I'm from Alaska (originally) and have moved to Seoul last month (by way of NYC) and your trip reminds me of going back home (to Alaska) with all the green and nature walk, and the trip to the supermarket. The verdant landscape and blue skies make me question why one would live in a polluted and crowded city like Seoul (this is a rhetorical question). One of the big surprises for me in moving to Seoul has been the air pollution and the rare view of blue skies. I've been to Seoul many times so this is less about culture shock. Thank you for this video and reminding me that nature is good for the soul. You also did a good job on editing this video.

I just randomly stumbled across your video and to my surprise I see footage of my hometown! Greetings from a fellow Haligonian! That shopping plaza is only about a 10min walk from where I grew up. Also, I went back to visit My family in Halifax just a few weeks ago and was surprised at the gates they put up in the arrivals area at the airport that prevent people from coming into the baggage area to greet their family and friends. First of all, fighting with such long flight journey is always tough! I can't even survive 6 hours flight to Seoul from Malaysia last year lol! Hey Sarah I have a book recommendation for you! Maybe you've already read it but that encounter you had with that white neighbourhood cat reminded me of Takashi Hiraide's book called Neko no kyaku. I can't speak Japanese so I read it in English (in English it is called The Guest Cat). It's a really cute book. Thought you might like it :)
