Looks like some of the cars officers used to get around in WWII: - a classy touring car with off road tyres same as this. They've even done it in Afrika Korps colours.

Crazy car off-road with elegance in a desert storm color this is the stuff kids make up in their minds.
Wauw!!! What machine! For me no rollcage and off-road tires but love to see Thai on the road….love the square front and back with these lights! It’s a mix of G-class and Tesla Cybertruck🤩. Now the normal Maybach looks old fashioned. And sooooo cool interior!! Looks like a study model and could be the next big cult car of Maybach, the same as the G-class is for Mercedes Benz!

It’s too low to the ground. Taking it off road would mess this thing up
At first I was like, 😒 really? But then, I fell in love. Just a beautiful beast. I hope Mercedes Maybach actually puts it into production. Owning one would be a dream. Love the glass roof, star gazing galore feature! The classic drawer made me laugh, took me back to my childhood. The solar panels were a great touch. The seats…eh. But overall…9.8 out of 10 for me. Rest in Power Virgil as powerful as his concept is spectacular!

I have mixed feelings. This is totally radical and I personally love the look and concept. Where I live in the mountains of the PNW I would/could absolutely run the guts out of this car on our back roads and truly put it to the test.
To anyone reading this wanting to have a one off custom vehicle retrofitted with all the bells and whistles, exoskeleton, bumpers, lights, navigation, stereo system that gets people attention etc my team and I can make just about anything happen with the right funds and resources. I would love to make a Tesla overlander, old Mercedes diesel, Cadillac CTS-V, Dodge Raider, things with a unique look and design, not all these copycat overland builds.

@@joemomma5014 I don't think so. Look up Harry's Garage, Testarossa across the Sahara and his Rolls Royce video across the Tundra. Nothing hardcore but something you drive in Dubai, the Arctic, etc. I think it needs rear wheel steer due to the length, but I think the Rolls Royce Silver Shadow nearly as long. Both very good series to watch.
But it definitely needs the rear wheel steering from the S-Class that has 10° of rear angle.

Truly hiddeous. A seat that looks like a hard suitcase, VW wheels, front looks like a WWII jeep, the colour scheme with that bege and black, the roll cage... NOTHING LOOKS GOOD.
Seems that the project team's desire was "let's make the uglyest priciest most luxurious off road vehicle". For that, they did it great!

I bet you can barely see over the hood and I'm pretty certain that it's the ugliest most expensive "off-road" car I've ever seen
Two issues. One is that the length is not best for off roading up and down grades. In fact, it may be an issue when leaving and entering a driveway with an upgrade or a higher curb area.
Secondly, the wings on the driver's seat may obstruct turning head to see the blind spot behind the left side. Yes, I know you can use the side view mirror. You didn't say if it had a rear camera while driving.

As someone who drives their Jeep all over including some of the most challenging trails, I just giggle. Imagine taking this ‘car’ off-road. I imagine it would do ‘ok’. But the owner would loose their shit that first time a tree branch gave the car what we affectionately call “trail pin striping”. I imagine this would be perfect for some places in Europe where the weather gets absolutely crappy. You still want to drive your expensive car, but need some capability
Screw that man, if I had the money to get one of these, it's going in the mud immediately. If I could, I'd buy a G wagon and turn it into an overlanding rig. Wish that was more common though😩
