I hear very little TSR in there.
I do wish TSR was more like the Currents B-sides though.
He actually made this in the very early peiod transitioning between Lonerism & Currents. It didn't make the album because he thought it was just made so early compared to the tracks that did make it.
What I love about tame impala is that most of his songs genuinely take practice to enjoy. Like this one, imo. But once you get over that himp it’s just some of the best stuff ever
I feel like Tame Impala came into my life at just the right time. All of these songs have lyrics that I relate to, like...a lot.
I don't think there's any negative emotions that Tame Impala can't fix.

Incredibly psychedelic and hits you deep. This is just pure bliss music
It may sound weird but most of Tame Impala's songs, the first times i listened to them i thought "what is that..." and didn't really like it, but after a few times they just became my absolute favorite songs, and i honestly have a connection with them and never get sick of them, like a lot of other songs. So i kinda think it's cool- a band that if u like their songs it means u LOVE and CONNECT with them, not just a catchy pop song u get sick of after two days. Does that make any sense?

No, I totally get this notion. There are a lot of Kevin's songs that I have connection to with as well, most notably "past life", "Posthumous forgiveness", "Patience", "Borderline", "tomorrows Dust" are all songs I have a personal connection to. I showed my friends these songs, they didn't really take to them. I never get sick of these songs either!

Why is this song SO underrated? I've been going through Tame Impala's discography again and I found out this song, which I hadn't heard before. Immediately became one of my favourites. The lyrics hit so fucking hard

In an interview, back in 2011, one of the members said that he didn’t understand why they would call their music Stoner Rock music because everything sounds better when your high. It’s true that if a person gets high everything sounds better but I feel like you wouldn’t need to get high off of drugs to enjoy Tame Impala, the music itself can get you to that high feeling by itself. That’s why I’d call it Stoner Rock.

@@FreezyXz I don't think it's meant to be heard under the influence of psychedelics, it's just made with that experience in mind. Psychedelics don't do change the sound of the music, it's just you being hyperaware of every sound, which you can do when you're sober.
@@Oudri125 I agree it's not "meant" to be heard under the influence, but psychedelics do a whole lot more to how your brain perceives music than making you hyperaware. Listening to music sober vs tripping is an entirely different experience. Just like doing anything sober vs tripping, due to unlocking a huge number of neural connections that don't occur when you're sober.

With a lot of the tame’s newer songs I’m not that interested at first, but once the song picks up and gets more complex it becomes undeniable.
I think this is the best song from this era of Tame Impala. Can't believe it's a B side. It might be my favourite Tame Impala song overall.

This is my favorite song out of the three.
i've singing, playing, paying attention to music for around 30 years. This band and THIS particular album! Currents! and even the 'b-sides'....timeless audio perfection! tp was already great but they must of got with the right producer at the right time, and i dont know how they can top currents....they shouldnt try. they should just try to recreate these same recipes on their next one!
