I love how large boats look out of the water and how they shrink in water.
It even works with huge ships, battleships Texas and New Jersey look positively *enormous* in dry dock

Nick, Please put a WARNING notice on the video! The shine on the hull was so bright I needed my sunglasses!! Seriously though, great to see someone take such care of their boats. You are an inspiration for all that has a more mature (Mind you I didn’t say older) boat that looks nearly brand new. I have regular trim tabs and added a Bennett Auto Trim Pro a few years ago. It's fantastic, no messing around adjusting the tabs, it just does it! You should have had Seakeeper contribute their Ride system!

I never look through the screen, only over it, and I never go boating on wet days (apart from moving to the berth because it was pre booked

Very nice indeed Nick, Smuggler's is looking very good for the coming season, well done to everyone involved.
I myself have recently got a Garmin 95UHD plotter with sidescan sonar and a Standard Horizon VHF for my boat, Casper (The friendly Boat), fitting them is further down the line while we are renovating the lazarette and the cabin. Last week I cleaned and re-waterproofed the canopy and was thinking how nice the boat looked without the canopy up, so looking forward to finishing the work and better weather to get out and about.
Lady Smuggler Blue is looking good, back in the water where she belongs.
Nick excited 😆 his "girl" got lots of new toys for him to play with.
The old quote " Boys and their toys" 😉.

I am moored on the Thames which is currently on red boards. I bought a new boat at the beginning of February but as yet have not been able to use it due to the river conditions. The previous boat and this boat always brings out the big smile. There’s nothing like a boat to give you some therapy 🤤

Congrats. I thought we had winter on the run, but she punched us right in the mouth last week with snow and an ice storm that knocked out power for 2 full days.
No way! 😲
I thought we got rid of summer here in Western Australia, but got a few mid 30s this last week, totally over it.
We were enjoying an early spring, looking for the first spring flowers, then that storm dumped 2 feet of snow on us! Luckily no ice though so we didn't lose power, just needed a day of heavy shoveling.
A loved boat for sure.
She looks better than new Nick. Should get my boat back in the water next week, fortunately the weather is a somewhat better here in Imperia, Liguria 😄

That is one good looking boat!!! Wow. My launch day is technically tomorrow (sunday) since it is friday night after midnight. But today after I get out of bed I have one more day for some buffing. I had 3 cm high line of algea just above the antifouling on my gelcoat. removing it was very hard and after it was gone there was some braun staining that even oxalic acid did not get rid of (it did with the rest of the braun on the bow). So I taped of the antifouling and used my most course riwax bottle to cut a tiny layer off. The 3 cm band took some effort and from there went 40 cm up and that was just a more quick buffing. tomorrow will try to get the rest of the bow and sides done. and after will put the hard wax on. When it is in the water I will go for the deck and swim platform. Would have been more easy on the hard but the weather had been so bad the last few months that there was just no time since I also have to work and have other things that need attention like the family. This was the first winter since we bought the boat and did a lot of work on the inside while weather was bad out. new matrasses, usb chargers everywere, fridge cosmetics (design and 3d print a missing temp setting knob, repair some rusty bottom edge, marked the anchor chain every 5 meters, etc. etc. still busy with the helm bench. new foam must go in, need to change the sun damaged throughhulls in the side for stainless ones and much more. but those things are ore fun when weather is good instead of dark wet windy cold typical dutch "winter" weather. Looking forward to more of your video's. keep it up!!
