How unfortunate that men like this are so few and far between especially in law enforcement. Officer crimson admitted on her own camara she didn't go in cuz it wasn't her child in Uvalde. 276 officers showed and at the end almost 400 officers none with the courage and morals as this officer.

I have a lot of nieces and nephews and I don't know if their schools have 'resource' officers (we live in a small Northeastern state with a very low crime rate). The thought that a HS needs a police officer is just baffling.

There should be legislation for gun violence and school safety. As we can see, we need both. What happened with the officer that was there prior to the Texas gunman entering the school. I will not be the center of someone's negotiation tactics in exchange for trying to provide safety for school children. You have to question people who think in that manner. What's the motive? In exchange for money?? No, not me and I'm not interested.

End 99% of INSIDE shooting with a metal detector, and a rifle armed officer or however many needed depending on size of schools.Shouldering a rifle is 100% a priority.

Kentucky did that. Each public school has a police officer armed with a rifle. They comple 3 weeks of specialized training specific to schools such as active shooter response, tactical medical, FERPA law, de-escalation, dealing with special needs children etc.

I recognize this high school as the school i used to go to. Very good idea to have an armed guard at these million dollar schools. from all the shootings that have happened in smaller towns. I always ask myself what gets a kid to start shooting if you have over 20 kids you need an armed guard just like the banks

He's already armed and on scene. Exchanging fire with a shooter gives staff and students time to get to a safe location. Some SROs have stopped school shooting before they even started.

Just another victim. Until officers strap a rifle on, they are DOA.
