I made something like this for my husband to carry tools for emergencies. Used it for years our son now uses it.

I love making these. They are handy for so many things. I think it will be fun adding the decorative stitches to the next one I make. I look forward to Jen’s tutorials. Great idea! It's customizable too. I could make one for my crochet and knitting tools!
Nice idea, Michele! Thank you for watching! - Sophie
That was the very first thing I thought of! And we could add a shorter piece of material on top of the half piece to make additional pocket sections for our stitch holders, etc.
@@rgporter1957 Oooo good idea to add a pocket for stitch markers.
My crochet hooks will be so well organised. Thanks to all commenters for additional ideas. From Brit in Spain. You really get around!
Great idea! Thank you for watching!! -Lindsey
I love this!!! It beats having all of these supplies, tools, or flatware, etc., knocking together in a drawer or tray. Thanks for sharing this!
The Roll Up Organizer has so many uses! Thank you for watching, Lonna! - Sophie

Just love this! I have finished making mine and put Scissors, large and small ones, Rotary cutter, tape measures, marking pens/chalk pencils, clips, 3 different elastic guides, point turner and sewing/knitting gauge. Was fun making it and will show the ladies at sewing next week and most probably they will want to make one also. Thanks for showing this project!
We're happy this project inspired you!! Thanks for sharing and watching!! -Michelle

That's so awesome! Thank you for sharing! - Sophie
That is awesome Beverley!!
Nice tutorial. Masking tape or washi tape can be used to hold the elastic out of the way instead of a pin (I’m always poking myself 😠). It works great.
That's a great idea! -Lindsey
Great tutorial..thank you! I'm going to make a utensils, napkins, straws, sanitizer to keep in the car 👍🙂

I love this! I’m going to adapt this to fit the scads of interchangeable knitting needle tips I have. I can coordinate the fabrics based on each brand and type I use. Thanks so much, Jen!

Thank you for watching, Lynn! - Sophie
Love, love this idea. Great gift also.
A wonderful gift idea! Thank you for watching! - Sophie
I really like this and what a wonderful hostess gift! The only thing I have done differently is, I Fold over the pocket, which makes for a sturdy double pocket material. I find that is a really fast way to make it sturdy. I really like your ideas of the decorative stitches. I am encouraged to make this to use those stitches. Thank you very much.
Thank you for watching!! -Lindsey
Beautiful fabric choices you used 💖💕😍!!!

Awesome!!! Thank you for this handy project 😊
Thank you for watching, Jean! - Sophie

Such great uses for this organizer! Enjoy! -Lindsey
Really lovely. Sew.. cute. Thanks😊
Thank you for watching! - Sophie
Clever! You might also try 3M micropore surgical tape to hold tricky areas. You can sew over it if absolutely necessary, but it’s removable.
Love that idea! :D
- Beth
Thanks for sharing! I made one for my crochet hooks.
Great idea! We're so glad you enjoyed this project. -Michelle
Great tutorial! Thank you so much for sharing! :-)

@Sara So glad you enjoyed this!! Thanks for watching!! -Michelle
OMG! I love this! Such a great idea! Thank you for sharing!
This is such a fun project! Thank you for watching! - Sophie
Could do with a flap to cover the tops of the cutlery etc.
That could certainly be added! -Lindsey
What a great way to use mask elastic! I am wondering why you chose the type of interfacing you did, and what others would also work?
Great question! It looks like Jen uses that interfacing for its convenient size since you do not have to trim it too much to fit this project. It is already 20in on one side so you are only trimming it down to size on the other side. You are more than welcome to use anything you prefer as long as you have the right measurements. ;)
- Beth
I'm planning on making this but a bit taller so that I can use it to store knitting needles. Also maybe one just a bit shorter to store crochet needles. Another short one to store my double pointed needles. Will really organize their storage!
That's a great idea, Mary! Thank you for sharing! - Sophie
Good idea
Thanks for watching! ;D
- Beth
I really like the project, however, I think it would be nice to see more sewing and less talking us through the process as not all of us are beyond the novice stage, also perhaps the overhead camera could be moved a 2 or 3 inches towards the front of the table or away from Jen as we see more of the top of her head than what she is trying to show us. These comments are meant to be helpful feedback and not just nasty criticism. I watch every video she puts out.
Thank you for your feedback, Marion. - Sophie
@@markdolan9459, good you?
I agree about the position of the overhead camera.. I love Jen’s videos.
great for makeup brushes for travel
Great idea! -Lindsey
where can I find your pattern for the ro\ll up?
You can find the Free Download for this project here: www.shabbyfabrics.com/free-downloads-and-video/392/ Thanks so much for watching. -Michelle
Do you have free printable instructions
Hi! Our free downloads can be located on the very bottom of our homepage😊! -Lindsey
@@ShabbyFabrics Thanks
What is the purpose of the horizontal elastic? if sewn, it can't really stretch?
Hi! The elastic towards the top helps keep taller objects in place a bit better while also allowing flexibility while removing or placing items in the organizer! -Lindsey
@@ShabbyFabrics Thank you... That makes sense.
Très intéressant problème je n'ai pas les mesures en français dommage la réalisation me plaît bien merci
