- Nevin recently brought us his 2015 Mustang GT featuring a Procharger P1x running on E85 with a return style fuel system for a full dyno tune. Although we tune a lot of S550 Mustangs on E85, this one even surprised us with the power it laid down!!
I love the pro charger I like the fact that you don't have to remove the tower brace and you don't need lowering mounts.
and they offer a loud or quiet blower. Plus you power delivery is smother and more manageable.
excellent guys!
These coyotes are Killin the competition.
This is flat out nuts for it to be the smallest blower! Seeing stuff like this makes me so much more glad I went with PBD. Keep killing it guys!!
Ken truly has his shit together, well done amigo.....
That power right there will hurt some feelings on the street from a roll! Awesome car, awesome #'s. Can you please do some comparisons between other blowers with the same bolt ons please
Damn, that's amazing! You guys definitely know your stuff. How has this channel not exploded?
Thank You! We only recently started trying here on You Tube. Never was enough time. Hopefully that's what 2019 is all about!
@@PalmBeachDyno ,
Does PBD does blower installations or just dyno tuning ?
If you don't do installs..... which shop in Palm Beach or Broward do you recommend ?
Keep up the great work. I liked the GT500 vs the 911 Twin Turbo video recently posted. 👍 😎 🏁
Was it just me or did that inlet tube swell under boost?
It looked like it started to get a fatty to me lol.
every angle...swelllllssss brrrrooooooo
Mmmmmmm stock 5.0 bro so yeah it will
I've seen them poop loose from the clamp on these centrifugals.
@@johnrunion7258 Has nothing to do with centi style blower turbo cars and pop charge pipes to. More to do with bad clamps aka worm clamps. Obviously twin screw roots don't have this problem because none of the pipes are under boost.
A rooster wont sing ever more clear. Making perfect sense as always. That line graph shows the dedication and attention to detail that goes with work. Commendable results of dedicated hard work.
That's great power from a P-1X on E85. I can only imagine what a D-1X would put down on the dyno.
Not all that much more. It's little over 100hp more. This may not even be maxed out yet. With a small pulley this will make more boost if they're running the either the factory 6.78 balancer or the ATI coyote 20% 7.88 balancer. Depending on the pulleys and engine RPM the P1X has a max impeller rpm of 65,000.
If you want more power over this jump up to the F1 series.
D1 would be a good idea if your running in the NMRA and you have to use approved supercharger for a class. You can pick between the P1X and the D1X so then you would want the D1X.
Great video here. Made really good power. Not bad to have 1000bhp from a P series supercharger.
I would definitely go with a f1c or f1r. I'm running a procharger f1r on a 2011 mustang and the car makes over 900 rwhp on 93 octane. The torque is in the low 700's on 93 octane. Gotta love the sound of the big red blowoff valve.
@@waynebollentin989 An extra 100+ rwhp is quite a bit more power considering the difference in price between P-1X and D-1X head units.
If it only makes about 100 more it's not worth it for reasons I explained for me. People are free to do whatever. I rather jump up to the F series where I have more room to grow. Spending the extra money for that unit isn't worth it for me unless it's for drag racing in a class that has rules like in the NMRA
@@waynebollentin989 Can't be a sleeper car with the F series head units, because they only come with straight cut gears. A D-1X would increase the HP/TQ gap even more between itself and P-1X on E-85/Race fuel. It's only a couple hundred bucks between the P-1X and D-1X head units.
The prochargef angles of this video are phenomenal. Amazing work guys.
Such a clean car
Did anyone else notice the pulled moving outwards on the blower at the 4:30 mark? Not sure if that’s normal but damn it definitely moved out.
Damn these coyotes are absolutely beastly...from a GM guy.
PBD, you guys should have a roll race with p1x, vmp, paxton and whipple and lets see what setup is king. I know dig racing is different but, to prevent parts from breaking Roll Racing would probably be best.
We will leave that sort of stuff up to our customers to do. I notice you didn't mention turbos...lol
@@PalmBeachDyno yeah... there is a reason why, we all know that turbos are more Superior to all other 😄. It would be fun to see what setup wins.
@@coyoteslugger3936 turbo is def bad ass...but rent out an air strip im down :).
@@coyoteslugger3936 superior in all ways besides cost. It almost double the cost to do a turbo system right. Not to mention the extra hours of install and modification over superchargers.
@@csr801996 my take on all this is...im pretty much tapped out on stock internals; so turbo wasnt needed. And i love how the car drives and how the power builds; I wouldn't change a thing. The @Palm Beach Dyno tuning is magic!
you can watch the supercharger output shaft walk out about a ribs width at 4:26. looks like they still use those wave spring washers between the bearing and the case. I kept throwing belts years ago because of this and doubled up the washer to stop it. Procharger actually makes a solid shim for the d1sc. Don't know about the p1x.
The coyote 5.0 is just fucking insane

Anyone else see that flame @7:20? Ha
Question. I'm a hinds v6 guy and we have rotrex as our option but it's a centrifugal nevertheless. Would adding an aggressive cam hurt or help a centri set up? We're looking at boost power vs lift and duration power now.
Look at the end play movement on the pulley on the dyno pull procharger needs to look at that does not look right to me
Definitely a liability there
lol.... 10psi so I can get a good race :)
Yeah good stuff. Also a pressure regulator on boost gauge for rides. Yeah just 10psi lol
Not a lot of power down low but with the new A10 it wouldn't take long to put it in the power but the power curve up top ! Trq hardly falls off even at the cut off ???
Great videos Ken.
Torque trails way behind the turbo cars, boost for boost and HP for HP.
Captain obvious strikes again...why so salty cap?
Huh? Oh, it’s your car in the video. Blowers are the inferior choice to me in so many ways. Why didn’t you go turbo?
@@christophermorales1509 i agree turbos are bad ass but I really like how this looks, drives, sounds and the power is more than what I was looking for.
I have both...turbo lsx fox body and P1sc-1 C5z. Turbo cars make great dyno numbers...but you get tired of the issues and the traction problems eventually. Centris just pull harder and harder with no issues.
Great numbers on the P1x hopefully in the future I will buy one of these just to build and have fun with it. But it will be hard to decide what to go with turbo, whipple, etc

a little off topic.. haven't seen any stroker kits for the koyote...do they exsist? these things would make awesome gains with a few more cubes
That’s a beautiful mustang!
I have had turbos in the past... Grand National, Toyota Supra...I always want to put a super charger in my 2011 mustang, but this makes me second guess that decision.
I owned a mkiv supra twin turbo as well...this car would blow that supra away...
You’ll be really shocked how long that trans will stop working.
Who does these backing tracks? Music is badass
That stangs looks and sounds great.
So I have a question if the coyote 50 can produce 900 hp why can’t ford produce 800 hp with the 5.2 L engine in the GT500 it doesn’t make sense
Ford isn't tuning the engine on E85 for one thing.....not as much boost 2nd and have to worry about producing an engine that will have a chance at living for the 5 year/60k mile warranty.
Because Ford's goal is not to make the most power. They have a long list of objectives and durability is near the top of the list
At 7:24-8:04 was not the same pull it doesn’t shoot flames like the one before

Oh and how is the ride with the bmr products and ride tech coils? Thanks. The tune was already awesome but in house changes just shows how good you guys are. I will be contacting you guys. You explain your videos even for the novice and that's great!!! Keep the videos coming!
Gt350 intake allows it to rev more but you really need the billet oil pump gears and crank gears, and also the fuel delivery. The car rides amazing with the ridetech coilovers; they'are actually quiet n less bouncy than stock performance pack. The bmr stuff reallly tightened up the slop with the irs and I purposely skipped differential bushings to avoid any gear noise. I really cant report any significant increase in NVH and the car feels planted and just goes.
@@SrtifiedHawk hey man hows the car doing now? other then OPG and crank sprocket did you upgrade any other engine parts? 890hp is a lot for a stock engine i didn't think it could hold that much.

I'm curious on what else is done 2 that motor🤔🤔. I watch a lot of tuner videos & 2 get that kinda power outta a z06 or 7 it takes minimum heads & cam 2 get that kinda power wit a blower. I'm just tryna 2 get a full understanding on what other upgrades are or aren't on the pony.
Zero is done to support more power. The oil pump is swapped out as a safety measure but make this power all the time with these engines. Very common for the Gen 2 Coyote
@@PalmBeachDyno so why does so much have 2 be put into a LS block 2 get the same power 🤔🤔. I don't get it🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️. Not a Ford,Chevrolet or Dodge fan but a fan on speed. 2 many chargers running around, the untrained eye can't tell the difference between a regular charger & a hellcat so i'm leaning towards a mustang & a Corvette. This is great information that s kinda helping me make up my mind.
1tuffzx10 LS engines are pushrod single cam engines. The Coyote is dual overhead cam with twin independent variable cam timing. It uses oil to vary cam positioning. Overall the Coyote is a more advanced, more efficient engine than the LS. The LS is simpler and smaller making it a good engine for swapping into other cars. That’s why Chevy guys do like 100 mods to the engines and are still running 10s while 2nd gen Coyote cars are just strapping on boost with E85 and a tune and running 9s. Coyotes are great engines and love boost.

The 15-17 gt has forged rods has the same bottom end as the 12-13 Boss.

.....alright....i'm stickin' with the P1X!!
Tony Bolton do the paxton 2200 or vortech. They use the same blower on either kit. The paxton outflows the p1x by a few hundred cfms. Also comes with a larger intercooler. Kit costs more than $1000.00 less than the procharger. For the money saved you can do a fuel system or lots of other mods for the money. Just my 2 cents but figured I would put it out there for you to research. No matter what kit you do though you will be very close to power and they're all great kits so any one will do👍👌

Tony Bolton completely understandable my friend. I was going to go that route with a d1x but for the money i went the paxton route. Great customer service also.
