    Hi Stephanie, I like your setup. When you have a moment check out the Grand Design Imagine 17MKE. It's a
    really nice floor plan with a Murphy bed. My sister in law has this camper and it's really sweet the way it's
    laid out. When not using the bed, it raises up into the cab of the camper and you have plenty of room. It's the
    perfect couple camper or a single full timer as well.

    Nice setup, I wish I could full time in that camper trailer. 😉

    I really like your camper. I live in a 30ft Rockwood full time and watching your videos is making me want to sell my property and hit the road again.

    This is great. I'm so happy for you. I would love to live in my trailer but that's just not an option for me. My wife wouldn't go for that - she's having a struggle letting me tell her what she can and cannot bring for camping trips. LOL. But I think it'll be fine. The one thing is - I am having the dickens trying to figure out my solar panels, the inverter/converter and all that. I should rewatch your other videos where you talk about them. Again so happy for you on this fun adventure!

    That's amazing, Tom! Never occurred to me to change out the fridge. Yes, the "wall" between cabinets are indeed flimsy. Just bought my trailer and will look at that divider again. Great ideas! I'm still mulling bed ideas so appreciate these convos!

    Since your house is on the market and being advertised as so, make sure it secured and monitored keeping squatters out. Good luck on your new adventures and trailer build. I'll being following you, just subbed.

    You might try putting the bed on the back wall and that way you might have a sitting area closer to the Fridge. You can use wood and create a filler for support instead of the table. You can also put in a Lagun Mount for a table and that way you can have a little space to do some work or extra eating space.

    • @lifewithstephanie42

      Great idea! I’ve seen the Lagun Mount idea a few times and I’m thinking that’s the way to go in this little trailer ☀️

    I'm thinking that after you have lived in the camper for a bit you will know exactly what you need as far as space and amenities and can upgrade to a trailer a bit larger than the one you have right now. I'm thinking an APEX Nano trailer might be the perfect size. Looking forward to your discovery.

    I have been off and on full timing in that exact trailer model, but just sold my house and committed. I still use the single side for a bed but upgraded to a narrow twin mattress it made a world of difference. bigger bed I’d do a full but I’d turn it 90 degrees. east to west get a piece of plywood 29x21 half inches to put where you put the table is currently gives you more floor space and more easy access to the cabinets in back. I got fabric boxes at Walmart to put my clothes in I limited the my cloths to the passenger side cupboards and passenger for my pantry and small appliances, that sort of stuff. If you like coffee get a aero press, great for one cup plus super easy to keep clean and small. I meal prep every 5 days or so outside then just use the microwave to heat up my meals. Oh I use a portable suitcase pellet grill for my oven outside just had to remove the feet on it and fits in the garage in the back. Have even done small pizzas in them. Plus works great for grilling. Get a gym membership at a 24 hour with multiple locations for showers but may not be bad for you I am 6 foot and the shower is snug in the trailer for me😂. I am able to run my AC with a champion 2500 watt generator. The fridge will last me 3 weeks with full battery and good sun but I only have the one panel. But I live in eastern Oregon so don’t get as much sun as Florida lol. Best of luck I’ll have start following you to see your adventures and if I can help you with anything

      Oh and I use a tv tray for a table when it’s crappy outside to eat off of and store it in the bathroom when not using it. Works good to put the smoker on when outside

    Camping as a single I have a storage box in the pickup bed for items that don’t need to be in the camper. Bottle jack, tool kit, emergency road triangles, etc. I do not stock up at Costco or Sams but buy only enough for 3-5 days keeping things fresher. From 20 years on motorcycle travels knorr side dish & a protein makes a simple easy meal. 2-3 changes of semi formal clothes the rest is easy to store athleisure wear. Small light weight nesting cookware, No coffee maker or toaster. An inventory list that is ever changing of items I realize I can do without and things I decide I would like to add. Every part of the Rv lifestyle can be an adventure with daily positive thoughts. Always looking forward to your next video.

    Since you might not be able to park your trailer near work, I'd install camera's that upload to cloud storage and hide air tags in it. When you can, store your food in glass or metal to hide it from rodents when you're off-grid. If you find you need more cold storage a car refrigerator running on 12v could be a good solution. Car refrigerators are very cheap now and a great place for all your cold drinks! Congratulations on living tiny, I'm working towards joining the tiny revolution too!

    It's happening! Can't believe your house hasn't sold yet. We sold our mothers house in less than a week at 40k over asking. Not much of an organizer, but I'd say use square clear containers for easy take down and containment. I save my boxes that appliances came in to store them in. IE: toaster and coffee pot.

    Always enjoy watching your videos. I just bought a 14 FK which is even smaller than yours. I plan on doing cross-country camping with it (and will be living in it nonstop for three months) so I converted the back into a sleeping area. I basically renovated the entire camper and have a twin bed back up against the windows going left to right or east West as they say, and then seating for two with a lagoon table in the remaining area of the back. I hope to post a video showing the renovation but I can pm you some pictures if you'd like. Kudos on selling your house and taking the each step to live on the road. I thought about doing this myself

      I just purchased the 14 FK as well. My intention is to boondock/dry camp so I removed the microwave. 4 screws; very easy. I built two cabinet doors (you could buy them premade). It's now my largest cabinet, other than the "closet" under my fridge. Using it for food, pots/pans, etc. Having said that, I've never been dependent on a microwave as a cooking source. Just an idea and maybe not for everyone!

    • @todaywithtom
      @todaywithtom 3 месяца назад +1

      @@christinehoff5910 I plan on boondocking with my 14fk too :) That's why I bought something that was small, relatively light and no wider than my tow vehicle. That said, I don't know what Forest River is thinking sometimes when they put in these massive appliances in such a small camper. It's not a food truck. Anyway, I did the same as you and pulled the microwave, but I went a little bit further and remade that space to accommodate a small fridge. (I wish I thought of the pre-made door idea. Brilliant!) I also pulled the big fridge (a big project) and moved the cabinet doors from the bottom to the top, and turned that into storage. I then found a three drawer cabinet that fit in the same space on the bottom. I put a small microwave on top of the counter on the left as you walk in. As a suggestion I would remove the walls of the cabinet under the sink because there is a lot of space underneath that is wasted. It's pretty easy to do. I plan on posting some videos on everything I did. Sorry for all the detail.

    Hopefully your destination will have a low crime and good security cameras that serve as a deterrent. A laundry mat nearby, possibly a small generator in the event that you need it with summertime approaching. I think you mentioned that you need a water filter. Your inspirational (even without a quote).

    Living in the trailer is not going to be any cheaper than living in the house. You want to go on trips go on trips just don't sell the house you'll regret it later.

    • @loriejohnson8706
      @loriejohnson8706 Месяц назад

      It can be more or less expensive, you don’t know her housing expenses, if the camper is paid for, the cost of where she will park, how far she will drive etc. Also money is not the only reason people choose thie lifestyle.

    You said your solar doesn’t run the heater? Isn’t it a furnace using propane and the battery powers a fan?

  • @otwer22

    One thing I would look into is the four supports for the table are not very strong and with your setup if sleeping in the middle you are stressing them. Maybe you can get 2 or 4 more and mount them so you distribute more of weight evenly. I saw a video where the guy mentioned it as they tore them up up.

    I am thinking of your exact same model and I have exhausted watching videos, and being an engineer and tech geek I have a bunch of questions that manuals can’t answer. Would you be interested in helping?

    Here is an idea: one thing I don’t like is the work the transition from table to bed has, so if you are going to leave it as a bed could you do the following to have a desk. The small countertop next the bed could you do something like a turntable and put a larger top on it that can swing out for a desk top
