  • This was my latest project. I made a roll sizer on my CNC x2 mini mill and CNC mini lathe running Centroid Acorn and CNC 12 software. I used 12L14 steel alloy for the project.

    Nice! Seems to function very well. I ordered a rollsizer and should be here in a few days! I own a design/manufacturing company and I can understand the anger rollsizer feels when seeing something like this. It’s happened to me with several of our designs. Folks, please don’t be too critical of companies that get upset about these things. Please remember these companies bet everything on these designs and put countless hours into perfecting them. Then they have to find a way to market and distribute them while making enough profit to pay for all the employees required to get a machine out the door from start to finish. I know it’s probably hard to understand if you’ve never done it. I for one, do appreciate seeing the ingenuity people reveal in these projects, but it can be difficult for the originator. I’m completely capable of duplicating a rollsizer, but honestly I make more money doing what I do, than what I’d save building one. Congrats to this man and his project, and thank you to rollsizer for furthering our abilities and knowledge of the reloading process.

    As far as dimensions between the internal roller and the outer wall, is that dimension the exact size of the case or have you allowed for a certain amount of over pressure to allow for a desired dimension after spring back..?

    So if the in Australia is so protective of his over priced "invention" , there is another commercial version of this product from Brazil --> ruclips.net/video/uTyeMkELfi0/видео.html
    The question now is.. who really invented what? lol Rollsizer.com, lessons you should learn is figure out how to make your product better and make money in volumes rather overpricing them and selling less. someone is always going to make similar products, just like there are many different brands of cars.
    The product from Brazil looks better and way cheaper. Leave the hobbyist alone!!

    very nice ,,,the only thing i would change is to change out the top support bearing in that gearbox to a high quality version...i have two of those gearboxes and they are known for low quality bearings and fit,,,hell of a job though

    • @mr1hander
      @mr1hander 3 года назад

      @@yankmachain_gunfighter hey boss, a better idea than changing bearings would be to raise the wheel just enough so that you are not roll sizing the rims of the cases ... is the wheel itself tapered or is the outer body of the sizer tapered. again killer job

    • @yankmachain_gunfighter
      @yankmachain_gunfighter  3 года назад

      @@mr1hander I have a slot milled into the outer body as well as the center disc to accommodate the rim of the case.
      I did not incorporate a taper in the parts. The only point of contact the sizer has with the case is where the bulge is.

      @@rollsizer5623 You dont seem to get it. People are turned off by your rude attitude and condescending remarks. This guy isn't offering these for sale, he's just showing off some of his handy work for personal use as far as any of us know. You want spend your working capital on a lawyer half a world away to prosecute a hobbyist? Yeah, he took inspiration from your roll sizer and probably countless others on the market. Do you need to be recognized for that? If so, why? In this context it makes no sense. If you really want to protect your business and the thousands of dollars you've invested in your company I sincerely suggest you stay out of the comment section and focus on more of your own content, because your replies here are doing you way more harm than good.
