From a RUclips or VH1 show Vito can't play without pain in his hands, almost like electrical shock in his hands. He dontvplay much anymore and doesn't have a great relationship with Mike Teamp either.

My favorite Hair metal player, Vito is a very musical guy, and the only reason I liked White Lion. His solos were killer. Vito now lives with his mother in Staten Island, and enjoys time out of the limelight, with little interest in performing...too bad, I miss him, he was the best of the genre

Vito is no doubt a highly gifted guitar player but it was painful to see the guy leaving the arena to help his ailing parents. Although I support his cause wholeheartedly but man! What a loss ! You no longer hear him playing awesome melodious solos and shredding at the same time. Dear Jay ! I will strongly recommend you to listen to White lions’s song “Love Don’t Come Easy”. A mind blowing solo that will move you for sure ! Please try that some other day!

White Lion were one of the bands "killed by grunge" in the early 90s, but their fourth and last album, "Mane attraction", released in 1991, is still their masterpiece and one of the greatest albums of the era. Stellar melodic hard rock with more than a hint of Thin Lizzy. White Lion's biggest hits, "Wait" and "When the children cry", can be found on their second album, "Pride" from 1987, that originally flopped but eventually reached double platinum after those songs became belated major hits.
Fun fact: the band as such is American, but lead singer Mike Tramp is actually Danish and have even relased a solo album in his native Danish (another one's under production.
Fun fact 2: of all former White Lion members, the one boasting the most glorious career is bassist James LoMenzo. His curriculum vitae is so crazily eclectic that it not only encompasses David Lee Roth and even John Fogerty of CCR fame, but also Megadeth - who he recently rejoined.

Vocalist Mike Tramp aka Michael Trempenau were originally in Danish pop band Mabel. The won the Danish Song Contest back in 1978 with Boom Boom. They moved to Spain and started playing heavy rock under the name Studs. They released one self titled album in 1981. Later moved to New York and recorded some demos as The Danish Lions in 1982. When the three other members returned to Denmark Mike Tramp decided to stay and formed White Lion with guitarist Vito Bratta. Drummer Greg D'Angelo started out in Anthrax and bass player James LoMenzo are a member of Megadeth these days. Tramp later recorded two albums with a band called Freak Of Nature. I have seen them two times. They were much more heavy and harder than White Lion. These days he doing his own thing under his own name

In 1978 they competed in the Eurovision song contest with a song called Boom Boom. And after that Mike moved to the US and formed White Lion. White Lion was never very popular here. I guess people could not get used to see him as a heavy rocker. Now he is back in Denmark, where he holds lectures about his career and give small solo concerts. He s a very nice and funny man.

one of my favorite bands from the late 80s, absolutely wore out that tape cassette lol. Wait was their big hit and Vito Bratta kills it with a solo, lady of the valley is a great song as well. Not many misses with this band.

Like with so many hair bands that released a ballad, this song marked the end of the band. They released one more album before disbanding.
Lead singer Mike Tramp reformed the band as Mike Tramp's White Lion. Guitar virtuoso Vitto Bratta basically called it quits after the band broke up. Which is ashamed because he was so talented.
I remember the VH1 show Bands Reunited where they tried to reunite the original line up. All members were willing except Vitto. Who refused to reunite and refused to be interviewed.
You should react to their best song (after this) is Wait. Off the same album.

And just think, white lion "when the children cry" was made before you were born. Been a heart felt song for me since it came out. So very happy you experienced this song. Back then it was about bringing the world together, but now a days it seems like bringing America back together, since we have been so torn apart. Glad and happy to hear you loved the song. Will subscribe, and will occasionally send you other music you might not have heard, but could also move you. Hugs

I saw White Lion back in their prime and they gave a great show at Lamour's in Brooklyn. But three years ago, I saw the singer Mike Tramp do a solo gig out here in Colorado. I went up to talk to him and he was so nice. Very personalble and grateful for the fans.

Hello from northeast Ohio. As a Gen X'er, White Lion was a band I listened to for years in my teens and twenty's. If you liked this, you should hear the concert version they did in 1988 at the ritz club in New York. Type the following words into the RUclips search field: "White Lion - When the Children Cry - 5/5/1988 - Ritz"

What I love about this song, and White Lion, in general is by appearances the audience wouldn't take them very seriously for having a message this deep. And as emotionally tough as the lyrics are, I feel like there is still an undercurrent of hope. It mentions that the world will be better, wars will end and there will be peace. It's perfectly your attitude Amber. Every generation has their rebellious element, but I think there are just as many of us dreamers who want peace.

If you guys haven’t done it “Runaway Train,” by soul Asylum is another good 90s song.
Would also recommend “child in time” live ‘70 preferably but the music video is also good and “when a blind man cries” live version where Ian Gillan name comes up on screen. Both deep purple band that did smoke on the water.
A great reaction to a great White Lion’s son

I hope you are correct Amber. In my hippie days in the late Sixties, I was certain that the Age of Aquarius was upon us. The Youngbloods sang "Get Together". The end of wars, racism, etc... Then when the Wall and Iron Curtain fell. Scorpions played "Winds of Change" and I thought all was gonna be well again. Now we have a huge war raging in Europe and our young people are dying in the streets here at home every night. I never want to loose optimism, but it'a really hard to hold on to hope. Wage Peace!!!!!

I had the pleasure of catching them LIVE here in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Back in the Summer of '89, at the Ottawa Super Ex. They were opening up for Cinderella, the whole bill was... Tangier, White Lion and Cinderella. What a show it was! Mike Tramp's voice was just as good live, as on the album. Vitto Bratta was KILLIN' it on the guitar. Great memories of a great band that should have gotten WAY more recognition! Loved the reaction and keep up the GREAT work! 🤘🤘🤘
