I like to replace those trilobular bolts with regular bolts as they are less likely to strip. save the trilobular in case you need a new case.

Where does the long cover bolt go? Have 7 short ones and 1 long one 😂 guessing the bottom?

I believe on the bottom on the side toward the exhaust.
