What I love about Tommy is that he is always willing to share what ke knows with anyone he meets, and as he shows here, ego is not an issue when he shares... Mark of not only a great player, but a good person.

This is my favorite situation to listen to and play guitar. Sitting in someone's studio or living room or front porch and sharing ideas and jamming. It feels so much more free, without an audience. I suppose to a degree, that's selfish, but for me true. These guys are the absolute top of the heap in that regard. This is priceless.

Love that style of music...makes you feel like sipping barcardi and coke on an island resort somewhere. You can see Tommy's passion for guitar.
Better still, put on the music of Django Reinhardt, (which it was).
They make it seem so easy and it is to them. Both amazing guitarists . Been wrestling with the guitar for decades and have something in common with this pair; but its only as far as opening the guitar case, - after that the comparisons end. Well joyful to watch and joyful to be.
I was once compared to Tommy Emmanuel; they said, "Compared to Tommy Emmanuel, you're crap!" ....
Yes I know the feeling well, so I just keep practicing what I know, and get better at it, now I'm Gradually getting better, Slow is Fast, and gradually you get better then you expand, and repeat that process 😊😊😊

1st time listening to Juber. I was always pretty sure Tommy would turn up sometime. Two great players having a good time and sharing it with us...bum notes and all. Very real.

What is so cool, these guys are walking around standing no straps and produce this master work, truly amazing.
True story: I own a Martin Laurence Juber model and one day I was at Guitar Center and to my amazement LJ was there in the acoustic room so I had to meet him. The nicest guy ever and when I told him “hey I own one of your guitars” he said “Well I want it back! “ Great moment and have a picture with him to boot - also if you’ve never seen Tommy play live you’re missing a lot. Two amazing musicians and yes, a tour would be incredible!!
i played a LJ model one day for about 5 minutes, and regret to this day that I didn't buy it. Finest guitar this lame-ass acoustic player ever played!

Sheesh! These guys start humming at each other and playing a few notes then hit a couple of chords and BAM the electricity takes over and they are off and running communicating by humming and nodding when they got it without saying any real words. Absolute genius at work! Just love it.

I'm glad these moments were captured. I'm a musician but I have a family of 6 and a full time job. Very little time for practice. I get immense satisfaction seeing the very best of the very best jamming and having a good time. Kinda makes up for not having the time I'd like to grow in my own music. Keeps my mind churning anyway. Always love Tommy. Such a nice guy and so talented. I always refer to him as the best guitar player in the world. Amazing music!!

Thanks! I've been a long time fan of LJ and only found out about Tommy Emmanuel through this video a few months ago. As luck turns out, Tommy is touring in my home town in January 2017 so can't wait to see him. I do love this video- the effortlessness with which they play and their enthusiasm is inspiring
Awesome, prepare to be amazed! Tommy is fantastic, I am going to see him live again in January 2017, too.
I always love to hear Tommy play the less bombastic things he so seldom gets to share because everyone seems to expect that from him. He has such beautiful feel for the instrument and can coax such deep emotion from it when allowed to. The pyrotechnics are fine - just overemphasized IMO.
Tommy goes into "Swing 42" in most of his videos. And why not - such a great tune....
Mind blowing
The best instrumentals I've heard have been 2 guitars playing off each other, one playing harmony and the other melody, then switching roles. Doesn't matter the style, at all. Surf, blues, jazz, rock, it just works. Hint to players out there, nothing else acoustically sounds like this.

That's the thing with all production stuff, occasionally you get a "freak" one that everything just fit perfect! I worked in the G.M.Holdens car factory sometimes you'd get in a car & it was just freaky how much more power it had than others, this guitar I liken to that, it sounds great 'cause everything fit perfect, not just " within tolerance"!

Most people know Laurence from McCartney year. Also his great instrumental covers of Beatles songs. Both these guys play a lot of Beatles songs . Great melodies are great melodies.

Kinda cool how Tommy was saying it was originally played. Your mind just kind of puts the "missing" notes in there anyway. I wonder if that would be the same if I hadn't heard the more contemporary versions first. This is awesome. Two MAGNIFICENT musicians goofing around.
I love how they were passing a Kalamazoo KG11 back and forth in the beginning until Tommy takes it back, starts to play Nuages: game on!
