I'm actually really happy they kept Snapshot in the third column, I had it on my Black Armory one and I always felt like it made the gun feel so quick. I'm personally going to be going for Snap/Rapid Hit I think, just for that super fluid feeling.
What barrel and mag would you pair with it?
@@ssjronin3972 probably Arrowhead Break for handling and recoil, Accurized Rounds for range. With a range masterwork it gets to like 99 range dropping off at 42 meters. With Rapid Hit, the stability and reload should be quite nice. I agree with TV that Zen AND Rapid Hit together may be overkill.

TV, I was lucky enough to get an arrowhead break, accurized rounds, zen moment and rapid hit w/ range master work. It’s really fun and so smooth.

Before watching your video I was honestly not sure if I wanted to chase Blast Furnace because I’ve already got a good crafted Disparity. After watching your video I can see the appeal of the Blast Furnace. Will definitely be chasing one now as time permits. Thanks for the video TV and all of the awesome content.
I cant believe you didnt even mention SACRED PROVENANCE.I have one with 15k kills on it , 450 pulses are a hidden gem, I was really waiting to see a new one on the field. Blast furnace seems to be a new gem for my armory.
450 aggressive are only a hidden gem because of how few there are. I’m not sure if there are even 10 of them in the game

Unless we count Reissues/Adepts then 11 with the 2nd blast furnace and master mode insidious.

Sacred has been my favorite aggressive pulse for a long time. The sights and feel of the gun make it my favorite.
Still have my old zen moment/rampage roll. No origin trait, so will still hope to snag one of these.
I have rapid hit and headseeker and it feels great ngl. Think it’s bugging saving grace is the zoom being 18 like messenger and has a very clean sight. I like the overall consistency and it feels a lot better than the comp pulse. Disparity’s issue I think was that even craftable, it just didn’t hit farther ranges than messenger. This has noticeable better range and it does help a lot. Never got one when forges came out so it’s fun to try it
Really happy that Blast Furnace turned out great and feels smooth, especially after I crafted Insidious and was completely disappointed.
I got a shoot to loot and firefly roll and in pve I love it. Love having it back

Got 3 with snapshot and rapid hit after my first 50 wave clear. Now to see if I should got crazy range 99 or stabily 88. Look forward to testing my rolls againi

Elsie is wildly overrated imo. Even playing with a god roll, it feels like a more limp Phylotactic Spiral.
I’ve been using the role I got from unlocking it. It’s got perpetual and kill clip, stability masterwork. It’s done me good in the games I’ve used it in.
Kinetic tremors procs in three bursts in crucible so you can have a tremors kill clip roll where if you don't get your 2 burst down the third burst could be to the body all 4 shots and still kill with tremors.
First roll I got was desperate measures, headseaker with 100 range🤩
I got a shiny blast from the chest, which got zen and rapid. With range being almost at one hundred, I say it’s a really good pulse
Relevant to the point, but I used to be a big pvp scout hater. I never liked how any of the ones I picked up felt and stayed far away from them. Then came Crota's End and was hearing stuff about Song of Ir'yut, and man, I love that thing it just feels so good.
But I was also a pulse hater at that point as well, not a single one worked well for me and my playstyle. And yet here comes Blast Furnace the fucking beast, put the curated shiny to test and it feels insane. First match dropped 30 with it and decided to keep playing with it for longer, definitely gonna find a roll for myself and highly recommend it.
When it comes to consistency, Belisarius-D is the way to go because it also has a Stock option. I got one with Smallbore, Ricochet, Ele Cap, Zen M, Hand-Laid Stock with a Range MW and the stats are 99 Range with 82 Stability. Ele Cap can get the Stability to 100 easily or get the Handling up with Arc Subclass. It also has good damage options like Headseeker and KC in the fourth column.
Blast Furnace may be the best PvP pulse rifle in Destiny 2, but can it see why kids love the cinnamon taste of Cinnamon Toast Crunch?

I just got one with zen moment, kinetic tremors, kill clip, and rampage… should I keep grinding for a different one?
I like the perks on the curated roll. And for me, it may be the only one I go for, as I am still hunting a few of the other weapons. I know this is a bit off topic, but Onslaught and Hall of Champions was not designed for any longevity. Just today, the day after reset when Luna’s and Blast furnace came out, I played so many runs of that mode where people dipped after the 20 rounds, leaving me alone on wave 20, hoping for match making to bring people in. It’s gotten progressively difficult to get tokens to spend on these weapons once you hit max level with Shaxx. I have no other source other than Onslaught and hoping people stay long enough to get the final 2 chests. Anyway…I’m curious if others have had the same experience I have?
You sell this really well, but I have a hard time wanting to use a kinetic slot legendary pulse rifle because Revision Zero is such a monster. We don't have anything like Conditional Finality in the energy slot, so no exotics I really am drawn to.
I thought I’d be farming for the Lunas Howl, since it shoots very similar to my Malfeasance(except it can 2 tap), but I fell in love with this pulse with just the one that Shaxx gives you. Can’t wait for zen moment role with rampage and even better recoil. Easily my favorite pulse and I have several crafted
i really like that shiny it gives you, it feels perfect. id be content if i never get a better one.
I got one shiny to drop - it’s Zen Moment & Headseeker + Kill Clip and Firefly. unfortunately it doesn’t have great barrel or magazine perks. my personal chase on a shiny Blast Furnace is Kinetic Tremors / Firefly, so it’s a bit disappointing getting so close, but man… it’s a pretty gnarly PvP roll!

still have my old one..one of many i could not let go...one i got from shax will do...range and stability handling is a bit low but i always use ophidians so no big deal..
After watching this video I spend 20 tokens of brave on the chest by Shax after attuning the blast furnace and got your exact zen moment + kill clip roll just with a range masterwork 😂

I got a Golden one with Kinetic/Head and Frenzy/Desperate in the other column. Real damn good, thing's a workhorse but Lunas howl even at range is making this thing not be as good as it SHOULD be. Amazing otherwise, love this thing. Feels like the days of old.
I’m so excited to get off work and go play pvp now that I have a furnace. It CHANGED the game for me. Having meta weapons is everything in pvp and nobody will convince me otherwise

just got a random roll and i'm all in for damage with headseeker and desperate measure...so that i can hip-fire it like a BXR with damage perk active
I love the the Blast Furnace and have kept mine since Armory. Since then, I've have been loving my Sacred Provence and have 84k Crucible kills on it. I say that only because it has been such a consistent Aggressive Frame Pulse with Smallbore, Ricochet Rounds, Rapid Hit, and Kill Clip.

If it can 2tap with rampage x1 i think tempered measures gonna be even better cause it gives u excatly same dmg with rampage x1 (10%) but for 7 seconds
I got me a shiny version with perpetual motion, Zen moment, frenzy, rapid hit. So in PVP I either run perpetual motion and rapid hit or Zen moment and rapid hit and I literally can't miss
Literally have been using Blast Furnace in PvP since it came out in Black Armory. 408 forge rolls. Favorite weapon by far. Shame about the scopes & zoom though.
Notably, this and Luna's Howl are both Kinetic weapons with Firefly and are fairly easy to acquire, unlike a lot of other weapons with that combo (the few that exist are mostly raid weapons iirc; I know Smite of Merain has it). Of course there's Ace of Spades, but anyway... Chromatic Fire. The explosion radius isn't amazing, but 160ish damage and an elemental debuff to anyone near people you headshot is pretty nice. It's especially notable for Luna's Howl with Firefly in the third column, but as a pulse rifle enjoyer I'm looking forward to seeing how Blast Furnace performs.

what i love most about it is it's base stats, pretty sexy
I wish they would add a new catalyst for Revision Zero. More specifically precision instrument. It would be more rewarding for consistent headshots, PVE and PVP alike. It might be a bit overkill, but any aggressive burst pulse that can have it, would be far more consistent against champions in endgame modes also.
Elsie’s and Messenger are still 100% better.

Fr, a 0.67 TTK >>> 0.73 TTK, especially considering they both require 100% headshots for a two-burst and 6 bullets is more forgiving than 8 bullets.
It’s really more personal preference no? I have Elsie’s, Messenger Adept and now Blast Furnace but personally Blast Furnace feels the best to shoot with, especially with how much we can tailor make it to be our own with how much of a stat monster it is. Like I said, it’s more of a personal preference thing lol

Can someone help me understand why you would ever run a perfect blast furnace over a perfect messenger in 3s?
I'm not lie, when I used this in crucible yesterday it was so smooth I forgot it was a 4 burst rifle.
Aggresive frames are special. I've never gotten a blastfurnace so I'd sticked with right side of wrong and I loved it. I've decided to play again after a nearly 2 years of pause and I have to say, its the right time to come back. cu Guardians in the Final Shape
Don’t forget you can enhance the BRAVE Weapon’s perks when Final Shape launches. So whatever rolls you have could be even more lethal.

I love Elsie’s and I love messenger but I’ve never been a fan of any four burst but with these stats and especially the recoil control I’m gonna give it a go but it’s gonna have to be a good roll to beat my Elsie’s. Arrow head ricochet keep away head sealer and a stability mw is what it has to beat, good luck blast furnace haha

This gun fits in a perfect slot as a non-Trials adjacent Messenger, yet it can have better stats and far better duelling consistency with a good roll (Headseeker, Kill Clip, etc.).

Love blast furnace, have several good rolls but for me Elsie's rifle feels better. Kill clip on elsie's is super strong. Would like to get headseeker/kill clip on blast furnace though. I feel that's where it's at
If there was ever a gun to bring me back to D2, it's the Blast Furnace. This was the first weapon I got 1,000 PVP kills with.
