I love how she was calm and collected , she didn't raise her voice or scream. She was merely stating hard cold truths and yet the emperor accused her for being noisy and making trouble for him and even calling her crazy and insane. Its not a surprise to anyone that the emperor thinks that the whole world should bow at his feet and that every women would do anything to be by his side even after he hurts them or abandon them, he thinks they will still go back to him. But when he realized that the empress did not beg or groval for forgiveness and to not demote her, he must have realized that the world does not revolve around him and there are going to be people who wants to leave him and are going to give up on him.

@@surmasarkar5896 indirectly...he was forcing her to do it but she couldn't. If she did it, it would clear her name and end the rumors. So her bf did it as she knew the empress couldn't, which would mean her death or exile again.
The actress ended up in a bad marriage to another actor but he was from America and they got a divorce. So she really did bring the character to life in more ways then one. When I saw that, I just loved her more. Outside and inside the character, the actress is an amazing and strong woman.

感觉如懿在开始的时候，眼眶带泪，一直强忍着眼泪，因为觉得眼前这个男人不值得她掉泪，接着到眼泪完全没了，因为彻彻底底的看清眼前这个人。到最后剪发的时候，眼睛是说着情断意绝了。

斷髮這段，乾隆和如懿的對話，太像一般問題夫妻的互相指罵，霍建華和周迅的演繹太捧了👍
PS CHAN 真的很像。一開始埋怨對方不如從前，然後翻舊帳、拿前任和異性密友來刺激對方，直到「離婚」兩字說出口⋯

《如懿傳》就是這麼一部精品，不是只有主角出彩，而是許多配角都有水準，超讚！說實在，《如懿傳》裡許多配角的演技都比吳謹言強多了，雖然《延禧》本身也是一部佳作，只是《如懿》的精緻水準實在無法讓人不著迷。
如懿传里的每个角色单独拿出来都可以是一部完整的剧

渣隆渣的其中一點是，他講後總是前後不一，他：「就只會掃朕的興。」但鹿血酒那會兒，要不是如懿剛好懷孕在永壽宮暈倒，他說不定還要氣到讓她不知道跪到什麼時候，後來出事發現懷孕了才說：「她是讓朕清醒的冷雪。」天哪~~~這男人好噁心................
这一段"休夫"看得很过瘾，她果然很"有种"，断了就断了，永不回头!

She had had enough of him! At her funeral, after reading Ruyi’s letter to the prince about being free and her cutting her portrait away, the useless emperor realised that Ruyi hated being empress and everything about the palace. At first she agreed to be the empress because of her love for him, and that she would be buried with him when she dies. In the end, she was so disappointed with him that she stopped loving him, and I suspect even hating him. So the emperor realised all this especially to be “free”, stripped her title and ordered that she be buried as status of concubine, with the others. He did it knowing her wishes and in contrition, not in anger. To me, it shows her utter disgust and disappointment in him, her one and only love from the time she entered the palace as a potential concubine at the age of 12.
The main lead, Wallace Huo acted so well that I can’t bring myself to see his scenes of betrayal and mistreatment of Ruyi. I read that even the actor himself would burst into uncontrollable sobbing at the end of such scenes. He felt bad for his treatment of Ruyi!

Even Wallace's real life wife, Ruby said that she could not stand to watch him acting as QianLong's deplorable character. She wanted to drop watching the drama cause of his character 🤣 too detestable and evil.

La mirada, el gesto, como la apunta con el dedo cuando le dice que cambió, y cuando le pega, la cara que pone es es de espanto de su reacción de haberle pegado pero que a la vez lo tiene merecido porque Ruyi le dijo todo lo que se merecía y el no acepta que le digan nada, pero en cambio en una ocasión le hizo prometer a Ruyi que siempre hablará con la verdad. Cómo le va a decir "acomplejado" es que Hongli tenía miedo que Ruyi lo compare con Ling Yunche. Un hombre humilde que cumplió su palabra de menospreciar su vida con tal que no dañen la emperatriz. Amor tan grande y tan puro el de Ling Yunche.
yeah i read this too, he was sobbing in their last scene and even zhou xun was shocked. 😂 I think he really go invested into the character not to mention that zhou xun was a very good actress that he literally felt their relationship as ruyi and the emperor was real.
當年如懿還是皇貴妃的時候，惢心為了如懿到慎刑司受罰，當時如懿質問過皇上，皇上說為了名聲，不能接受有非議的皇后，結果現在變這樣，有學者表示繼后是因為更年期導致性情大變，我看性情大變的恐怕是乾隆！

I have watched this video over a dozen times. I think ater he slapped her- her reaction is ever so subtle. It's like this is it. When she cuts her hair, stands up, faces him, extends her hand with her cut hair, in his face, and the way she just opens her fingers to let it fall to the ground - it's the perfect "I'm done."
It’s very rare to see emperor wearing dark colour of clothes, also, wallace’s acting made me successfully hate qianlong. Poor empress, she took the fall for emperor to live longer, wanted nothing but peace.

Such dignity. She knew she would not get away unscathed after doing this but she was resolute and unyielding. Watching the emperor scream in her face accusing her of being crazy and a failure of an empress while ruyi spoke calm and composed as she listed out his every fault and shortcomings is very ironic as it makes you wonder who is the real crazy one here.

I think Ruyi's love language is Words of Affirmation while emperor's love language is Physical Touch. If he were to just tell her that he loves her and if she were to just hold his hand, they'll probably be okay. But then, there will be no story eventually. 😅
But jokes aside, Ruyi picked Dignity and integrity over man and status. Love it. Ruyi is an epitome of a woman who won't take things lying down. I felt that the last resort was when the Emperor hit her. That's basically his treatment towards all his other concubines when they go against him. This very same treatment is relayed to Ruyi as well so what makes her any different from the other concubines (even though she did not go against him but merely telling him he has changed since the time when he was still a prince).
She did go against him strong if you know the traditions...
Did she actually refused to go intimate with him? No, right? If he made those advances like normal husband, I dont think she will refuse. Why would he always misunderstand her?
i know yanxi is a different drama, but that last scene with wei yan wan and the empress in yanxi where the step empress asked her what made the emperor love her more than her, she said she never said she loved the emperor. I think this is also applicable to Ruyi here, she was very demonstrative of her love for him that he took her for granted, that he thought with her he can get away with anything because she loves him but unlike the first empress, ruyi does not have the love for her position that is why she had the courage to lose it unlike first empress who always was obedient and tolerate her husband but was pushed to do back handed evil things to let out her jealousy and frustration.
@@tsuyoi-hikari i think in that scene he raped her. i think she knew that the emperor wanted her to refuse and create a drama to prove that she is not inlove with him anymore. He was asking for trouble so that he could conclude that Ruyi was indeed having an affair with Ling Yu Che. He placed her in a position where she couldn’t refuse him for the fear that he might execute Ling Yu Che and blame it solely on her, if she refused it only means she did not like to torture LYC who was standing outside the room to hear them having sex because she loves him. I think this was a sadistic move from the emperor because he knew Ruyi had principles so it was a double edged sword to do this, she had been raped just so she can save LYC even if she is already hating the emperor. I think he was testing her, like an ego contest, He wanted her to bend backwards for him. He wanted her to be the girl who would do anything for him, who would rather shut up than lose him like his other concubines esp consort ling who’d rather have him lose his reputation just so she can remain in his favor.

I personally love angst dramas in general but this drama in particular seemed very stressful to watch lol so I passed it -- just watch snippet of it every time it appears in my suggestion videos haha

這部戲中一直不能理解皇帝為何不肯相信孝賢皇后真的害過皇嗣害過妃嬪，認為她是至善至美的，甚至一直拿她跟如懿做比較，在他眼中彷彿只要對他百依百順，阿諛奉承的就是好女人，半點忠言都聽不得，如懿說了便覺得她是忤逆是狂悖，但她如今是皇后啊，當然要以皇帝的聖譽為重，居然還說還說令妃順從他會哄他高興，那是因為她不是皇后只是妃嬪，人民要指責也是指責皇后的不是，她當然敢這麼做，如懿身為皇后，她若不勸諫，到時候被太后指責的也是她，而且自己當皇帝這麼辛苦難道不應該享福這種話，他生在皇宮生活上本就比平民百姓過得好，治理好國家也是理所應當吧，是他的這種心態才會把前朝努力打下的根基掏空，國庫虛空沒有錢打仗，才需要一直嫁女去平定邊疆部族，惡性循環，且如懿以斷髮來說明她要皇帝改正的決心，說明現在的皇帝已經不是當初那個有理智有理想的少年郎，他完全聽不懂還覺得是她瘋了，是大逆不道，根本就不懂她為何要斷髮，這個皇帝到後期真的智商堪憂

Idk if it was a weird voice-over issue. But the Empress’s voice being calm and louder than the Emperor shouting was really nice. And that her voice felt deeper than the emperor. Like she had all the power of voice and he couldn’t handle it.

These scene is very great. It really had a couple whose relationship is in the brink of ending portrayed well. In my opinion, it is more than powerful the same clip in Story of The Yanxi Palace.
I don’t understand why people criticised Wallace Ho’s acting. I mean he is very handsome for the emperor Qianlong, like how handsome John Lone is when he played Puyi (because both emperors in real life are not handsome😂) And back to real history, QianLong was indeed a wise, dedicated emperor at the start before turning corrupted and vain when he got old. That’s why he gradually acted unwisely and led to the beginning of the end of the empire. And Wallace Ho really made an amazing portrayal over his character.👍🏻

這時一開始如懿給過皇上機會了，而且明明就是皇上忘了自己身份，如懿是再幫他，渣龍卻口口下嘴如下刀，導致如懿真的失望了，所以她本從一開始勸說皇上要顧及自己，但皇上絲毫沒有領悟過來，拿炩妃跟皇后比，根本直接踩了如懿的臉和心，如懿後面敢把話越說越重，是她真的失望了，她一直就只有皇上一個男人，所以她最後選擇寧為玉碎，不為瓦全，徹底和皇上撕破臉，渣龍前面幾次挨巴掌 如懿都忍了，但最後這巴掌徹底打碎多年情分，和如懿本抱著最後一絲絲希望，如懿敢斷髮就代表她心死了，就算那時皇上要立即殺了她也無所謂了
兩兩相望 惟餘失望 說得太好
