Dolly Parton is America's national treasure.
This is one of my all time favorite songs by The Eagles. It has special meaning and memories for me as I grew up in Duluth, Minnesota, and we had a Seven Bridges Road (originally 10). My Mom grew up in an area just south of Seven Bridges Road and took us kids, and later, her grandkids, to go 'woodstomping' and swim in the pools of the Lester River below the 7th bridge.
While a little faster than I like it, you did an amazing rendition of this song! Love you always and forever Dolly! 💜🙂💜

Hearing her voice sing this track gives me shivers! God love a southern woman who can sing, look and play a banjo like she can. A once in a lifetime personality and voice and huge pioneer for not just women in country music, but the whole music industry. A true legend 👏
Steve Young wrote this while living in Montgomery. He and friends were riding down Woodley road on a moonlit night when he wrote it. Reminds me of my younger days out riding the back roads. There was another road called 13 bridges road that was even better.
Steve Young is a great singer! There have been many hit covers, but Dolly’s is the first as thrilling as his original!

If you like the opening then listen to Iain Matthews' version, the original multi-harmony cover that the Eagles covered. It's kind of a trippy English 70s/80s vibe and is really interesting to listen to as a tie between the original Steve Young version and the Eagles with its own musical style.
