Vito Bratta, one of the most underrated guitar players of ALL time. And yes- his solos can bring tears to your eyes.
From a RUclips or VH1 show Vito can't play without pain in his hands, almost like electrical shock in his hands. He dontvplay much anymore and doesn't have a great relationship with Mike Teamp either.
My favorite Hair metal player, Vito is a very musical guy, and the only reason I liked White Lion.His solos were killer. Vito now lives with his mother in Staten Island, and enjoys time out of the limelight, with little interest in performing...too bad, I miss him, he was the best of the genre
Agreed. Vito is criminally underrated and has a unique style. He's one of the few guitarists that you can identify just by hearing him play.
I went to see them when they were on tour with Vixen and Ozzy, needless to say, it was a great concert 💯
Vito is no doubt a highly gifted guitar player but it was painful to see the guy leaving the arena to help his ailing parents. Although I support his cause wholeheartedly but man! What a loss ! You no longer hear him playing awesome melodious solos and shredding at the same time. Dear Jay ! I will strongly recommend you to listen to White lions’s song “Love Don’t Come Easy”. A mind blowing solo that will move you for sure ! Please try that some other day!
This song was tough to handle when I was a teenager; it's harder now as an adult because I understand so much more. Their song "Wait" is a much happier song so give that a listen.

@Joe Cool Little Fighter was good, but like I said my favorite White Lion song is Tell Me.
Some of Vito's best solos are in the songs "Don't Give Up", "Sweet Little Lovin", "Wait", "Lady Of The Valley", "Goin Home Tonight", "Little Fighter", "Don't Say It's Over", "Livin On The Edge", "Tell Me", "Warsong", "Lights and Thunder" and "Love Don't Come Easy".

White Lion and Cinderella are my favorite bands of the late 80's. "WAIT" is another good song by White Lion. 2 great songs by CINDERELLA to do are "COMING HOME", and "THROUGH THE RAIN"

There was a version of this song that came out after the Oklahoma City bombing that had clips from the searchers and the news reporters in it. THAT one was the biggest tear jerker of all time! Great band and great song. They didn’t get enough credit.

this song came out when i was pregnant with my oldest son and it was dedicated to him. He was born hearing impaired and mentally challenged so it was very special song for me for him so seeing you react to this is emotional for me but i knew you would love this song between you having kids and are teachers this would hit your hearts
Ok. I was wondering when you all get to this song. A great song with a great message. This song will be relevant forever as far as I'm concerned.
I once met White Lion guitarist Vito Bratta outside the L.A. Sports Arena after a Ratt/Britny Fox/Kix concert in 1989, and he was a super humble, very low key guy, definitely not someone who sought the limelight or really wanted the kind of attention that most rock stars receive. We chatted for a bit and he signed his autograph for me when I asked, but just meeting him was enjoyable. I’ll never forget that encounter. I hope he’s doing OK now, even though he’s not making music anymore.
This song was GIGANTIC on radio and MTV back in 1988-89. I don’t remember anyone not liking it.
Theres an honest Beauty to this song thats geniune......Vitto BRatta is one of favorite guitar players from that era........His melodic ear is unmatched...........the "WAIT" Solo is pure genius
Love these guys. "Wait" by them is my favorite, has one of the best guitar solos I have ever heard. you've also got "Love Don't come easy" and "Little Fighter" but sadly this band broke up after their third or fourth album so we don't have a s deep a catalogue for them as I would wish.

Great song and message !!!! It actually surprised me this came up as this CD is packed in a box with 1200 other CD's of mine and I forgot it.
Vito Bratta was an amazing guitarist and it was a huge loss when he decided to leave the music world. He and Mike Tramp (the vocalist) made some magical music together. I really loved their first three albums. They hit it big with this one (their second album). This song along with “Wait” and “Tell Me” were both hits off of the album and put them on the map. Their next album had great tracks like “Little Fighter”, “Cry For Freedom” and an awesome cover of Golden Earring’s “Radar Love”. Definitely a band you need to check out some more.

one of my favorite bands from the late 80s, absolutely wore out that tape cassette lol. Wait was their big hit and Vito Bratta kills it with a solo, lady of the valley is a great song as well. Not many misses with this band.
Before slippery when wet came out in 86 basically I just played the Pride tape and The Final Countdown over and over

"Tell Me" by White Lion is a great song my personal favorite
"Wait" was their best song I think. Much more of a rocker.
I just subscribed and I'm going on my 7th+ hour straight watching your reactions you both are so sincere and your appreciation for all music is so appreciated.
I like to put in 4 songs that are like One Hit Wonders the first became a hit by accident it was recorded around 1982... A Radio Dj in 1989 was supposed to play the Side A but played Side B and the rest was history cause this song holds the Guinness World Record for longest held note in a song (29 sec.) this track has a STYX song feel to it.

Great! You guys have finally witnessed the most underrated 80s hair metal band of the decade! Now check out little fighter wait and little fighter. Those are a couple of their big hit. One thing about White Lion is they were not afraid to take on controversial subjects like When the Children Cry and like little fighter and also check out Cherokee. That is a great song about what Native Americans had to go through

I saw them live in concert in the summer of 1988, in Tampa Florida. And yes, this song was on the setlist, as was their other incredible song, "Wait."
It’s amazing. I remember this song when I was a teenager and it was an amazing song. As an adult and have teenagers of my own. It seems like a whole different song. It’s amazing first song I have ever heard that it feels like I’m listening for the first time again. It has a whole new meaning as an adult.

Vito Bratta is one of the finest guitarists ever !!! This is such a beautifully composed song by Mike Tramp (the singer) & Vito. The band were just so underrated and didn’t get all the recognition they deserved.
You MUST listen to Wait, Little Fighter, Lights & Thunder, Hungry, You’re All I Need, Love Don’t Come Easy, Tell Me, Cry for Freedom, their cover of the Golden Earring song Radar Love is brilliant, Warsong, Broken Home, All Join Our Hands & If My Mind Is Evil ….. some great singles and deeper cuts too like Warsong which is a killer live song too.

You guys have to get to more of these guys. The guitarist, Vito Vratta, is amazingly melodic. He uses shred techniques, but he makes them sound so pretty.
Next up has to be RADAR LOVE! Mainly due to it being one of their biggest hits. Having said that,
CRY FIR FREEDOM is their absolute best song in my opinion & Brings a message like this one did. Near perfect
I have listened to this song since it came out but ok, I just cried.
I have been watching you for several months now and so often you want to know the back story of artists and songs of the late 60s and early 70s: Bands like Crosby Stills and Nash, the Doors. The Mamas and The Papas The Birds: Singers like Joni Mitchell , Linda Ronstadt and on and on and on. May I suggest you take four hours and watch the two-part 2020 documentary titled "Laurel Canyon". It is a masterclass in the history of rock and roll. Once you see it you will never be the same and never look at music again with an unknowing eye.

To think that this song was written in the 80's & it still rings true today is frightening & personally I think this is the best song ever written . Everytime I hear this song I think of the news footage of the Columbine high school shooting that shows the kids crying & I've always said I wish this band would've done another video of this song with the news footage as a tribute to the kids that died that day .

White Lion’s song ‘Lady of the Valley’ crushes me every time I hear it. Truly one of the most underrated bands of the hair metal era.
I agree with everyone’s comments about their guitarist Vito Bratta. His guitar idol was the king, Edward Van Halen, so you will hear a lot of Eddie’s style in Vito’s playing. But the saddest part of the story is how Vito stopped his music career to take care of his sick father for like 5 years. Then Vito himself in 1997 injured his wrist and had difficulty moving his left hand up and down the fret board. It wasn’t until 2007 that he made his first musical appearance for 2 nights in New York.
But he is a very gifted guitarist and a hell of a nice guy. My favorite song is their cover of Golden Earring’s 1973 hit Radar Love. The way everyone plays their parts with their funk and flare. Check it out I promise you’ll love it better than the original. But pick a lyric video and not the official video. The original video cut the song down by several seconds.
No matter how many times I hear this song, it hits just as hard.

Amber, if you're crazy, we sure could use a whole lot more crazy people in this world. I'm right there with you. I believe that we are going through the birth pains to a new age of humanity. I believe that you and Jordan, along with many others are going to help to usher the rest of us slow learners into an age of peace and love. I truly hope that the crazy is contagious, because the so called sane people out there, are not leading us to anything that remotely resembles good and light. Thanks for what you do, and keep on showing your light.
Mike Tramp from Denmark is singer. I remember when their music video for WAIT came out….always juggling for number 1 on MTV between Guns N Roses Welcome To The Jungle and Def Leppard’s Hysteria video. Wait should be next review. BTW I was disappointed you reviewed Def Leppard Hysteria as a “lyric only” review without the video! Hysteria is my favorite Def Leppard video so please fix that. As for White Lion….listen to Wait….and Little Fighter👍
