a Woman, the same way anyone else has to identify as themselves. This is a two way street. I respect every pronoun, but I have the right to identity as a Woman. We are all equal!
Cisgender? Or just normal people?
Yes true
indeed, everyone deserves love and respect (ideally). also, this is a bunch of drivel.
well put
I'm so freaking confused...
it's easy if you have a male sex you're a man and if you have a female sex you're a woman
And do they divide into hyperbolic or parabolic? Becuse I have feeling there are never enough brackets!
What is wrong with just saying i'm straight? Is this where society is heading? I'm truly loosing my hopes and trusth in humanity
I was assigned a girl at birth and still define myself as a girl, Iʼm cisgender then
Would you mind bleeping the word Cis in your videos. Thank you so much
Rights and ideals should be defended, not feelings of a small group of people. Hope this helps!
@@Gordy-io8sbit’s actually a very very very large group of people who don’t like being called “cis”. The vast majority according to polls.
I've had enough, I'm logging off. Why even try to keep with people who obviously confused!
No
Huh
Agreed.

I am non binary and use he/they, I love your videos!!
That is awesome!
People cannot change their gender. If you were born with XY chromosomes, you are and will always be a male. If you were born with XX chromosomes, you are and will always be a female. If you were born with neither of these chromosomal types, you are a hermaphrodite.
I use She/her/hers and They/Them/Theirs pronouns. I'm learn all of these gender terms and I'm now questioning if I'm non-binary. Sense you are can I have your thoughts?
I support you
@Saint_Halo you can be cisgender and have she/they pronouns, but yeah you can take as much time as you need 😅
I wish you had included intersex people!

@@amazeorgYou guys mean hermaphrodites???

Yeah, both of them.
I’m straight, cis and very girly
I’m a non-binary as an they/them 😁
But what's is your biological sex ?
Im a demigirl. I use she/they
I don’t know why people are so mad as at the term “cisgender” I’m a cis male and I’m totally fine with it. Trans means “the opposite side of” and cis means “the same side of”. If you wanna label some women/men as “transgender” you’ll have to be ready to address other women/men as “cisgender”. If you don’t wanna use the term “cis” you’d probably have to refrain from calling people “trans” too. Otherwise, just unify both cis and trans people using the terms “woman” (for FTF, MTF, and ITF), “man” (for MTM, FTM, and ITM), and “other”.
I don't know why anyone be mad at that word either,I mean I'm cisgender myself and I don't have problems with it
What’s wrong with saying straight? You scared to say it
@@aedt3 he wasn't even talking about straight people,so I don't know why you bring that up when he's talking about gender?😂

What is demisexual
I am yeyrasdhjeqwashdjewqaysdhjn. And if you dont' remember that, you are a bigot.
@@chloevalentine1625 Demisexual is when you don't experience primary sexual attraction, but only if they connect to a close emotional bond. Demigirl is when your partially identifies as female but not as a whole. It's ok to not understand it,take as much time as you need
This is misinformation and a useless explanation, firstly because sex is not 'assigned at birth'. It develops in the womb by the process of sex differentiation. Secondly, you failed to define either 'gender' or 'gender identity', or what it means to 'identify with a gender', and yet you claim that we all have one with no evidence, and demonstrable evidence that not everyone, or even most people define themselves in these terms. This is pure ideology, not fact. If you want to show people respect, respect their intelligence and respect their right to evidence based, factual information.
Are people.. actually being offended by being called Cis? Because the only people being offended would be people who use Trans as a slur.
The prefix "cis-" literally means "on the same side", as opposed to "on the opposite side". The term "cis-gender" implies that a person has an internal gender identity which in principle could have differed from their external biological sex, but in their case happens to match it. I prefer not to be labelled as cis-gender because this implication is inaccurate with regards to me.
I am a woman simply because I'm biologically female. If I were biologically male (all else being equal), I'd be a man. It has nothing to do with some separate "gender identity" that just so happens to match my biological sex. In fact, I wouldn't say I even have a separate gender identity, any more than I have a "height identity" or "age identity" as distinct from my physical height or chronological age. With respect to all these characteristics, my body just is whatever it is; I don't need to "identify" as anything. Nobody calls me "cis-height" or "cis-age" or or cis-anything else, and likewise I see no reason to be called cis-gender. Of course I won't throw a tantrum if someone does call me that. But it is rather hypocritical of some people, who get grievously offended when others don't use their preferred terms to describe them, to insist on describing me as cis-gender whether I like it or not.
One wonders why some feel the need to push so hard for the use of this term. I suppose it's a way of perpetuating their theories on gender (in this case, the idea that basically everyone experiences a gender identity as distinct from their biological sex, not just trans people), but in an implicit way so as to avoid pushback. It's also done less subtly with terms like "assigned male at birth", which tries to assert (incorrectly) that "maleness" is just a title that people get given, in contrast with the fact that they were male from well beforehand and would have continued to be male either way.
Hope this helps a bit!
@@Ace-jz1rk ok, but rarely does anyone use it in real life conversation, and even more rarely use it derogatorily. They mainly use it when a Transgender person is being discussed.
Example: "That woman over there looks like a woman."
vs "That Trans woman over there looks a lot like a cis woman."
@@laravioliiii2832 I suppose that makes sense too. I was simply providing my view. I do wonder why people care. Like seriously, being called cis isn't that big of a deal.
