- In this final stage of a hazardous, take down the picks up with Kevin far out on a limb, waiting for the GRCS to lift the limb safely away. After three lifting rigs, it’s back to the top to piece the trunk down into a rather small drop zone. Come along for the final stage of this technical climb with unknown trunk integrity. Stay tuned until the end and see what the base of the tree looked like after the final drop. Thanks for watching and please visit www.gameoftrees... where all purchases help support the Guatemala project.
That's a long day in the spurs. Good work all around

Another professional job by the Game of Trees crew! Thanks for the video!
Thanks!!
A very impressive job! I would love to hear about your groundcrew sometime,if possible.✝️
Thanks!
Thank you!
At 4:10+ the advantage of the GCRS is on full display. Very nice. Unfortunately very expensive.
😃 but it’s the return on investment that really matters.
My feet hurt after watching that. Lots of hours on spurs.
Put ‘‘em on in the mornin, take ‘‘em off at night.😂
HEY Kevin at 3min27 seconds ur sideloading ur Caribeanor...I use those spring Caribeanors to help stop that. Becarful my friend
Yeah, thanks, my rubber grommet came out of the swivel. I’ll get that rectified
Be nice to those raccoons. You don't want PITA coming after you.
😃
Can you explain how you tied off the tension line that you removed at 34 minutes.
Secured a block at the appropriate location in the canopy, rigging rope up to the block and back down to the base. End of rope tied to the base with a running bowline, Standing part was tensioned with a Dedicated GRCS. Second GRCS was used for rigging.
How does having that tight line parallel the tree give you more support while rigging out the dead tree?
Do you need a special certification to be able to work so close to primary power?
I’ve taken the training several times in my career. Also, as owner of the company, I can ask myself to do it😃
At 8:00 your carabiner attached to your Akimbo looks sideways, was it supposed to be in that position? Also you're one of my favorite arborists.
No, the rubber grommet fell out of my Petzl swivel which occasionally results in carabiner play. I’m about to swap my swivel for other wear issues so that concern will be mitigated. I suffer from “long time climber syndrome” and perhaps am over relaxed on some of the finer details 😂 great observation Juan. Thanks for that and your kind words! Glad to have you along for the ride. Que tenga un buen dia.
