Hinduism: Mythology Vs Reality

  • DescriptionThe various stories in Sanathana Dharma are full of amazing fantastic tales of Gods, Goddesses and demons. They form an integral part of the spiritual beliefs of Hindu culture. But how can a rational mind hold them to be true? Are Hindus actually saying these things happened or are they just metaphorical? Are they fact or fiction?
The video explains there are three ways to understand the different stories: Symbolic, Historical or as a Reality.
For many devotees they use these narrations as a reality which dictates their perception of how they view life. This is a profound devotional science which results in one being transported into deeper states of Divine love. A Love which reveals the ultimate Truth.

Understand word first , Shiva = that which is nothing, adisakti = energy ( Shiva is existed due to energy ) , brahma = engineer God, vishnu = preserve before all 3 gods and 1 goddess their was only "ommmmm "

    • @greaterbharat4175
      @greaterbharat4175 4 года назад +11

Om is supreme ( and part of om is brahma vishnu and Shiva, adisakti is energy which make balance in nature and she is nature itself ) , brahma created all creature with their counter creatures = like snake and eagle, devta ( gods ) ashrura ( demon ) but both are capable to do anything like demon can become God too ( fire is demon God in Hinduism)

    • @greaterbharat4175

Brahma created humans and after 7 rishi ( 7 highly intelligent being ) came to earth goes to every part of land where human lives he gives vedic knowledge ( that's why indo European have similarities in language and gods , and also swastika and some other sign)

@Master Che without knowing a anything and sprouting non sense in comment section doesn’t make whatever u say right. Saraswati is personification of knowledge and art and is one of tridevi who came before trinity. Trinity and tridevi doesn’t have a physical body that’s why we worship them to initiate in spiritual path. Sex is only for material universe to create a vessel to contain a soul that’s why we refer to it as temporary. I am not going to waste my knowledge with a ignorant fool like u so have it ur way however and whatever fits in ur mind. After all eventually everyone and everything will perish and some fool like u who was busy in spreading ur non sense will die without exploring the life to its fullest, in our culture we focus on exploring life rather than mocking others. I don’t know if there is any hell or heaven but I am pretty sure I will live and die by seeking and exploring rather than mocking other beliefs

In Christianity, Jesus must have absolutely existed and the Resurrection must have absolutely occurred for the entire savior mythology to hold true. This is the case where a dogmatic and exclusivist truth claim must rely purely on its historicity as foundational without which it could be just one of many paths subject to personal interpretation just like the ithasa of Hinduism. Hinduism doesn't make such dogmatic and exclusivist truth claims which gives it enormous power in teaching spiritual lessons. The complete lack of obsession among Hindus about the historicity of the ithasa is baffling to the Abrahamic mind which cannot fathom that the truth is in and around us everywhere. We are living some form of it since we are part of this physical reality with a conscious mind. I see no better approach than this for the upliftment of humanity.

@@devolishash3946 My friend. Regardless of which news channel you watch. Don't trust them immediately. We live in the world of deception. The media is our enemies. What did I say wrong? I said - watch yourself and see yourself and pass judgement yourself. Thats how judgement should be passed. If the people were converting, they were not being forced to come and watch, they were not being forced to convert. It was there free will. Since when has free will become crime in India?
His TV got banned in the UK because "some other" speaker and not Naik. The other speaker spoke on Homophobia and that's not allowed in Islam. Thats not hate speech. Homophobia being classified as a disease is a new thing in itself.
And he doesn't fool people. He gives quotations and speaks and the Indian media takes his talk out context and potrays it wrongfully.
Go to his channel and see the comment section. Are you saying that we , Muslims, are all bad people? Because there is so much nice things on his comments. Surely, there is something fishy in this.

I do not watch him but I have seen his videos in the past. He doesn't shame anything. He speaks from their own scriptures. I have read the Bible as well. There are too many things which we can't even talk about in person or with our children when speaking of the Bible and the same thing can be said about Vedas. Dr. Zakir Naik didn't write the Bible or Vedas so due the blame of "shame" where its due. And he hasn't ruined Islam at all. He has done a lot to raise Islam on the contrary.

The timing of this video could not be better.. I had just seen a video by Farhan Qureshi about Ganesha's story, how Shiva chopped his head off and then brought him back to life, with its yogic meaning - and had begun to understand that sometimes, we are so carried away by the narratives that we don't focus on the principle, the moral of the story and its yogic meaning. This video elaborates on that. Also, I completely agree how we embellish the central stories according to our bhava - and that's the reason the Vedantis are able to interpret Krishna in dwaita, advaita and in vishistadvaita.. Thank you for this video.

It seems that my way of understanding god is very similar to yours, surprisingly so. I don’t have your stories to learn from ( much different culture) but I have had many personal experiences, hardships, doubts, life lessons, to learn from. I’ve spent a lot of time in introspection and prayer to overcome or just even to understand those life lessons and through this to have the truth revealed in my heart, to be changed in my very nature. That was a very beautiful way of describing the inward journey of finding god and how we are changed by the experience.
My idea of god isn’t an anthropomorphic man in the sky, though I do think there may be other beings/ angels of so many faiths, that do serve that same divine spirit who in ancient mythologies may have been thought of as gods.
God is a very personal experience, a relationship, for me god is like a fire that consumes my heart.
All relationships with the divine will be experienced differently as we are each one of us very different from one another. Like children with their parents. A mother can have two different children and love them both, she is the same but her children being different from one another will perceive their relationship with their mother differently.

    *_Why I'm Hindu?_*
I'm a Hindu because it is one of most free religions of the world (I could say the only religion, a perspective) as it gives me the maximum freedom on almost everything. I'm a Hindu when I am not following any God, I am Hindu when I am following multiple gods, I am a Hindu when I am following one God, and what not.
There is no limit in defining what Hinduism is, it is the tradition which allows me to dance in ecstasy, get ultimate experience of joy in the music (Nada Yoga), realise the self worth, know ownself. It provides me the ultimate freedom in living as I want, at the same time teaching me to follow the ontological theory originally can be drawn from the laws of Karma. It teaches me that the learning has no boundaries, and makes me to be shameless in learning anything that can provide benefits to others/society. Liberalism in learning can be seen when Hinduism openly talks about Kamasutra (The science of sexuality).
The great science of consciousness and the mind donated to the world by Siddhartha (AKA Gotama Buddha) some of his teachings are yet to be proved by the modern sciences. There is more science in Hinduism than beliefs.
Hinduism is the most diverse religion in the world with respect to its followings, cultures, traditions and values etc. It incorporates the different cultures from north to south, from east to west and the centre. The best thing I love about Hinduism is that it doesn't want you to change anything inside you or what you follow and who you follow, you can be a Hindu even when you don't go to the temple or any religious places, no obligations but to be nice to everyone and to yourself, and the last to know yourself.
There is more to write on the beauty of Hinduism but the centuries will last, and the content won't. ❤️
A perspective with my little knowledge.
    Much love ❤️

A Catholic nun in Warsaw, Poland, wanted ISKCON banned because its followers were glorifying a character called Krishna “who had loose morals,” having married 16,000 women called Gopikas. - Media Report
With the rapid spread of Hinduism worldwide, a Catholic nun in Warsaw, Poland, filed a case against ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) regarding Lord Krishna.
The case came up in court. The nun stated that ISKCON was spreading its activities and gaining followers in Poland. She wanted ISKCON banned because its followers were glorifying a character called Krishna “who had loose morals,” having married 16,000 women called Gopikas.
The ISKCON defendant requested the judge, “Please ask the nun to repeat the oath she took when she was ordained as a nun.” The judge asked the nun to recite the oath loudly. She would not. The ISKCON man asked permission if he could read out the oath for the nun. Go ahead, said the judge. The oath said in effect that the nun was married to Jesus Christ.
The ISKCON man said, “Your Lordship! Lord Krishna is alleged to have ‘married’ 16,000 women only. There are more than a million nuns who assert that they are married to Jesus Christ. Between the two, Krishna and Jesus, who has a loose character? And what about the nuns?”
    The case was dismissed.
